script for Visual fox pro about shell execution in silent mode. I don't want to display the output of the running application in windows screen. I just trying to run the ".exe" file w/o viewing on screen.
As far I know this is not supported for asp.net projects. It's quite handy for testing static/shared functions.any info if this will be available in future versions? Or if there are any alternative ways to test your functions in design mode?
We're using a CMS product called Immediacy, which claims it can handle silent authentication using LDAP / AD but just can't get the thing to work.
point me to a good article or post that lays out the steps to do the above (assuming it's achievable)?
Basically, we need to secure pages on our intranet, and, as our firm is full of 'very important people' who 'don't have time to log in' this is an almost essential requirement.
Do any of you guys have experience using Active Directory and the Intranet Zone to silent authentication with a local web site? I've done it in the past with 1.1 and 2.0 .NET, but this 3.5 site I have written doesn't seem to be working for some reason.In the past, how I have done it is:
In web.config, set:
<authentication mode="Windows"/>
In IIS 6, under directory security, check Integrated Windows authentication and Digets authentication for Windows domain servers, and set the realm to my domain, and uncheck Enable Anonymous access.The I add the Host Header for the site to the corporate Intranet Zone in Internet Explorer under trusted sites using Active Directory.And that's basically it. I've done it on plenty of intranet sites before, but with this 3.5 application I am still being propped to login. Anybody see any steps I missed?
I am very new to Web development, and have been writing some javascript that makes use of WScript.Shell via ActiveX. I am aware that browsers other than IE don't support ActiveX though.
After doing some digging through Google, I have discovered that I may be able to do something similar on all web kit based browsers via NPAPI. I have no idea where to even begin when it comes to this though. Is it possible to do what I am after via NPAPI? If so, where would I begin?
I have some shell scripts on a Windows 2003 server. These scripts process some flat files and upload data to Oracle using sqlldr. Currently I'm using telnet to go into the box and run each of these scripts manually. Is there a way that these scripts can be run from a ASP.Net/Winforms application?

I wanted my local iis running application to connect my database in sql authentication mode rather than windows mode,
but it is showing errors of " Cannot open database "aspnetdb" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'DBUser'. ". i also ublocked port from firewall,and allowed remote connection of mssql from sql manager, enabled TCP/IP and named piped protocols from SQL surface config, and with sql manager i also changed server authentication mode to sql from windows. my datastring is <add connectionString="Data Source=PARTHIV-PCSQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=aspnetdb;User ID=******;Password=******/" name="LocalSqlServer" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />

I was assigned a bug saying that some page elements don't work on IE8 Quirks mode at all, and I need to fix them. The point is that I believe our pages will always be rendered in Standard mode, because we specify DOCTYPE at the beginning of every page (via master page). I'd think it must be some debugging tools changed that during testing.I managed to convice QA to close it as by design, after a brief explanation to her. Now I start to think the question that whether we should have our page work on both Standard and Quirks mode.
have a WebForm with a Form View to insert new items in my database.These items that i will insert also are conected to other many-to-many relations that i also wanna add after my new item is inserted.For Example: With the classic Autors-Books data base (autors with many books each books with many autors), i want a FormView that for defoult enter to the InsertMode where you will add a new Autor with name, age, style, etc...
