SQL Server :: Arrange Record By Position In Group?

I want to develop rotation logic for my company's software by using SQL Query. I will explain you what exactly I want.
As mentioned in above figure (LEFT SIDE) I have 8 grades in alphabetical order A, B, C, D, E, F, G and Z. There are different companies belong with different grades respectively. This is my database table situation. And I want an output like (RIGHT SIDE) figure in my grid view using SQL Query.
The grade position is skipped if there is no any raw or company name exists. And newly entered Company is automatically placed in that respective skipped grade position.
I have attached an sql script for your kind help to make such useful query.

after i select data from datatabe and store to datatable finally bind to the repeater to display. but grid is always display what the datatable store there is many duplicate data appear in the repeater. i would like to show specifc col once and hidden other name which appears more than 1.
for example in repeater:
section desc seq no
A NT 1
A BT 2
A KK 3
B PP 1
then A appear more than 1. i would like to hidden A except the first record as belows:
section desc seq no
A NT 1
BT 2
KK 3
B PP 1

I want to do is to get the record number in my database of the first record that matches my search. Its to skip to a random point in the database based on user input.

It returns the number of records that preceed the first one to match the string. I have tried to call this procedure from MVC and it always returns -1, so I have a fundamental problem there. I have also tried ot figure out how to just duplicate the code in MVC and I also cannot seem to get anywhere on that front.
Does anyone know a simple elegant solution to either embed this code diretly into MVC or to call my stored procedure from MVC and get the correct integer response back, instead of -1? I am engaged in relearning development after many years, so I am getting stuck on the basics.

I have a settings page in my asp.net website,in which a user can select desired items and their order to be displayed in another page.I am displaying these items(which are obtained from database) in a gridview with checkboxes,up/down arrows next to them.Once the user makes his selection/rearranges the items and clicks on the 'Save' button,I am saving the data into another database table.When this particular user logsin again I want to check the items which were already chosen by him and arrange them in the order he specified, on page load.I am able to check the checkboxes of the already chosen items but do not understand how do I arrange the items in the user specified order?
Update: Basically 'items' in my question refers to column names of a database table.so once the user selects his desired column names and their order,the data corresponding to these columns gets displayed in another page in the column sequence specified.

I have set the Datasource of my gridview in code behind and created no columns. Then I added a template column in gridview. Now I want to change the order of my Templated column in gridview at runtime. I want to show the templatedcolumn at column 20 but it is shown as first column. My Grdiview looks like this:

I have a detailsview that has about 15 fields. When I display the deailsview I have to use scroll bars because all the fields are displayed one on top of the other. Is there a way to arrange the display of the detailsview so you have 3 fields on the same row then the next row of the detailsview displays 4 fields and so on.

I'm using a linq group by query (with two grouping parameters) and would like to use the resulting data in a nested repeater.

group row by new { StartDate = row["StartDate"], EndDate = row["EndDate"] };
"data" is a DataTable from an SqlDataAdapter-filled DataSet. "dateGroups" is used in the parent repeater, and I can access the group keys using Eval("key.StartDate") and Eval("key.EndDate").
Since dateGroups actually contains all the data rows grouped neatly by Start/End date, I'd like to access those rows to display the data in a child repeater. To what would I set the child repeater's DataSource? I have tried every expression in markup I could think of; I think the problem is that I'm trying to access an anonymous member (and I don't know how.) In case it doesn't turn out to be obvious, what would be the expression to access the elements in each iteration of the child repeater? Is there an expression that would let me set the DataSource in the markup, or will it have to be in the codebehind on some event in the parent repeater?
