i have a asp.net page which inherits form a master page where i load javascripts.I like to place a iframe withing the page which will point to a html(which contains the link to javascript) .Will my java scrips work ?

I have a master page with 2 content placeholders. Im my verified page (which uses the master), i have a nav menu on the left. Dependant on the item selected fro the nav menu on the left, id like to poplute the content placeholders content with an aspx page (which contains a user control) or just an apsx page
ive seen a couple of articles suggesting iframe, and a couple suggesting nested master pages but i dont believe i can get this to work with nester masters,
I have 2 iframes in my page and 2 separate pages linked to each of these iframes. In one iframe page a tab control is placed with treeview on each tabs and the tree items are selectable (treeview with checkbox). On navigation of one tab from other an XML document stored in session is being updated with the selected treenode values.
The second iframe page is places on right side of the page which summarize the selected made on the each tabs. To do this, the page is getting loaded on tab navigation and in page load of that page, the treeview id created and displayed. We created the treeview as an object and kept in session variable then added into a panel. The only modified areas require to be updated instead of binding the entire tree on each tab's navigation.
1. The treeview must retain it's collapse/expand status on tab navigation which is not happening now.
2. When I set EnableClientScript property to true, I'm getting error on expand/collapse as Undefined 'somenodename' error. If I set the value as false, then postback is happening which should not.
We have installed a web site written by others which is compiled with Visual Studio 2008 and hosted in Windows server 2008 R2.
The IIS connection timeout is set to 120 seconds. But for some pages, the first page loading fails with HTTP 404 error but sequential refresh can bring the page up. The same problem happens for some images which fail to load in web pages. We are not very sure it is network related issue or hosting issue.
I have update panel on the page to avoid postback and placed a dropdownlist control within that update panel. DrodownList is filled with Category names and also it's autopostback set to True.
Now whenever dropdownlist index change's on select, untill page loads complete data it should show mesage as "Loading.... in center and middle of the page and background should become bit transparent". And when page load completely with data then that background and message should get disappear.
I want to display a loading animation while my page is loading, and when loading is complete then obviously hide it.
I am working in ASP.NET using Masterpages, just wondering there is a a simple way of doing this using JQuery?
We are using 6 iFrames on our page. They fetch data from couple of external web services and an internal WCF service and display the data. There is a separate aspx page built for each of the iFrames. From our perf monitoring we found out that at any point only two threads are executing in parallel. Not all 6 threads get executed. What can probably be cause for this? Is there any restriction that more than 2 threads can't be created in parallel? Is there any configuration where I can change this?
View 3 RepliesI've a very complete site in ASP.NET wich uses iframes. I'm working to change an old control we'd been using to show dialogs to use jQuery UI dialogs. I'm also making sure everything works well in IE9.
The fact is: the script I've in the pages shown in iframes is not working in IE9. Why? Because Object, Array and String are undefined. There may be some others issues, I've seen only this ones.
There is no chance (because a lot of reasons) to stop using iframes on some dialogs. And I'd rather not to use the meta tag to force IE8 Compability. Does anyone know any way to fix this uggly bug in IE9?

I've got a situation where there is a page with 3 iframes. The first frame contains a TreeView, the second a GridView which is dependent on the selected node of the Treeview in frame 1 and the third frame contains labels with information also dependent on the TreeView in the first frame.
My problem is, how do I pass information from the first frame to the others? Can I access information about the selected node in JavaScript, pass it to another frame and then do a postback with the info as an argument?
We have to use iframes in our site to open a secured third party page within it. If we run our site thru HTTP , the page shows up in iframes.
But if i run my site as secured(HTTPS) it doesn't dispaly the third party secured page in iframe. We have src tag in the iframe.
I have an ASP.NET page and have a couple of linkbuttons and Iframes. The pages in side of these IFrame take long time to load, I want the user to navigate to another page by clicking one of the linkbuttons. Now, it looks like it is waiting for the the iframes to finish loading when i click on a link button, the page is still trying to load (instead of navigating to different page).
Is there any way I can stop the iframes to load and go to another page?
I have different iFrames on my page and one of the iFrame has pdf plugin that shows the PDF document and i have another iFrame that pops up on delete button click and a function to toggle the iFrames. It works fine in Firefox but in IE my pop up iFrame is always behind the PDF. Any thought how can I set it right, there is some issue with the z-index of PDF, it is set to infinity something like that in IE !

It is databound to web.sitemap, but when loading a new page, it does not select the node of the current page, just resets it to the root. THe new page loads fine, just not preserving the current navigation in the tree view.

When I click on the link it goes to the Details page Page Load Function like its suppose to, but when it finishes it goes back to the Home pages Page Load Function. Then loads the Details page. So it parses the old pages Page Load Function for somewhat no apparent reason, because in the end it loads the Details page. This only happens when I click on the link to my Details page. When I click on other links to other pages, it doesn't do this. For some reason only my Details page. I went through the code to see what could be causing this but have no clue. I included below the complete .aspx.vb for my Details page. What could be causing this? Again this ONLY happens when going to my Details page.

The problem with my web application is when ever i load the home page - The master page as well as content page loads ---This seems fine but when i navigate thorugh the website which have the same Master page but diffrent content page .... the master page loads again. What i want to do is ..I want to keep the master page intact and only the content page loads. How can I accomplish it..

Content pages are arranged accoring to business area folders, i.e. '~/Branding/Contracts.aspx'. I find that when I load such a content page, jQuery, which is referenced in the master page as below, does not load. I assume that this is because the browser is requesting 'Branding/Scripts/jQuery What can I do about this? I don't have the 'root' operator in a plain 'script' tag.

i have an html page and i want to open it in an .aspx.
I need to made some changes in html before i show that in browser , and i need to make them in memory, so i open and load and make changes to my html Page and , now i need to pass that html string to iframe, but i am not able to do dat from code behind, iframe.innerHtml do not work.
I tried to set innerhtml for a div instead of iframe, that works , but here when browser renders html page, it applies my Html page style sheat on my aspx ( where CSS are defined for body ). Means the CSS for body that is in head of my htmlPage , sets on my aspx page.

I have different projects and libraries for which I've created helpfile with Sandcastle. Now Sandcastle provides also the possibility to create a website.
What I would like to do is to create an aspx-page where I can dynamically create a menu and where the existing helpfile-websites can be sollicited. All in one place.
Is it possible to accomplish this? Maybe some control that I can use to view an entire webpage?
I prepared a ASP.NET web site. But it contains lots of flash controls. View 1 RepliesI have an web application of 200 web pages and all has a single master page. Most of the content pages use AJAX controls so most of content pages has its own ScriptManager. Now I have a requirement to add a link with HoverMenuExtender control and for that I need to put ScriptManager in the Master page, but it is working only in the content pages where there is not ScriptManager.
All the other content pages which has ScriptManager throws the error Only one instance of a ScriptManager can be added to the page. I don't want to work on most of the content pages again to remove ScriptManager. Is there any easy way to do this something like coding in Master page which decides if there is already ScriptManager already, then don't load it.

View 2 RepliesI'm having a problem with the load order on my project. I've got a website with a series of content pages which need to access a central set of variables (UserID, etc..). To me, the best way to store this information is in a series of session variables, and the best way to load this information is via the onload method of the Master page. However, my content page onload method is getting called first, throwing a series of null exceptions. From everything I have read, the master page should be loaded first, and then the content page.
