I'm trying to execute this statement every minute with SQL Agent, I have it set up as a job:
[Code]....
It's trying to update a column which data type is set to decimal. Just so you know what I really need out of it, here is an example:
[Code]....
The answer of which should add on 0.5 to the original value. If I were to use the increase value of 60 which then becomes 60/60 it will work.I'm dividing by 60 because the increase value is per hour so I make it smaller to get per minute value. Why is it doing this?

I was read your post: "Export GridView to Excel in ASP.Net with Formatting using C#" and is very useful. That code works perfect. But I need create a new format for a specific column in my sheet before to export it. For example:My DataTable have a column with decimal numbers and I'm trying reduce the tenths for each number.I want this: 2,874444 ----> 2,87 for a specific range. In this case I need it for all numbers in the column 13 or well said for the Column called N in Excel. Only reduce two tenths.
I used:
xlWorkSheet.Range["N"+h,"N"+h].NumberFormat = "0.00";
And no works (h is for rows, N is the column. Into a foreach).

I have a master gridview that I am populating data to. I am am also counting records of open and closed and I want to display the percentage closed. I am using the following code. It always rounds up. In other words, if the actual calculation shows it to be 0.16 it will always display in the label as 0.2 I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. If I just take two numbers and divide them in the code it displays 0.16676767. Here is the code I am using. The first line is on up in the code but I plugged it here to show you that I am using a session variable to add to as I rip through the code. I have all three of the variables I am placing the session variables in defined as Dim xxxxx as single.

I have my form set in french as well, and it automatically changes the text format to use ','. However When I try to insert my values into the database it says cannot convert nvarchar to decimal? Worst case, Is there a way I can disable the numbers from changing to use ',' and just use '.' always regardless what language it is?

Using sql server and trying to insert decimal values using a ASP.NET C# code. I get the value for hours from a text box through user input and I'm trying to insert it to the database.
strSQLWAUpdate = " UPDATE Project SET WAHours='" + txtWAHours.Text + "' WHERE WAProjectID='" + hidWAProjectID.Value + "' ";
What happens is it rounds off the hours to interger value. So if I insert 22.3 in the text box what i get in the database is 22 and if I insert 22.7 I get 23 in the database. I do not need any rounding but need to get the values as it is. ( that is 22.3 and 22.7 respectively)

I currently have a numeric field as numeric(5,2) which has 2 digits after the decimal. Now I need to be able to display 4 digits after the decimal. But if I change the field to (7,4) then it places 2 zeros after the last numbers. For example: 1.32 changes to 1.3200.
But some records will have exactly 4 numbers after the decimal such as : 2.4375.
My issue is I don't want all the data to have 4 numbers after the decimal. I don't think there is another data type that will allow this.

display comma separated database values in a gridview? I'm not sure if I should handle this in a stored procedure or VB.net. I have a bunch of values stored in a checkbox list and the following database design: Each column datatype is a bit.
Val1 Val2 Val3 Val4
a b c d
I need something like this to be displayed in the gridview: a,b,c - depending on what values are set to 1 in the database.

I got a decimal member in my viewmodel and get populated from the database (say 55.5, or 100.00)
In my view I use TextBoxFor<> for this member.
Is there any way to have a number (it's actually a percentage) like 100.00 display as 100 instead, and 55.50 as 55.5?

I have a gridview that calls a stored procedure that allows the user to search a parts list. In the gridview, I added a textox for Quantity and a button to Add to Quote. The idea here is that the user searches for parts, enters a quantity for a selected part, part is added to quote and user searches again for more parts. Here's my gridview code:
[Code]....
I've also created QuoteParts.aspx as follows:
[Code]....
Questions:
1. How do I display the gridview values including textbox Quantity in my listbox?
2. How do I ensure that parts remain in the listbox after another search is performed? If it's viewstate, can you provide an example of how to go about doing this?
3. The values in the listbox will ultimately be written to the database on an insert record when customer creates a quote. Is there a way to streamline this process so that the insert is started when gridview textbox quanity is entered? I'm thinking about using a wizard control with first step being a display of selected parts, culiminating in an insert statement.

My database has 4 colums;
TraditionalID-------------TraditionalName------------Singles-----------Suppers
Singles and suppers are money fields for the price of same item. A bit like the price of a Small, Medium or Large item. What I would like to do is display the 'Singles' price and 'Suppers' price in seperate listitems so the user can choose 1 of them.
GridView:
Traditional Name__________Size
Chicken-------------------[DROPDOWNLIST]
DropDownList:
Price of Single is: £1.50
Price of Supper is: £2.50
My page loads up with the correct items in TraditionalName colum but the DropDownList is completely empty. I'm aware I don't have anything in for DataValueField and DataTextField but I have tried putting things in these attributes, like Suppers and Singles, but nothing works, so I have taken them out below.
<asp:GridView ID="GridView1" runat="server" AutoGenerateColumns="False" DataKeyNames="TraditionalID" DataSourceID="SqlDataSource1">
<Columns>
<asp:BoundField DataField="TraditionalID" HeaderText="TraditionalID" InsertVisible="False" ReadOnly="True" SortExpression="TraditionalID" Visible="False" />
<asp:BoundField DataField="TraditionalName" HeaderText="Meal" SortExpression="TraditionalName" />
<asp:templateField HeaderText="Size">
<ItemTemplate>
<asp:DropDownList ID="DropDownList1" runat="server" DataSourceID="SqlDataSource2">
</asp:DropDownList>
<asp:HiddenField ID="RowTraditionalName" runat="server" Visible="false" Value='<%# Eval("TraditionalName") %>' />
<asp:SqlDataSource ID="SqlDataSource2" runat="server"
ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:The CodfatherConnectionString %>"
SelectCommand="SELECT Suppers AS Suppers, Singles AS Singles FROM [Traditional] WHERE TraditionalName = @TraditionalName">
<SelectParameters>
ControlParameter Name="TraditionalName" Type="String" ControlID="RowTraditionalName" PropertyName="Value" />
</SelectParameters>
</asp:SqlDataSource>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:templateField>
</Columns>
</asp:GridView>
