I have data saved in a sql server database which i am using to draw a graph with in asp.net (c#) one field is an INT and the other is a datetime At the moment the graph is only drawing for all the data in the table i was wondering if there is any way to add into the sql string a statement that says for only today or this week or this month.
this is my sql string at the moment:
SelectCommand="SELECT [Time], [Temp] FROM [test2] ORDER BY [Time]"<br>
the format that the datetime is in is "2011-03-29 00:46:06.377"
Im struggling to find week start and week end date based on week number of the year. I have written this following sql to calculate that but it fails when year is 2012... The logic should count week number starting from first monday of the year. But it gives me wrong start date and end date when year is 2012, 2018....

I need to select complete week on selection of a day in calendar control.
View 1 RepliesI have a piece of sql code that selects the top 10% of a table. See below a sample of the database table
And this is my code
[Code]....
So what this code does is add up all the points in the points table, (also works out what percentage of the points each user has) and then displays the top 10%, which in this case will give me "John" and "Dave"
So what I need the sql to do is check if any other records in that table have the same number of points ast the last selected record, and to select it to.
I want to select the records of current week, Starting day should be from saturday till Friday.

how to get the start and end dates of the week by passing in a week number? I have a dropdownlist that needs to show 2010-05-17 - 2010-05-23 and I need to determine this date by passing in a week number.
Ex: if I pass the number 20, it will return 2010-05-10 - 2010-05-16 etc...
My dropdownlist will always only show one week and it will always be the previous week from the currect week.
how can i get the actual date through that date's datepart and calendar week? Its means that , i have Calendar week = 1 and datepart is Friday, so i will the actual date is 01-JAN-2010?

View 7 RepliesThe website is over half way done and the functionality for the blog is (except for adding posts) is already implemented and working correctlyI have a SQLExpress 2008 backendBlog posts are rendered on the page with full HTML markup within a label control.
All of the above is done and working. Though I am essentially new to creating websites with ASP.NET, CSS and SQL, I am sure that I could simply carry on and make a login page with some controls that would allow me to add records (blog posts) directly to the database on the host server. However, I am fearful of doing this because I know that malicious code can be passed in this way. Also, because of my lack of knowledge, the only way that I know of to pass the code from a control to the database is to disable validation for the page the control is on. Without a doubt I do not want to do that.
So what are my options for getting blog posts into the database? Is it safest for me to fully create the post in html and update a copy of the database that resides on my local machine? If I do it this way, how can I merge the records from the database on the local machine with the records on the remote server?
I have 1 textbox where user is entering date. Depending on entered date, I would like to calculate week start date and week end date for entered date thru programming without javascript. My working days are monday to friday

View 2 RepliesI'll admit that I'm not the best at SQL, but what I have is a database that has different podcasts in it. We have 3 locations, so each podcast contains three columns, one for each location. In each column is the date it was shown at each location, or null if it wasn't shown there. Most of the time, I'm selecting podcasts for a specific location, which is easy enough:
[Code]....
But what if I want to select them all? I want "Date" to always be the Hudson location, but if Hudson is null, I want it to be the date of the location it was shown at: AuroraDate or StowDate.
