Web Forms :: Access Html Hidden Input Field Embedded From Server Side Code?
Jan 26, 2010
I want to integrate paypal inside my shopping cart. For that it requires a html form to be embeded inside .aspx page with the action to paypal and method is post. Inside that form there are some hidden input filed. I want to assign one of those hidden field's value from server side code so i need to access that filed from server side. But how? Here is my form:
I am facing one asp.net server side issue using vb.net the problem is i declared one html input hidden field in my page, the name is hidden1. but when i going to call that name into server side code, that time i got the below error, <b>Name "Hidden1" is not declared</b> Code below:
I am calling a Java-script function, in that i am passing the value of hidden field, that hidden field i want to use at server-side, but the value of hidden field is null.
Client Side function
function getDetails() { document.forms[0].HdnNode.value=tree_selected_id; //HTML Hidden Field. str="Cmp_12"; str_array=str.split("_"); var str_array1=str_array[0]; var str_array2=str_array[1]; document.getElementById("<%=HiddenNodeId.ClientId %>").value=str_array1; document.getElementById("<%=HiddenTreeId.ClientId %>").value=str_array2; }
Server Side Function
Public Sub InsertNodes(ByVal NodeId As String) Dim objErrorObj As New ErrorObj Dim ParentID As String ParentID = HiddenNodeParent.Value NodeId = HiddenNodeId.Value Dim NodeIDTree As String NodeIDTree = HiddenTreeId.Value End Sub
Is it possible to either access the properties, such as 'url', of a embedded media player object server side to change them? Or possibly dynamically create a new media player object with a different 'url' each time?
I am trying to change the property based off of a selectedindexchanging event of a gridview object.
i am facing the following problem while saving the viewstate on the server side using the savepagestatetopersistencemedium, but this is not working for the pages which contains update panel.
I am making use of XSLT in showing a XML form. But in XSLT file along with the path of XML, I have a checkbox and a textbox input html control type. My question is how can I access these html control input value in the server page?
I am using the <input type="file" /> tag to upload a file to the server. How do I access the file at the server side and store it at the server? (The file is an image file)The client side code is :
In my web page I have a Checkbox (datatype = tinyint/boolean) and 2 Required field validator (whose visibility is false). I want that when I check(tick) the checkbox, then required field validator visible = true, else not.For this I tried this code on Page_Load as well as on save button click, but it is not working:
i want make html table in format so i used follwing code but it just print tags(rather than analyze them as html and give appropriate output )
[Code]....
Output got when tried to use TransList.ToString() output got was <html> <head> </head><body><table><tr><td>1</td><td>11/24/2010 12:00:00 AM</td><td>Paypal</td><td>30</td></tr><tr><td>2</td><td>11/24/2010 12:00:00 AM</td><td>Paypal</td><td>300</td></tr><tr><td>3</td><td>12/10/2010 12:00:00 AM</td><td>Paypal</td><td>240</td></tr></table></body></html>
I've got two textboxes running server side and have their visibility turned off. I'm using a couple of ASP.NET controls which require the textboxes to exist. However, I am filling them from the code behind and would not like the user to see this. Can the user turn the visibility on and see the values entered in the text box? I tried using FireBug, and I couldn't seem to select the visibility option in order to edit it. However, I'm quite new to Firebug, so there may be another way? Or does running it server side mean that the client can't ever view the contents of the textbox?
I have a custom user control which contains a asp hiddenfield object. The value of this hidden field is being set using javascript and I have verified that the value is being set properly. When a postback occurs the new value is not being saved and I cannot access it in my code.
I believe the problem is because the user control is not saved in viewstate and therefore the hidden field value is not saved accross postback. How can I make the hidden field save its value? I tried accessing it from the early page cycles and still no luck.
Was trying to reference this the other day, and I've heard them called several things.They are intrinsically hard to google for. Does this syntax have a proper name?
I am saving "Instruction" in CreateInstruction view. This view has partial view "CreateInstnAttribute" which saves "Attributes" related to this Instruction. It requires the InstnID as foreign key. The Instruction is saved using JQuery to avoid postback. So how can I get the InstnID to save the InstnAttribute? I tried HiddenField to save InstnId but I am not able to receive the value there. Can we use viewdata directly in JQuery?
While working through some demos today I managed to trick VS 2008 somehow and I cannot access any server side events or variables in the code editor window. Hopefully
this screenshot will demonstrate exactly what I am missing. No matter what control I pick from my source I get the same drop down items overhead. What is quite weird is that when I drop new server side controls onto the source editor I can set the tag attributes for the events, but when I double click that event there is not an automatic created event handler with the same name created for me. Also, on the property pages there is no events image button (the one with the lightning bolt). The only property page items which have the events image button (lightning bolt) are the ajax toolkit controls. Already tried the "import all settings - VB Default" to blast away everything and no luck..
