I am trying to locate a label on a content page from within User Control(ascx)

It just unloads itself with no exception mesage. Why does it happen?
I have a label control inside of repeater and I can't seem to get FindControl to locate the label inside of the repeater or even the repeater itself. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. OnItemDataBound is firing because "hello1" is being written but if I put anything inside of the For Next loop of rptMarketFundamentals, nothing is run inside of it.

I have a web user control book.ascx and a formview:

I am trying to set the value of the label in the master page by

But the value in the master page label is not changed.
I have done master page and some content page..I have put three LABEL(not in inside the Content place holder) in masterpage and l have store some value..in this, the same value i want to use in content page..how to get that masterpage content value.

I have a label on the master page that is updated by the contents pages. Rather then create a content placeholder that will contain only this label, I was hoping to be able to modify it directly. I have the label called lblYAO on the masterpage, and in the code behind I have

I know I can modify the page directive on the content pages, but there is another person who will be adding pages, and this may be a bit much for him. In the content page's code behind, I would like to do something like Page.Master = "something" but I understand I have to explicitly cast it to the appropriate type first? This is as far as the examples I've seen have gotten me. I haven't seen any casting examples.

I'm using this Ajax script [URL] to load content from an aspx page on another server than the page calling the content. So far I've learned that this is a no go. The problem seems to be that when using an absolute link to content the script fails as apposed to using a relative link.
I've searched the web for about 10 hours now, and I still haven't found what I'm looking for.

I am not using any Content Place Holder or Master Page (does the error refer to the Site.Master file because while I can see it in. Solution Explorer, I never use it. All of my aspx files look like this along the top with no reference to Site.Master:

I have a asp.net page - manageCustomer.aspx with a button 'SyncCustomers'. When this button is clicked, customer records will be taken one by one from one database and syncd with another database. As it is a long running process, when this button is clicked and process starts, I want to show present status in a label box of the same manageCustomer.aspx page. But inside this button click event, where I have codings for this process, when I try to update text of label box, its not changing in that page. only when all process were completed,last text that i gave for label box is displayed. the first one is MasterPageA.Master which has some controls; the second one is MasterPageB.Master which is son of MasterPageA and it has some other controls.
There is also another page, named Default1.aspx, which is son of MasterPageB.Master.
I need to access to a label control put in the Content part of MasterPageB.Master.
I tried to fit the code that I usually use for one level (Master-Son) found at this page and I've write in Default.aspx.vb this code:

I am building a website in which all of the site layout is in Master page and the content of the site is in the inherited pages. I have various links for navigation in which i simple use Response.Redirect to transfer to different pages. Now the problem is that I want to put the content place holder inside Ajax Update panel so that the postbacks are Asynchronous and I want to show the postback by an animated image inside Update Panel progress control. The problem is that I am unable to achieve this result and the entire page is posted back and rendered again. I have placed the content place holder inside the Ajax control toolkit's Update panel but it does not work. Is there any way that I can change the content of the content place holder to a new page with asynchronous postback.

I am having a slight problem with adding text (output from a stored procedure) to a label control that is nested inside a contentplaceholder (ContentPlaceHolderProductsLeftCol). The page is also using master pages.

In master page I am using asp content place holder. And in my child page I am using pure html coding. When I attach master page in my child page I am getting this error.Content controls have to be top-level controls in a content page or a nested master page that references a master page.

I am getting this error "Only Content controls are allowed directly in a content page that contains Content controls". I am using a single aspx page and not a separate cs file. Now, to write code inside aspx page, I am using <script> tag. Now, my problem is inside one of the method I have to use <script> tag. Now, when i use that this error comes. Eg

I am trying to save HTML content in a database. I have it stored properly but when I try to call it and display it on a page using a literal or label control, it does not show the content properly. It will show the text but not any HTML content (i.e. checkboxes, images, hyperlinks, etc)
