I have looked at all the "fixes" for this and none of them seem to be working.It works just fine on page load but when I click my async button,One row of the grid processes(I can look in the javascript debug) but after the firstrow is processed,I get the above error at this line.

What I do in this code is convert a BLOB value from a database and store it in a string in a custom object.What seems to be happening is that there are odd characters being put at the end of the string.Here is what I am doing to convert the data

It appears in both FF and IE so far, and only happens on the live servers.
It occurs within partial (or attempted partial as they stop working and don't update) postbacks within an update panel on a form that is on every page. It doesn't always do it, but once it's broken, it's consistent. I have a suspicion that it kicks in after the pages in question have been posted back to by another page, but I'm not 100% about this. This form is absolutely integral to the function of the site.

I have a grid within another grid. In the detail grid I have image button for which I am giving the URL of documents in the source itself. On clicking on Image button, document can be opened for which I am using a Handler. The code for opening the document is written in the handler.This code is as below:

according to the developer of the web service I am calling.He said "bump up the default values for the following":

Where can I put these to bump them up? I've tried googling these settings, and I get sections of web.config that I don't have. I don't have a WCF client, either. Does this make sense to do from my web service, developed in VS 2010?
I'd like to just call his service without changing anything, get the error, and then go from there. I'm even getting that far because I got some other exception saying server was unable to process request, but it had nothing to do with exceeding a buffer size.
Is there a way to check if SmtpClient successfully delivered an email? SmtpClient.Send() does not appear to return anything other than an exception. So if the method completes is it safe to assume the email will be successfully sent to the appropriate email box? My code is below:

My app will be making some API calls to a service provider's app. It's all via HTTP calls. If my call succeeds, I will receive a response which will include an HTTP response code as well as some data in the body of the response. Like many organizations, our customer service department receives faxes and process them in many different ways. The faxes come in through a queue. The faxes are presented to the user through a windows interface.The user ties a customer number to the fax and is allowed to split the fax into several different pages if necessary. They then send these different pages to different people in the organization.Currently the windows application that process these faxes uses a product that use to be part of Windows called KODAK.
The hope is that the current windows tool could be converted into a web application that provides the same functionality that the windows application offers. a tool that could be utilized inside an ASP.Net web application that would allow the user to receive a fax and split it like KODAK does? This application needs to be built in-house because of the custom needs of our customers. Something imbedded in the ASP.Net application would work for us.

I am attempting to pass a small xml doc as a string to an affiliate's classic asp page. Here is how I am doing it:

However, when they receive this info the spaces are stripped out of the xml tag causing it to not parse and be invalid. Here is what it looks like when it arrives:

I'm not entirely sure how to explain this, but basically I am trying to use a Silverlight application hosted within an ASP.NET MVC application. I have a basic controller on the MVC side that contains a method which accepts some string parameter and returns an ActionResult (for the purpose of this program, that result is some Json data).
My problem arises when I handle the WebClient.OpenReadCompleted event within the Silverlight control. When the WebClient.OpenReadAsync method is called within this control, it successfully reaches the controller and then reports back to the relevant event handler as expected. However, when it is handled, the event arguments contain an error stating: "The remote server returned an error: NotFound.".
Previously, I have noticed this is caused when some part of my communication URL is incorrect - in this case it is not. From some Googling, I have also noticed that this is a generic error. As such, I'm rather stumped. To make matters more confusing, I use this exact same communication attempt in another part of the program, that retrieves an array of strings, and that works perfectly fine.

I've just tried the same bit of code with different data, and it works fine. I wondered if it was the size of the data (as the first attempt was with very large data), but I don't understand why that would matter if the call managed to hit the controller.

I wrote a loop where I used message.to.add(recipient) first to add all the emails to the recipients collection.
However when the e-mail was received each recipient sees the entire list of recipients. How do I send to only
one recipient at a time, or prevent each recipient from seeing who all the other recipients are?
I want to write a program that keeps looking out for a file in a folder. That file will be dropped in at a particular time. If no file is recieved at that time, I will have to send out an email saying no file is recieved. How can I do this?

I'm working on a project in VS 2010 that was created in VS 2005 & 2008. I am using the standard PasswordRecovery control. When a goes through the password recovery process, everything appears to be normal. They enter their user name, have to answer the security question, then the "Your password has been sent to you" message is displayed. But, the email is never received. I have tried user names with several different email addresses, but no messages are received. What is a good way to debug this? Here are my settings:
