I m getting Problem in Tab Index Setting of Dynamic Created Controls. There are 6 Drop down dynamic created and also Two user controls which contains text boxes. There are also Static Controls on a Page. How i set tab index for all controls. I have try to give from code behind using TabIndex property But it's not working and Tab order get destory.

using vb.net/asp.net 2005 and SQL Server 2005.I had similar issue yesterday: I created a unique index on a table to prevent duplicates when user tries to edit existing records in a gridview.This works fine and I am seeing the "cannot insert duplicate key row message...." however I need to catch the exception because I do not want to display the table and column names.I have this set up but its not catching the exception, the exception is displaying but not my version, does anyone know in what gridview event and how I can catch and customize this exception? what i have now (but not working ) is:

I've added the Dynamic.cs file to my project and have set it's Build Action = Compile in order to get the System.Linq.Dynamic namespace.

View 1 Repliesi've dynamically created new rows on button click in gridview with 3  dropdownlist.for the first default row the selectindexchanged is firing and on pageload 1st ddl is loading with values and basing on selection the second ddl is showing values and third ddl is showing basing on second ddl. Now, when i click add new row, a new row is created with 3 ddl's ...1st one is showing properly but when i select from that ddl ,it should show data accordingly but its not showing particular data but showing all realted  data from DB.same for 3rd ddl.
Also when new row is added and the first ddl is selected on postback the second ddl data is refreshing..

What i need is i need to bind last 10 Order in Gridview/details view with paging, and the same order detail also fetch from database and shown in another gridview.. if user click any oderNo in first Gridview/DetailView then i need to show Respective order detail in anther gridview..
without postback coz we already fetch 10 order with orderdetails from the database..and if user click next 10 orderNo using paging then again we need to load 10 orderNo with respective orderdeatils from database like this going on....as well as let me know how to take print of particular oder and order detail....?
While generating dynamic controls like , textboxes, dropdownlist, checkboxes and radiobuttons, after filling the textboxes and etc and submit and then postback occurs, the dynamic created controls missing. I try to find a way to make the controls persist for validation checking. Tried to use Viewstate to store the pnlTextBoxes and etc, but it has serializable error.

I'm using the following code to pick up the UserID of newly created users in a page containing a CreateUserWizard. Should work because it's at the end of the _CreatedUser event, but the UserName comes up Nothing. Anyone know what the problem might be? I know the user is being created because the "success" message is displayed and it writes to the database.

The first and third view are simple now.The second view contains a user control AgreementDetailUC, which dynamically loads many other user controls onto several dynamically created tabs, as show below

When <Next> and <Previous> button is clicked, it take several seconds to show the second view. Page_Init is run very fast, it seems the time is spent on rendering the page.
My questions are:
1. How can the performance be improved?
2. How to change the cursor to hour glass when a button is clicked and change it back when the new view is shown (I can set it to hour glass when a button is clicked, but don't know how to set it back to normal).
I have a self-made webuser control named UCLabeltextBox with 1 label and 1 textbox. When pressing the save button the page is refreshed and the value of the textbox is erased. Anyone a solution to this? Here's my code:

I have a set of dinamically created User Controls on the page. They are pretty small 170X120 px in size, but when the page is displayed, they are all one under the other. All styling is default, which means they should be positioned in normal flow. Is there any way to place them next to each other. This is not a problem when I dinamically create for standard controls, like a button or an image. Why the user control is different. This is the markup behind the control:

I dynamically build up a table of dates/hours worked by a user.
Last row, for each date (column) contains a little user control where the user can enter some text.
The user control work with some jQuery/UI and I will end up with each control have a date and reason set in hidden controls.
How do I get hold of these controls only when the user click a button in the code-behind? (silly question I know, but I'm not used to how webforms does its' thing)
I have what is probably a basic question but I do not understand if/why there is a difference. I have a simple asp.net page with a staticly created DropDownList and Panel control. The user can select one of three options if the drop down (Employee, Company, Address) which should load the respective custom UserControl into the panel below. By default, I have the Employee control selected in the drop down and it should be displayed on the intial Page Load (!Page.IsPostBack).
If I do the following it performs the desired behavior on the intial load:

I assume there is some sort of behavioral difference in the way the loading is done between a UserControl and WebControl.
I am dynamically loading user controls into my main page on button event.The user control has a textbox and a gridview When i enter data in textbox , the autopostback event fires and loads data into the gridview. when i load another instance of user control and do any post back the gridview data is not persisting.Until and unless I bind the data, gridview is not having any data after postback.This is creating issue when I al updating a row in gridview as data is not persisting after postback.

View 1 RepliesI am in need of some assistance in regards to how to best set the values of properties for a Web User Control which is being included into a cell of a GridView with dynamically created columns. I have tried a few different approaches, but can't seem to get a satisfactory result. Also, to be completely honest, I am not really sure if I am using best practices for what I am trying to accomplish.
First off a little background:I have a GridView for which we will never know the exact number of columns at run time. The columns are predicated by user selection. I am creating the command text for the DataSet on the fly and then looping through the columns of the resulting DataTable in order to use custom TemplateFields. This works ok for just printing out the row values but not so much for when I need to insert the Web User Control into a cell.The Web User Control is in essence a collection of image links which are used as a "Quick Nav" tool. I need to pass the values of 2 fields from each DataRow to the control via properties (for example, CustID and ProductID). I am using custom TemplateField classes inheriting from ITemplate for displaying my fields and extending the DataBinding event like so: [Code]....
This won't work for my User Control as DataBinding is called after the control is loaded into the page and I need the properties to be set before the Page_Load event of the control is fired.Is there a GridView event I should be looking into instead such as RowCreated or RowDataBound? Or should I modify how I loop through the DataTable by doing rows first, then the resulting columns as I've seen done elsewhere?
I am successfully including a javascript resource by calling ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptResource at the end of OnPreRender in my custom control. However, the resulting script tag is being included before the automatically included script tags that define things like Type and Sys which my script depends on. I thought they were defined in the order that they are included but I can't include my script any later then I am. How can I control the order in which the script tags are included?

cannot update tree node when update the forms. so i reload tree view.
