C# - How To Modify Style For Textbox In Codebehind

I am trying to set the style of an asp:TextBox in codebehind, the textbox is style is set initially to style="display:none" when I set the dispaly to block in codebehind the textbox appears for a moment and then it's gone. I don't know what this problem is, when it's done in javascript it works fine
I have a site and Web.sitemap file added to the root folder of the site.
I want to create a new page that allows the user to change the title and description of the SiteMapNodes in the Web.sitemap file. I have completed it partially, in the sense, I am able to iterate through the nodes in the sitemap file using the following code.

So, the data appears on my textboxes and a combo box. I tried to modify the content of my textbox and click on the Update button. Unfortunately, there's no modification that happen. Here's my code in the Update button

how do i do that in a one-liner? there is not CSS attribute for read-only in a text-area and after i do this textbox i will move on and want to do the same on the text-areas.
When TextBox1.Enabled = false; it has a gray background in FF3, but no change in IE8 or Chrome. So it's harder to tell if it's disabled or not. Is there any more general way to make the disable textbox rendered more consistent on a top-level? So I don't need to change this for every page or every website?
I'm using Visual Web Developer 2010. I placed a TextBox control on the form and want to be able to refer to it in the CodeBehind. Other controls like the DropDownList and the FormView are referenceable in CodeBehind, but the TextBox is not. I have RUNAT set to SERVER.

I have a textbox on my page for users to enter input. If they were to type text outside of the box, and then copy it into the textbox, how can I make the textbox able to preserve the style of the text copied into it: italics, bold-faced, etc.?
It currently will convert anything copied into it as plain text.

I have a Create User Wizard and I want to make the UserName textbox border red when a user doesn't enter text in the textbox. So I made a custom validator that looks like this:

I have a page with an iframe on it in which I load another page.On this iframe page I have some textboxes above eachother.When the first textbox is filled with a code the textchanged event is called nd the code is checked with the database.After the code has been changed to the right one (if needed) I want the focus to go to the next textbox.
So at the end of the event I do: Page.SetFocus(txtbox2)ut after the postback refresh, the focus is gone. I have also put the control to be focused in a session variable and then in the page_load event I set the focus to the control in the session variable, but still no focus on the textbox.How can I put it on the 2nd textbox?all is done in the Iframe page codebehind.
I need this focus because the two textboxes are filled via bar code reader and after the scan an "enter press" is done automatically and to be able to allow two scans after each other this focus change is needed.
I have a textBox control where I want the string: "User" to be written with a Gray color with a Italic style as default.
Now when a mouseclick occur in this box, I want this string to dissapear and I want the Forecolor to turn to Black and Normal style (not italic).
I trying to see if there is any events in the TextBox for mouseclicks and so on but are not sure if I can find anything like that in the events. I can only find the TextChanged_event.
I have a detailsview with three textboxes as itemtemplates. Each for holding a different date. To avoid the option of users entering invalid values the textboxes are disabled and the user can use a calender control to fill the dates. Because the textboxes are disabled I added a linkbutton to empty a date, if the user decides to clear it.

Now, the problem is that no matter which linkbutton a user clicks all three textboxes are cleared/emptied. Why?
This is annoying, because I have to apply this style to every single thumbnail image individually, when there could be any number of them on the screen at any given time. All of the thumbnails are inside a single <div> that groups them together, and I'd like to apply a single style to the <div> that will push the attributes I need down to all of the the <img> elements nested inside, regardless how many thumbnails there are.
I'm trying to include script and style references that will not break on deployment, however I can not even get the references to work locally. I have tried using Url.Content() and MVCContrib's <%=Html.ScriptInclude("")%>.
My scripts are in a Scripts folder on the root of the site; my styles are in the usual Content/css/ folder.
I'm just starting out with WebMatrix and would like to know how to style a @Html.TextBox("email") and @Html.Password("password") control? I've tried (in my CSS file):
.email{ /* styles here */ } .password{ /* styles here */ }
But that has no effect at all. How can we style these types of controls?
I am doing some research on themes in asp.net. (Just Learning) is this a practical use of my time? Should I just use css files and if someone wants to modify anything let them use the css to do it? Are themes a waste of my time? I really want to create my app but give the end user the ability to customize the look and feel without jumping through hoops. Can someone push me in the right direction with pros, cons etc
How can I change my map route so I can have another dir, and not just the controllers and actions.What I want is to have another directory before the controller so that way I can separate controller per "module"
