Obviously with .replace I get [URL] 3 2 1 > 1 and so on... I am thinking of contructing a two dimensional Array where myArray[0][0] will be the first match like myArray[URL][0] the second element the second match. myArray[URL][1] and so on. So then I would iterate through the second dimension of the array. Will this work? I am thinking that it won't...
I have a table being brought in using HttpWebRequest (screen scraping). The table I grab is formatting properly but I have noticed a situation. This table has a URL which refers to a physical web page. What I would like to do is to take that URL using a .Replace clause and thereby change the URL to reflect <a href="details.aspx?id=111"> as opposed to <a href="111.htm">. So I went ahead and tried doing it this way but it doesn't do any replacement.
[Code]....
I figured using the regex expression it would find it and then I could just reuse it.
I have a php function, preg match which i need to convert into c#..It has a regular expression "/\s+/"....
Its supposed to match the whole string including newline..and in PHP i am getting the whole string...I want to get the result of the whole string match in C#...i have used Regex.match method...But it returns me a blank array..Suppose the string = "title"....Why am i not getting the correct match..?
I have a string of information that I need to parse. I've written a regular expression to find the information I need. Now how would I iterate through each regex match and add it to a list (or do something to it)?
I have a webform (for posting ads) that has an AJAX HTML Editor (for ad description) and AJAX fileupload control to upload & display some images. If I don't upload any images (no postback is done) then the html editor will display the international characters correctly and the ad is then stored correctly.
As soon as I upload an image for display (and postback is automatically done), then the html editor will replace all the international characters with unrecognized characters. And the ad will be stored with those incorrect characters.
Is there any way I can avoid this? I'm still not exactly sure why the html editor automatically replaces all my characters when postback is done.Or is there another html editor that manages this better?
I am trying create a Regex-based replacement for an article to automatically convert embedded references (many of them) in posts into the appropriate link and title format.
For example, given this:
I have already blogged about this topic ((MY TOPIC ID: "2324" "a number of times")) before. And I have also covered ((MY TOPIC ID: "777" "similar topics")) in the past.
... I want to get this:
I have already blogged about this topic <a href='/post/2324'>a number of times</a> before. And I have also covered <a href='/post/777'>similar topics</a> in the past.
I currently have this:
/* Does not work */ public static string ReplaceArticleTextWithProductLinks(string input) { string pattern = "\(\(MY TOPIC ID: \".*?\" \".*?\"\)\)"; string replacement = "<a href='/post/$1'>$2</a>"; return Regex.Replace(input, pattern, replacement); }
But it seems to return lines that contain <a href='/post/'></a> without appending matches instead of $1 and $2.
Question: What is the easiest way to do convert the string #1 above to string #2 above?
What I am trying to figure out is how to use a custom delimiter, single character or set of characters, to wrap a block of text inside a larger body of text and then pull that text out via regex. I have successfully done this with a single instance of wrapped text. If I have multiple instances, it blows up. Here is an example.
This would be my text block with the internally wrapped text:
[Code]....
When my current regex runs on this block, the greedy nature gives me a match starting with my first wrapped block delimeter and ending with my second wrapped block end delimeter. So my regex of @"#Delim(.*)#EndDelim" doesn't work in this instance. I am trying to figure out how to exclude the #EndDelim from my grouping. Simply using ([^#EndDelim]*) doesn't work as it tells regex to ignore the individual characters inside the brackets and not the actual word so this breaks if I have any of those characters inside my wrapped block of text.
I am probably making this harder than it needs to be. Does anyone know of a good solution or how to ignore entire words in regex?
I wanted to stop multiple login of the same user. So, I created a table which keeps track of users who have logged in. When they log in, the data will be entered in the table. When they click on logout, data and session will be removed. The problem is, when they close the browser window without logging out, they won't be able to login ever again.

I created an asp.net Server control that derives from a LinkButton, and renders a small javascript function to the page. I want to use this control many times on the page, but just want the javascript to be rendered once on the page. On the other hand, I rather not manually add it in a js file, because i don't want to have a chance of forgetting to add the js file in the future.
I wonder how is it possible to manage transaction in c# code.. I have to do multiple insertion of same object with unique storedprocedure. So I have to launch the same stored procedure with same parameters multiple times.
But if a problem appear in the process (lost connection,...) I don't want just a part of insertions done and the rest failed, I want all the insertion cancelled. So I would like a SQLtransaction but within the application code because a can't change database.
I have a music related ASP.NET web site which caches a lot of static information from the database on the first request.Sometimes, the application is reset and cache is cleared while the application is on heavy load and then all http requests go to the database to retrieve that static data and cache it for other requests.
How can I ensure that only one request go to the database and cache the results, so that other request simply read that info from cache and not needlessly retrieve the same info over and over again. Can I use thread locking? For example, can I do something like lock(this) { db access here }?
I'm having a little trouble with using regex in linq. I want to be able to perform a search on values in my database. The goal is to insert a value into the regex and then use that to search a column in a table in my database for that term. I want it to work so that it gets all exact matches and also returns matches in which the search term is a substring of the term in the column.
I was trying to follow this tutorial on msdn, but it doesn't quite fit perfectly with my problem:
I am collecting information and sending an email confirmation on form-submit. I want to find any instances of SSNs in the body of the email and replace the beginning digits with "X". I'm trying to use a regex to find/replace:
what i am trying to achieve is that. when any of the links is clicked. the <a href> tags are replaced by <span> tags. Is this possible? i tried playing aroung with HtmlGenericControl class but i could not solve it.
My question is about an approach, and I am looking for tips or links to help me develop a solution. I have an .NET 4.0 web forms application that works with Forms authentication using the aspnetdb SQL database of users and passwords. A new feature for the application is a new authentication mechanism using single sign on to allow access for thousands of new users. Essentially, when the user logs in through the new single-sign-on method, I will be able to identify them as legitimate users with a role I will have something like HttpContext.Current.Session["email_of_authenticated_user"] (their identity) and HttpContext.Current.Session["role_of_authenticated_user"] (their role).
