@ artlung, I placed the below code just outside of my form but inside the body. The last line of code I placed inside Panel1 of my form. Anything wrong with this code because nothing happens when I click the Copy to Clipboard button.

Is it possible to get a Label's text property in javascript using the clientID? I know with a text box you can do:
var test = document.getElementById("<%=txtUnread.ClientID%>").value;
But Label's get converted to span's which don't have a value.
I am trying to save HTML content in a database. I have it stored properly but when I try to call it and display it on a page using a literal or label control, it does not show the content properly. It will show the text but not any HTML content (i.e. checkboxes, images, hyperlinks, etc)

I have Template fields configured for Gridview. The gridview is using an objectdatabsource to bind itself. I have the gridview configured to use Templatefields which then contain tables to display the information. This works fine.
My question is, is it possible to change the text of the label if certain criteria is reached. If "NumberOfDwellings" is 1 then change the label to read, "1 Dwelling". Where-as if NumberOfDwellings has more than one then it's "3 Dwellings".

I have been messing about with this for hours surely this should be an easy task ....... I have a stored procedured that creates a invoice on a Quotetable one of the parameters is a output parameter Invoice Number this is passed to a label. (Label1) This works great.
I then need to add items to the invoice on a item table so my next stored procedure should take the value of Label1 and update the foreign key quotenumber on the itemtable with the value from label1.
On the aspx page I have a small section for a gridview which shows the current quote with however many items on it using the control

On the ASP page the control for @Quotenumber = Label1 but I get the following error

Is it possible to display or hide a label based on the text rendered in it?
I have a label that will display the value of a control on the previous page. If the value rendered is "0" then I want to hide the label or hide the label and one more label associated with it. (or if the value is more than "0" make it visible.
My problem is when a label's text property has a value without space and bigger than it's width property. -Mostly when i enter a link url- The text of label exceeds the width of label!

but this appears before the DOCTYPE. I'd like to write it at a particular place, or at least in the "body".Thinking about it, I guess I could create a comment label at the beginning of the body and write it there:

Is there a way to make sure it is in the body if I do not have a Label already defined for the purpose.

View 3 RepliesI am working with a pretty complicated .aspx page that is full of controls (Telerik, Ajax, etc.) that all expand, collapse, show, hide, etc. when the page is loaded. Since this rendering happens on the client-side and can take different lengths of time based on the users machine specs, is there a way to detect when all (or some) rendering has taken place (jQuery?) so I can then act on specific elements, knowing they are fully rendered?

View 2 RepliesI have a requirement where I need to generate a pdf doc.I am using itextlibrary for that condition.I am able to generate pdf doc but alignment is not correct.The table is getting divided in to two equal parts for two columns in pdf doc for what ever width I specify.For ex if I have set width as 650px its not taking that width in pdf doc instead it is taking full doc.How to set the table at desired location in pdf doc and set width of columns.I tried to set width of column in the html table but its not working.

I have an asp page with a textboxes, labels and other controls. I cannot get the .text to change in any of these controls. I click on button which I execute code that I expect to update the text but it doesn't work. Something like Textbox1.text = "Hello" Are there page level properties/settings I should look at? I am perplexed an looking for a place to start. I will provide more information as needed. I just don't know where to start.

But if i take the photocopy (xerox) of that printed page, the text or logo should not display or it should display in reverse manner...
