Web Forms :: Added Gridview Column Went Missing After Button Click?

I am trying to add an additional column on the gridview. Everything work fine. The problem is, when i add a new button on the page where the gridview exists and hit the button. The added column in gridview went missing. The button do not have any code behind associated with it and I am using VS2008. Anyone know what have cause this and how to solve this problem? I need the added column to be there even user click on the button.
I have 5 gridviews, all of of them have a Checkbox template field. I already did SUM of a specific column in the gridviews and displayed the Total in the gridview footers.
There is a submit button on the page as well.(this is not in a template column in the gridview)
what i do is select some rows in the gridviews by ticking the checkbox. Then I click on the submit button and the values change in the database and page refreshes with the new Total in the gridview footers. Any row that was ticked. the checkbox for that row in the gridview gets disabled. so cannot change the value again.
Now i want a way to show a popup with a SUM of those rows that are ticked recently and the SUM of already ticked and disabled rows before the values change for the ticked rows in the gridview when the submit button is clicked.
I have a dropdown on page, a place holder and a save button on my form.Now, I am creating a textbox on selectedIndexChanged event of dropdown list and adding it to placeholder. And on button click I want to access the control, but on click event, I find the textbox as null. Here is my code
I've an UpdatePanel where according to operations inside of this UP is filled. I've add some buttons but the buttons to not fire clicks. I've used the code

I have a gridview that on it's RowDataBound event I dynamically add Image Controls to some columns.
The problem is that I lose these images on the next PostBack.
OBS: The GridView's EnableViewState propertie is already set to true
I know about the page lifecycle, but how can I persist these images if I have to add them on the RowDataBound event?
In addittion, if I add a static TemplateColumn with an Image Control and I set it's ImageUrl propertie inside the RowDataBound event it will obviously persist between postbacks. The problem is that I don't know how many columns with images I'll have, it's defined on the datasource.
I understand that MVC can be added to an existing ASP.Net Webforms Web Site Project as explained in this post.
I am wondering if any expert here could tell us what MVC related functions of VS2010 would be missing in this scenario. For example, the very useful shortcuts of "Add View..." and "Go To View" seem to be missing. keep in mind this is about aWeb site project not Web application project so no project file (i.e. .csproj) is involved.
I am using a web form in vs2010 and in my form am having a gridview with button on footer. I have written the code to create a new row while click the button. If I click the button i got the following error

how to implement Insert feature to a grid view?I need to use fields with scroll bar inside of a grid view. Is that possible through the template field?

I have a page with a TextBox, a Button, a GridView, and a SqlDataSource. I click the Button to execute the SQL in the TextBox using the SqlDataSource. The SqlDataSource populates the GridView. Everything works as expected until I click a column heading to sort.
When I click a column heading, the GridView disappears and I have to click the Button to display the grid again. When I do, the grid is displayed in the order of the column I clicked.
I don't understand why the GridView is disappearing when I click a column header.
Does anyone know how to fix this so the GridView is sorted and displayed only by clicking the column header?
i have a GridView in my page that is associated with the database table "Blogs", GridView is showing all the table data correctly, i have added a link button column in the GridView, which is not defined or constructed in the Database table... I want that when i click on the button against a row in the button column of the GridView, the B_Id column cell value is passed to the other page, and control goes to the other page.
I have several grid views indide div's, and when I click the Sort header on an open div the div collapses and no sort happens. I believe it is just reloading the entire page but when I surround PageLoad with !ISPostBack then the page redraws as blank. Since the sort script is generated by the GV, I don't know how to stop it from creating side effects.

Inside an UpdatePanel a Gridview will be filled with data (AutoGenerateColumns=true). The data will be different each time (coming from different database tables) - if the corresonding DataTable contains a specific column (identified by name) I know that the datatype is "Xml". In this case I don't want to show the content, I want to add a button instead. And if the user clicks this button a new browser window should be opened to show the xml-data.
Therefore in the "RowDataBound"-event I added a button to the corresponding Tablecell. This works but I don't get the click-event of this button (I get also no "RowCommand"-event when working with command name). It only "refreshes" the UpdatePanel I guess (because instead of the button, after the click I get the original xml-data in the TableCell because "RowDataBound" will not be fired).
What I need is the following:
- AutogenerateColumns= true
- Adding in a specific column a button instead of the xml-text
- An event, where I can identify which row was sender of the click so that I can show the xml-data in a seprate browser window.

If the grid column is clicked to sort i dont want to retireve data agian, i can get it from viewstate, but i dont know if that triggered the post back or if the ImageButton on the page triggered it
