C# - Unable To See Programmatically Entered Events In Google Calendar?
Sep 10, 2010
I've written a entry form for our company employees to enter marketing courses into the DB and at the same time add them to a Google Calendar. The Calendar is accepting the events, but the coloration of the event is different from a "manually" entered event using Google's interface. This leads me to believe that there is some property I am not setting that is causing the events not to be show on the calendar once it is embedded in our other company web pages.
The code used to enter events:
// Create a CalenderService and authenticate
CalendarService myService = new CalendarService("exampleCo-exampleApp-1");
myService.setUserCredentials("xxx@gmail.com", "xxxxxx");
CalendarQuery query = new CalendarQuery();
[Code]....
And this is the resulting calendar:
The "test event jasdf event" is the manually entered event, and the two events: "Test event 234" are the programmatically entered events. In any case, once I embed the calendar, the only event showing up is the "test event jasdf".
Anyone faced this issue before or had success with google calendar? If so, I'd like to see what you might have used to successfully create events and publish them.
I have the following code for use in my asp.net website:
CalendarService service = new CalendarService("mycalendar"); EventQuery query = new EventQuery(); query.Uri = new Uri(group.GroupEventsURL); query.SingleEvents = true; query.SortOrder = CalendarSortOrder.ascending; query.ExtraParameters = "orderby=starttime"; query.NumberToRetrieve = 50; query.TimeZone = "America/Chicago"; EventFeed feed = service.Query(query);
Which produces the following URL:
[URL]
According to the documentation (emphasis mine), I expect the Times in each EventEntry to be in the Central time zone:
The current timezone. If not specified, times are returned in the calendar time zone.
Times in the resulting feed will be represented in this timezone.
Replace all spaces with underscores (e.g. "ctz=America/Los_Angeles").
But my server is hosted in Arizona, so (for now) all of the dates on the calendar are two hours earlier than they should be. Am I doing something wrong? How do I get the dates in the feed to be in the Central time zone even though the server is in Arizona?
I do not plan on moving my hosting any time soon, but since Arizona does not participate in Daylight Savings Time, I cannot simply add two hours to every date.
i just want to use a calendar with events like date selection update,delete,creat events. and i want to do this with sql server 2005. I started my project with webApple.

I have been tasked with designing a scheduling system to fit into an existing application. At present I have a SQL Table - Tasks which have a StartDate and EndDate column.
I have a requirement to set the Task as a recurring task i.e. Replace server backup tapes every day, or, Order more stationary once a month.
I am lost on how to design this. I can't seem to find a proper example on the net. can someone point me in the right direction.
I have few textboxes on a page which are loaded dynamically on change of text in dropdownlist. The user enters values in these textboxes and clicks on a addnewitem button. In the code behind I want to capture the values entered in these textboxes. But I get the value as empty.
On Pageload mthd there is nothing which is referencing to createdynamiccontrols method.Then I have
[Code]....
Firstly i am getting object reference not set to an instance of an object when the createchildcontrols method is called the second time and also if I dont have the createdynamiccontrols method in additem click event, controls are no longer tehre...
I am currently developing an events calendar application using ASP.NET MVC and SQL Server and I would like to know how the slideshow for events works on this site - [URL]
I need to display a calendar in my website which shows different sort of Events when clicked on particular date. My database has start date and end date, news title and news brief. I just want to display news Title on that date and then provide a link to that news brief in different page. How can I do this.
I'm looking to build a Google like calendar from scratch. I need it to be flexible, so if someone has an appointment scheduled and is running 15 minutes let, I need to be able to click a button and move that appointment and all the other appointments underneath it down by 15 minutes.
integration of Google Calendars in the website? I need to replace the existing calendar control in the website with the Google calendar. I am trying to merge the events with Google Calendar so that events are posted/ tracked in Google Calendar, and events added to the Google Calendar would be shown in my website. I want some working sample which will provide me some idea to integrate the Google calendar in the website.
I have been racking my brain for a few days trying to get a list of calendars from Google using DotNetOpenAuth. I can successfully get a list of contacts using the DotNetOpenAuth Samples. I have integrated it with my domain using the OpenId+OAuth. Everything works great to get a list of contacts.
So from there I modified the code to try to retrieve a list of Calendars and I keep getting a 401 Unauthorized error. I know it is authorizing because I can get the contact list. Does anyone have a code example how they are retrieving calendars or calendar events using the DotNetOpenAuth with Google???
Having a lot of problems getting to grips with the Kentico CMS, but I'm finally getting somewhere close. I'm using a normal portal engine and running Kentico 5.5 RC2 on a local installation. I currently have an events page which uses a repeater to display all of the events that are available on the system currently. I want to use a calendar to be able to filter the events in that repeater. How would I go about this?
if i click a date in the calender control events under the clicked date should be populated in the gridview( not for a particular date for all dates in the calender ) in .net
I was just wondering if someone could help me. I would like to have an event calendar system whereby I have an XML document containing a list of events, with <Title><Date><Description> and <URL> nodes. I have bound them to a data source.What I want now is to add a calendar to the page, so when a user selects a particular month a list of all the events in that particular month are listed in date order.
I am programatically adding a control to an aspx page and binding a server side event to an index changed event inside the control. (It's a RadListBox from Telerik's ASP.NET controls) The problem is that on the postback triggered from the control, the event doesn't hit its eventhandler because on the postback the control isn't defined. Is there a way to handle this without having to retrace the logic taken before and rebuild the controls so the events that stem from it are processed?
I have embedded a Google Calendar Reminder button into an aspx page. It assumes the date is in a yyyyddmm format. So that 08/14/2010 in my text box needs to be converted to 20101408 What would be the format to take a date (string) from a textbox and convert it into a string will be in the desired format for Google?
I'm rendering charts on my website using the Google Charts API and I want to export these into a report for the users, most likely a PDF file. What methods are available to do this programmatically into a PDF file?
I am trying to programatically create a bitmap with a specified font in ASP.Net. The idea is that the text, font name, size color etc. will be passed in from variables and a bitmap of the text using the font etc will be returned. However, I have been finding that I am only able to do so using the following code with certain fonts.
<div> <% string fontName = "Segoe Script"; //Change Font here System.Drawing.Bitmap bmp = new System.Drawing.Bitmap(100, 100); System.Drawing.Graphics graph = System.Drawing.Graphics.FromImage(bmp);
[Code]...
If I change the font name in the areas indicated by the comments to Arial or Verdana both the image and the label appear with the correct font. If however, I change the font name in both locations to something "Segoe Script" the Label will show up in Segoe Script but the image is in what looks like Arial.
Update:
Based on this question here I was able to get it working by using a PrivateFontCollection() and loading the font file like so.
I am using a Calendar extender in a modalpopup when i click the image button the calendar extender should be displayed and when i click a particular date that date should be displayed in the textbox its working but what my problem is when i click the image button for the first time the calendar extender is displayed in the back side of the modal pop hence i am unable to select a particular date. but when i click the same image button for the second time the calendar extender will be displayed correctly.
I am displaying Event dates from SQL table on Calendar Control in ASP.NET. Also, I have GridView Control which shows event details when certain date is clicked on calendar control. But I have a problem as not all dates are displaying properly.
Strangly enough only dates which have same month and day date are displayed. For example:
It shows ok dates such as 08/08/2010, 09/09/2010, 10/10/2010 etc. If I click on the date which in SQL table exists as 11/25/2010 or 12/15/2010 etc (no matching month/day numbers) it shows error message saying: "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Conversion failed when converting date and/or time from character string."
Follwoing is my code:
[Code]....
I would like to make sure all events are showed properly in grid view.
