In page load event, some code is being processed for displaying a report which takes 1/2 minutes to display on the aspx page, meanwhile the aspx is being empty and nothing is displyed, this is not so userfriendly. So, I want to show an image indicating page is being processed. I tried searching in google and found some code samples but couldnt achieve my target. How to implement this. Requirement is nothing but: Display an image/progress bar until the report is processed.

I have a usercontrolthat has to do a lot of DB calls which can take a few seconds making the page slow to load. Ideally I'd like the main page to load straight away and then the usercontrol content appear when it is ready.
I am showing images of members on my website. The images are already saved to file. I want to add some text to the image that is loaded in the image control. I don't want to save it to file, just display the change on that web page. I have seen code on how to do this but I do not see how to load it into an image control. Is this possible without saving it to file?
View 2 RepliesI am working on a website, using C# with a SQL backend. I'm using the Varbinary data type to store my images because the Image data type is eventually going away. I got the images into the DB and can pull them back out to display on the website. My question is how can I put the images from the DB into an Image control on the website? The images will be different sizes, so I need to keep them confined in one space on the site. I also need to randomly display the images, one at a time, on the website. The user needs to be able to hit the Next button to see the next image when they are ready. The user will only view the images, not make any changes and send data back to the DB.
Since the image will be confined within the image control, how can I allow the user to click on the image and open in a new window? The image needs to be bigger to allow the user to see more detail. Or would it be easier to allow the user to zoom in on the image within the current window?I am using VWD Express, C# 2010 Express & SQL 2005 Express.
I have image tag in datalist that width=100px Hight=100px
And I have several image in my database with different size
img1=100*100 img2=500*600 img3=150*140 and ...
Now when I bind my image tag from database it show all my image but it stretch all image.
E.g.: if my image be 300*500 when it show in image tag it stretch my image from width .
I want if my image size be reduceو it reduce width&Hight deppending to real size of image don't stretch it.

to hide a div which indicates the image is not loaded yet,but it hides before the image has finished loading and is shown, while the browser is giving me a message that the page is still transferring data from the server :S
Is there another function I can use to make sure that the image is fully loaded?
where external files / images are being loaded from. By this I mean that I'm aware that external JS files / Images are cached on the first load of a page. What I'd like to have is a tool that confirms to me that on subsequent requests these files are in fact being loaded from the users cache rather than downloading the file again.
View 3 RepliesI'm a newbie to Asp.net,learning from the Apress's Begining Asp.net...book.While very curious to see an image given by me on the browser,I'm stuck at the very first step,Configuration : Win7(32-bit),VS2008 Pro/.net 3.5,Firefox as default browser.Now,In created a simple website(not web app) in C#,added three images(.png,.jpg,.gif) to the App_Data folder(using the solutn. explorer of course).Then added the Image control from the toolbox & in the ImageUrl property, selected one of the images->presses f5 to start in debugging mode but every time the browser displays the alternate text given by me.
View 2 RepliesI'm loading a web page into an iframe. As the web I'm trying to load have some heavy stuff it takes a while to load. As it's not my page I cannot change the HTML code neither the codebehind, so I want to put a progress bar while loading the web into the iframe and stop when it finishes loading. I'm doing it through javascript and I tried to trigger it in every load/unload event of the webs codebehind with bad results. Finally, I tried to trigger it in the body's onload event. It seemed to work, but the progress bar dissapears a couple seconds before the web is fully loaded into the iframe.
Its possible to know when the web has finished loading the iframe or when the web page which is loading in the iframe has finnished loading?
