Dynamic image button does not work
I am having an odd situation with a dynamic image button. This button is part of a dynamically built asp table which lives in a repeater. Not sure if that complicates things or not, but here's the issue. Since the buttons are dynamically built, if I let asp.net handle the ids I get a crash on postback. Not entirely sure why, but If I set the id in code, I don't get the duplicate id error but I don't get the event fired either. Here is the code building the button:
[Code]....
With this code the IB_Validate_Click never fires. If I comment out the IB_Validate.ID line, the event fires. But, as mentioned above, I have an id clash on a postback. Any ideas why the IB_Validate_Click doesn't fire on this button if the id is set?
in my page_load method I call a mthod that it create some dynamic controls. one of them is an Image control that it's ImageURL property set to an URL that is saved in data base. image shows that URL but when postback ocuurs, previous image controls doesn't their image. but other controls for example TextBoxes keep text values. what should I do for keep image url property for this dynamic Images controls?
View 3 RepliesI'm also trying to implement a custom button on the toolbar, and have it working, sort of. I took the sample code and modified it so I only insert one button, to insert an image from a list in a database. I renamed the class from the original to CustomHTMLEditor and removed a few of the properties and methods I won't be needing. All this works 99%. The control is shown in the design and in my web page and the inserting of the image all works 100%, but there is an error in the designer : Unknown server tag 'customEditors:CustomHTMLEditor'.
Because of this, I cannot reference the control in code at all and thus not get the Content when the page is posted back.
Here are my two files in the App_Code folder:
From HTMLEditor.Samples.cs:
[Code]....
From HTMLEditor.CustomButtonsAndPopups.cs
[Code]....
I have page
Page contains an accordion control and tab container controls
On grid RowDataBound based on some condition i've added imagebutton dynamically. parallelly i want to add event for this button click. here is my code snippet.
protected void GV3_RowDataBound(object sender, GridViewRowEventArgs e)
{
if (e.Row.RowType == DataControlRowType.DataRow)
{
TableCell cell = new TableCell();
ImageButton bttn = new ImageButton();
[Code]...
That message popup box comes, but i'm unable to catch that click event. while click on a row i want to delete that row, so want to create event dynamically. for that i've used this following dynamic click event
bttn.Click += new ImageClickEventHandler(b_Click);
private void b_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
//delete record
}
but this above code also not working.
I have a text box in which I want only digits (either decimal or whole numbers). I have applied Required Field Validator and Regular Expression Validator on it.I have an Image Button, by clicking on which, I want this validation to be performed. But when I build the code, and clicks on Image Button, these validators do not work and I am redirected to the server side method of Image Button and after completing the execution of server side method, control comes to these validators and client side validation executes.I am fed up by finding solutions on Google and unable to find any solution.Please tell me of anyone of you know the solution that why server side code is running first and client side validation is executing after server side code execution.

I have a problem about image control. I am using VS2005 in Vista and suddenly uploading and retrieving image to a image control doest not work. I am working with this in Windows XP and all goes fine. After transfering it to vista, I can't upload and retrieve an image stored in the File System. My codes are all the same.
View 19 RepliesI'm no expert with Image controls, or dynamically adding anything, but I seem to have some problem when dynamically adding image controls
When the page loads the images are "there", but they don't actually show an image...just an image "box" I guess you could call it. It's not the "broken" image or "invalid" image display, but a friendlier one that doesn't make sense to me why it's there.
I look at the page's source and literally everything's fine, but I'm not sure what's going wrong. I can show you my code, and hopefully someone will point out the dumb thing I'm doing wrong:
[Code]....
[Code]....
So, it takes all the .JPG files in the folder "Pictures" of my project's folder and creates an Image control to be put into Panel1 with the ImageURL as its filename (with Directory Path) and even set the ID to its filename (so no duplicate IDs). Again, the source is exactly how it should be, but no image is shown.

Just wondering if anyone has ever managed to find a way to have a datagridview image button column in a template field which display different images on different rows depending on some data element in the row. Our application needs to display a series of fees charged against an account column which will be either less then 500, 500 to 1000 or >1000. Some of those fees are charged at a full rate, others at a partial rate, and some are not charged at all. The user would like to see a simple 3-state graphic which would convey the simple info: full-charge, partial-charge, or no-charge. Sounds easy enough but I've not yet managed to find a way to do this. Every time I attempt to modify the individual cell's graphic it seems to want to change the graphic for all the rows.

I have a project where I need to create menu buttons from a list in SQL Server. The problem I am having is that I need to add code to the text of those buttons. So there would be a birthday button and it should display the number of birthdays within the next two weeks or a button with the number of upcoming events.
Clarification:
There is no code yet, just some requirements. What I am doing is querying a table to get the list of buttons to display. Now each of these buttons may have dynamic text, for things like count of birthdays, events,etc... I am trying to see what the best way would be to handle this. Should I embed a snippet of code to go along with the menu item to execute when I iterate over the menu items? Maybe I should build a javascript file to go along with the code, which I add code to query a service for certain menu items?
Asp.net gridview dynamic change pagesize not work on the last page.
I have added one dropdownlist in the pager of gridview and add event of selectedIndexChanged with the DropDownList.
Changing pagesize is working except the last page
We can have a look at this link:

I have four Imagebuttons that I want to disable depending on the Role the user belongs too. I know how do do this in a gridview or detailsview but for some reason it isn't working on just a plain form. So when a User who is not in the "Admin" role logs onto the page he either doesn't see the button or the hyperlink has been disabled thus not allowing him to proceed any further.

View 2 RepliesI am making a page which will have to display the image of the user. Can I use the Image control to display dynamic images based on the user. Just like in gridview imagefield, we can have a different image in the columns but is it possible for the image control?.
I checked the properties of the controll and I think all I can use is the "ImageUrl" property which selects a fixed image.

View 1 RepliesIs there a way to make an image button look like a toggle button? I want it to specify the image for checked and unchecked state. Either that, even if it doesn't look like a button, I'd still want to use custom images instead of the standard dot inside a hole.
