Jan 26, 2010I want to integrate paypal inside my shopping cart. For that it requires a html form to be embeded inside .aspx page with the action to paypal and method is post. Inside that form there are some hidden input filed. I want to assign one of those hidden field's value from server side code so i need to access that filed from server side. But how? Here is my form:

C# - Unable To Create A Multiple Row Table From Server Side Code?
Feb 22, 2010I am trying to create a table dynamically in my code behind. My problem is I have a count of how many controls I want added to each TableRow after which I want to add that TableRow to the table and then start a new row. Here is the code I have no far but it just adds one row and does not move any of the controls to a seperate new row.

I would have thought that doing the .Add only when I am finished building that row would work but I guess since I'm using the same TableRow "tr" It is only putting in just one row.

MVC :: Html.TextArea - Extra Line Break In The TextArea, Just Above The Original Text?
Jul 15, 2010I'm working with an MVC1.0 web app and I've found a bit of an odd anomaly.
I have a search box on the first page (normal text box) and the input from this is passed through to the ViewData and on to the second page.
On the second page, I render a TextArea with this search input text from the ViewData.
Eg:

The problem is, there is an extra line break in the TextArea, just above the original text.
Stranger still is that if I now submit this page and the view is reloaded (after validation fails) - the original string of text has been trimmed and has no line breaks, but the TextArea now has 2 line breaks above the original text.
This can be repeated - every time the page reloads it has another line break.
It's driving me insane - does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?
FYI, you can check it out yourself - on your mobile phone, browse to [URL], punch something in the search box and hit search. You'll notice one line break added the first time the page loads. Then just hit "Find Best Offer" without entering a budget or selecting a category, and you'll see what I mean about the additional line breaks.

Mar 1, 2010While working through some demos today I managed to trick VS 2008 somehow and I cannot access any server side events or variables in the code editor window. Hopefully
this screenshot will demonstrate exactly what I am missing. No matter what control I pick from my source I get the same drop down items overhead. What is quite weird is that when I drop new server side controls onto the source editor I can set the tag attributes for the events, but when I double click that event there is not an automatic created event handler with the same name created for me. Also, on the property pages there is no events image button (the one with the lightning bolt). The only property page items which have the events image button (lightning bolt) are the ajax toolkit controls. Already tried the "import all settings - VB Default" to blast away everything and no luck..

Nov 9, 2010I have a Web Site project running on VD2008, with an Access back end and .NET 3.5, C#.
I have created the project several times and added the usual App_Code, Pages, App_Data, Properties, folders. I created a Master Page and several content pages BUT I am unable to get to the folders or root where there is a Class (code) file.
I have tried all the usual lines...
using SumaCard.App_Code
OR
SumaCard.App_Code.FTP_Code ftpc = new SumaCard.App_Code.FTP_Code();
but nothing works? I have been hasseling over this for 2 days now.

First Invoke Server Side Code Then Client Side Script Without Using AJAX?
May 18, 2010in a form i have a buttoin, when click both OnclientClick and postback should happen. on clicking the "Email" button a client side "mailto" tag should do the work and pull a new message window on the client's machine.
whereas, the email addresses should be invoked by the post back. so , when clicking the button the server side post should happen and on return the client side script should be invokded with the values read during post back, and populate all the email addresses.
i need know how to first do a server hit take the values and then execute the client script with those values without using AJAX

Wherever I try to put the breakpoint, I am getting the message: "This is not a valid location to put the breakpoint". I have the js intellisense working fine. I also unchecked the two "Disable Debugging" checkboxes on IE. Due to this problem, I am unable to debug the js in VS 2008.
