I have a div which I am using as a container. In the container I have a hyper link, image and label control. The content is being dynaimcally being created from an access database. I am using a javascript to zoom an image on my asp.net web page. I want to put 2 buttons on it like "Zoom" "Cancel Zoom" and accordingly activate/deactivate the javascript functionality. Right now I have a css class on which the javascript operated to produces the zoom effect. The image is like:
<a id="big" href="source of image" class"classforzoom"> <img id="small" src="some small image on page" /> </a>
So that gives me a series of URLs in the repeater:
[URL]
OK, so with a simple proxy tool someone can replace either of the parameters with some OTHER number to get access to what they shouldn't see.
server-side validation and authentication aside, is there a better method other than passing parameters when trying to create a dynamic URL within a repeater?

I'm loading pdf's into an iframe on my web page by setting the src of the iframe to the path of the pdf document. This works as I'd like for viewing the pdf.
The problem is that some of the pdf's have hyperlinks in them to external websites which, when clicked, load the external website in my iframe.
So my question is: is it possible to catch the pdf's hyperlink click in javascript in the parent browser window, set the target to either top or blank and then redirect the request?
Unfortunately the pdf's are supplied by a third party so I don't have access to change the documents themselves.
As you all know, HyperLink have a navigateURL property and whenever you click on a hyperlink you'll redirect to link destination, it is ok.
So LinkButton in visual cases are same as Hyperlink but it have not a navigateURL property and instead you can redirect user by using Response.Redirect on OnClick event of LinkButton,
the differet between thee mehods are that HyperLink has the ability to open the destinatio URL on a new browser tab or a new page, but linkButton just redirect user in current open window.
you can open a window by window.opn with javascript butall I need is use a HyperLink that generate his destination URL by a composition of user selected Items ( this is not possible with hyper link but is available with LinkButton)
If the width or the height inside of the panel is exceeded the content of the panel is not shown. Everything works fine in IE8. I have tried this code as well and the same problem occurs:

Got some small(Basic) doubt on update panel. Using Update Panel, Is it possible to stop updating a part of Page? The problem is, I have a very small portion of page, in which I'm updating some data using JavaScript, Which I want to retain(in ASP language Maintain State) for any post back that will occur in Page. I thought placing update panel will solve the purpose, But as per Update panel principle, It will updates only that part of page based on the Triggers conditions. I want it exactly in reverse way (It is very difficult for me to place Update panel for the entire page excluding the small part).
I have to update a gridview inside an updatepanel in a button click. The thing is i'm having gridview in contentpage.I have placed scriptmanager in masterpage.when i clicked on the button to trigger the updatepanel,no update is happening in gridview. Moreover, after placing updatepanel control in contentpage,i saw a redcurvedline (which is an error basically) below the updatepanel control's text which is showing an error as "Element 'updatepanel' is not known element. This can occur if there is a compilation error in the website" in .aspx page's source view.I have attached the screen shot here of that page here for your reference.
