A friend of mine pointed out that all your C# code used in a website should be put in the aspx.cs file included with the aspx file. But now I just can't seem to run a function that is stored in the aspx.cs file.
For example, I have master page MyMasterPage.aspx and content page MyDefault.aspx. I have many UpdatePanels at MyMaterPage.aspx, and also I have many UpdatePanels at MyDefault.aspx.
[code]....
I want JavaScript functionClickMenu(this) at input button [id="ButtonMaster1" @ MyMasterPage.aspx] pass its value ["Menu-1"] into text box [id="TextBoxDefault1" @ MyDefault.aspx], and then performing update / doing post-back to server ONLY FOR UpdatePanelDefault1.
I am looking forward an example code for JavaScript functionClickMenu(this).
This is such a simple thing but i can't figure it out.
I have this code: (just a section)
[Code].... [Code]....
Here is the code behind: [Code]....
I can get it to work if i completely paste the code in there, but this is such a pain. I just dont quite understand OOP. What do i have to write to call that code from another aspx page?[Code]....
how can i call javascript function from code behind from my Page.aspx.vb. in my Page i have a button i want to add this function to my button onclick="refreshParent();"
I have been trying to call a vb.net function in aspx page how can i do that?. I have done it in C# by
<td><#%GetItemIndex(Container.ItemIndex)%></td> its working fine in C# but in vb.net it says GetItemIndex not declared.
and trying to convert (rptpages is a repeater)
rptpages.Itemcommand += New RepeaterCommandEventHandler( rptpages_ItemCommand1) from C# to VB.net but i dont see itemcommand property in VB.net for the repeater.
I have some ajax fucntions on my default.aspx that I use for saving data to my db. I have the form on my web control. When I try calling the function from my button which resides on the web control. I get an error.
I need to call that function from my registerform.ascx. How do I do that from within the registerform code behind?
I have an ASPX web site and I have code in there to redirect from the login page with the call to
"FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage(username, false);" This sends the user from the root website folder to 'website/Admin/'. I have a 'default.aspx' page in 'website/Admin/' and the call to redirect works on a previous version of the website we have running currently, but the one that I am updating on a separate test server is not working. It gives me the error "Directory Listing Denied. This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed." I have this in the config file: <authorization> <allow users="*" /> </authorization>
for the location of Admin. Also, there is no difference in the code between the web.config, Login.aspx, or the default.aspx files on the current server and the one on the test server, so I am confused as to why the redirect will not work on both. It even works in the Visual Studio server environment, for which the code is also identical.
In a.aspx i have a textbox with ID="Textbox1".In b.aspx, i have a label with ID="Label1"I want when i open b.aspx, Label1.text = Textbox1.Text..but when i write in b.aspx Page_Load function, intellisense don't know Textbox1.
i have the following function in default.aspx.....i have webusercontrol which have 10 checkboxes and 1 button .... i want when i click on button1 of user control then it can access the function of default.aspx ...page ...if i dragged the usercontrol to default.aspx
Normally if i use 10 checkboxes and 1 button in default.aspx then it works fine ... if i use 10checkboxes and 1button in usercontrol then drag that usercontrol in default.aspx then it will not work ..
I have created and application which contains a gridview that is populated by an SQL database. I built a function which converts the gridview into an excel file and stores it on the server.
I would just like to know how I can write an executable script(which I will set to run at a certain time on the server) that will access the gridview in the .aspx file containing the gridview and run the convertToExcel() function located in the .cs file attached to the .aspx file and then close.
I have more than one user control and those user controls have extenders of the ajaxcontroltoolkit. The problem is that each one has a javascript that writes "function PageLoad"... and as I have more than one user control in the same aspx, more than one of those javascript functions is written in the output. Is there anyway to combine all of them in just one function? (bear in mind that the javascript code is written within the user control and the user control doesn't know anything about what other control are in the container aspx). If I have more than one function PageLoad they will not work then, right?
I have aspx page and in that page i registerd ascx page. i want to access the aspx page <div id = "idofdiv"> from ascx page jquery function. i have jquery function in ascx page. i want to access idofdiv in that function.
I have this import function which can be changed by the client in his desired way.Now I want to code such that if the client tries to import his own data on the page and doesnot give the tags in the order mentioned below his import function should be stopped.
It shouldn't make any changes unless the tags are in the right format because the problem now is if the tags are not in the right format when client changes then its importing over the existing files and directing to an error page which I dont want it should simply stop the import function if they are nt in the order.the code for this function is below
I want to know how can I load my files (file1.aspx and file1.aspx.vb) in a container on my index.aspx. My index should have my menu and my container. My problem is that i don't know how do that... options wich i tried:
Iframes: yes work it... but in html 5 iframe will dissapear...
MasterPage: isn't the solution because this refresh all index page.
Ajax: yes.. charge my File1.aspx in the container but i can't call the functions of File1.aspx.vb...
I need to create something which is like an Add friend function in my website which works like this:
1) User types in name of the person he wants to search in the search field and clicks enter
2) on the same page, the search result will come out with an "add friend" button beside every name
3) when the user clicks the "add friend" button, he will be brought to another page (or pop up with a message box?) with a text message field to send to the friend, and a submit button to submit the friend request.
4) over at the Friend's page, he will be able to view the add friend request and decide whether to accept or deny the friend request.
