How can you run a page in your site 'silently'? i have 2 pages, front.aspx and back.aspx.When submit front.aspx page, the client will again see front.aspx page after submited, during submitting, i need to run code logic inside back.aspx and update the database, the logic is related to controls only exist in back.aspx, so cannot be moved to a class and be reuse in front.aspx

I want to open a native SharePoint 2010 page from my application (for example the Edit Properties page of a document) without the need to enter username/password, but instead to authenticate silently (prior or during the page request). is that possible?In other words, i have a windows forms application, i enter a sharepoint document path and i click on a button, this will open up a windows form with a browser control that will navigate to the native "editform.aspx" sharepoint 2010 page for this document.

I can't use RegisterStartupScript('window.open...), because Chrome blocks the popup without even informing the userI can't use "onclientclick=window.open(..." in the markup, because I have to invoke code in the button click event handler before opening the popup window.I can't expect every user of the website to add the site as an exception in Google Chrome's popup blocker, since they'll assume it's an error on the website and not with the popup blocker

So as you make your way around the site, the footer will contain content about that page along with other data that is universa on the entire site.I had a somewhat similar question some time back that i posted here..

If Label is in master page, you have to use FindControl to get the Label and udpate its text

once you select another page, you dont have it anymore,If you want to share data across different pages, consider using Session to save Items count.

I have a simple SiteMapPath in my master page like below.

Also I use Web.sitemap and include all static sitemap pages. In my Web.config, I have this:

Currently, many pages uses this static site map for many projects and I'm not supposed to update the master page, but I need to have dynamic site map so that I can add query strings for each navigating pages.

I have a VS 2010 and have created some aspx content pages associated with a master page. I want to call a javascript function right when the page loads but am not able to find an onload client side event for these pages which are using asp:content as there only controls. I know that I can put content in them and I have but how do I call the client side onload event from the main content control?

Ideally I would like a random image to be shown each time a user comes to the site but not on every page.
Is there a way to set the image per the session a users visits the site instead of each page?

The ASP.net 3.5 SiteMapPath Control shows the site map but not necessarily the path thru a site. If a user links from one page to another using a hyperlink, the Site Map does not seem to show the actual path, only the site Map. If this is incorrect, please let me know.If it is correct, do you know of another control that will show the actual path thru the site in a session?

I was simply thinking of createing a master page and making all pages inherit that master page. I would then authenticate the users from the master page.

Now i access a web page from Sample site and from this page i'm sending request to a web page in a site Sample2 with some values through Query String. I got the page and the values from query string.
Now my problem is, instead of sending values through QueryString is there is any other way to pass values from one site to another. Because, i never give the url for the second site to client. They know only the first site url based on user input i'll redirect it to the second site. Problem is user can see the values passed through QueryString and there is a chance to bookmark that link by user, it just like hacking. I donot want the user to do that.
