C# - Creating A Hook Into Facebook App From Another Site

new to facebook dev and I have read the basics to get a site up and running using the canvas setup. Nice and simple, I have also got the integration with users working ok (i.e. the signed_request).
I was wondering how it works with "sending/posting" data from one site that is anonymous (my own external to facebook) to the facebook site.
The flow I'm after is a user is looking at some content my site A (my own external site) and then clicks the "share on facebook" button (or whatever), which sends the user (and the data they were looking at) to the site B (my facebook app) to which they authenticate and then (and this is the part I dont get) can see that content on their personalised homepage within site B.
So is there a way to POST some kind of data to the facebook site? Or do I need to do something else here?
I am wondering - can you create a site that uses a users facebook credentials? I have heard they are using open ID but I don't know a lot about it, I found info about creating facebook apps with ASP.NET however I am really looking to let users sign in with their facebook ID so they don't have to sign up for another service.
I want to support the following scenarios on my ASP.NET MVC website:First time visitor wants toregister, via facebook connect. I'dlike the user to have an entry in myuser membership table - so I havethem enter a username/password(email gets populated via facebookconnect).Registered user returns to mysite, logged into facebook already.I'd like my site to see they'relogged into facebook already and auto log them into my membershipsystem.Registered user returns to msite, but is not logged intofacebook.
new to creating a web site. I bought "Build your own asp.new 2.0 website using c# & Vb." and I'm using Visual Studio 2005.
The book seems good so far but I'm now having a problem. I think I need to use "User Sessions" but I can't get them to work. The code works fine using Applications but when I change to Sessions, when I go into a page the value is always null.
I need "using System.Web.SessionState.HttpSessionState" defined but there doesn't seem to be anything after "System.Web.SessionState".
I've tried using the counters example in the book but with Session I only ever get 1 coming up which is the reset value when the Session["xxx"] is null.

I searched the whole day for using Linq to XML in my MVC application. I only found tutorials or posts how I can use a sql database and LINQ to SQL as a Model, and not Linq to XML. There is no tutorial how I can access data in a website which is in form of a XML file and is using the asp.net mvc model.
I'm implementing a simple HttpModule, where I want some code to run when the web application is started. But I'm surprised to find that the Application_Start event I would normally use from Global.asax is not available from a HttpModule. Is that correct, or am I missing something here?

I have created a ASP.Net application which basically serves as a content management site. I need to create a Sitemap for our website which should be dynamic. I've tried Telerik's Sitemap control for ASP.net Ajax and found it useful. I want to know which is the best way to create a dynamic site map page in an ASP.net application before i proceed with the telerik control.

My application has a requirement of creating an excel sheet from the database on clicking logout buttonThis is implemented using the following com Components:Microsoft Excel 11.0 Object LibraryI created a Folder(Temp) in the application .When ever user clicks on the log out button, A folder(with the session name ) in Temp Folder gets created and the excel file is created here.Now every thing works fine on the local machine(User is getting the prompt for open and save etc)When I publish this .Nothing seems to be working.There is a n error that says" Could not find the excel at the said location(Tempseesion NmaeName.xls)The excel is not geting created when application is publised.
This value, MembershipService.MinPasswordLength, is zero (0). Obviously, this is coming from my class. I can't have a set because the abstract class has this as a read-only property.Why doesn't the MembershipProvider read this value from the Web.Config? What am I missing?

I'm looking for a way to intercept the ASP.NET processing pipeline in such a way to be able to register event handlers to all events on the Page class. The reason is, I need to maintain a session-bound instance of a component that needs to be notified of all important Page events, starting from OnPreInit.
There's an arbitrary number of Page descendants in the application, which are not under my control. Hence I cannot use an approach like using a single custom descendant, that would notify the session-bound component, as a base class for all pages in the web application.
I don't think creating a custom IHttpHandler or IHttpModule implementation would solve the problem. Also note I cannot create a custom HttpApplication descendant.
I want to be able to do something like display an image for required fields. If the field is filled in and passes validation, the image is replaced with another image. If the field is not filled in or is filled in incorrectly, I want the initial image to replaced by still another. For example, the initial image can be a red star. A green check mark can be the image for a valid field, and a red "X" can be the image for a missed or invalid field.
Another post pointed me to [URL] which seemed to contain my anwer in the Bypassing Client Validation / Special effects section, but it only works in IE!
Doing all my own client side validation is not a good alternative. Does anyone know how I can style anything other then the input control (or the validation controls) when the input control fails to validate and before the postback?

So I have two UpdatePanels. I am dynamically creating server-side buttons in UpdatePanel2. When the buttons come out, they are not hooked to the asynchronoustriggers of updatePanel1.
So how can I dynamically add these triggers of these newly dynamically created buttons so that clicking these buttons will only cause a partial postback to UpdatePanel1 ? Right now, when I click these buttons, it causes a partial-postback refresh to UpdatePanel2 (the panel itself that which the controls reside in)

I see that only name,group,email address we can access at facebook send button. How can i send to my facebook page wall (where i am admin) by clicking facebook send button. It's by default don't show it.
I need to develop a login where user can login from his facebook account. When user login first time, an auth dialog should open from facebook asking to user for access permission and than it should move to one of my page where I can retrieve user email address and first name & last name through his facebook access token. How to achieve this?
