Pictures Doesn't Show While Running Web Application?

SO I upload an image to my server in a folder Called Updates. Than Im trying to view this pic by using the following:
<asp:Image runat="server" ImageUrl="C:/Uploads/ec.jpg" />
Basically ec.jpg is in a folder called Uploads which is in C:. When I run my web app the pic doesn't show. Ive been trying to figure how to fix this problem for a quiet some time but I cant seem to figure it out. Now if I put the image in my actual Project file and than I try viewing it , it shows just fine.

i have a masterpage in my project when i want to set image's path i have to use for exmaple ../../Image/TopBanner.jpg but some page is in root and some page is in folder so dose not show pictures in the page.

I'm working on an ASP.net web application. I'm getting errors on some of my pages where I get runtime JavaScript errors. I've narrowed the problem down to a single ASP Menu control on the master page. I created a blank page with just the ASP Menu control. The ASP Menu control is bound to Web.sitemap. The page intermittently gives runtime errors. However, if I refresh the page, the error may or may not appear on any given page load. Sometimes, it works; sometimes, the browser throws runtime errors when loading the page or when I mouse over the ASP Menu control.
When I catch the error in Visual Studio, the message is "microsoft jscript runtime error 'sys' is undefined". When I Google for this message, I find that it is usually associated with AJAX. However, the ONLY thing on the page is a single ASP control. There is absolutely no Javascript on the page except for what gets generated by the .net framework. What could be causing this problem? UPDATE I've found out that my environment actually has load balancing with a web farm of three servers servicing the URL. When I access the application on any one of the servers individually by IP address, everything works fine.
To clarify, I understand that when a user hits the public-facing URL, it resolves to x.x.x.1. x.x.x.1 is the address for a switch which routes the request to either x.x.x.2, x.x.x.3, or x.x.x.4. When I use the public-facing URL, I find that some of the axd file requests are intermittently rerouted to Error.aspx! WTF? I'm told that this is the result of a security feature that is meant to protect me from cross-site scripting and other assorted bad stuff. What can I do? Update After taking out some error page auto-redirects, I get a more meaningful error message: ASP.NET Ajax client-side framework failed to load.

I am working on custom server control. I need to embed js,css and image files in control. I have added js and css file but I am facing a problem to embed images which is in css file. I have set background image in one class in css file but that image does not display when I run the page. So Is it possible to add webresourceurl for images which are placed in css file?

Page A loads very fast; Page B loads very slowly and does some CPU-intensive things on the web server. I noticed that if someone is loading Page B, then Page A also loads slowly - for ALL users. What is the standard practice for making sure this doesn't happen? If multiple users are loading Page B at the same time then Page A is ridiculously slow. Is there an IIS setting, web.config setting, or hardware configuration I could use to make sure that the fast-loading pages aren't bogged down by other pages that need more time to load?

I am trying to have a marker show whether or not a particular service within the services.msc is running on a remote server(s). I have a service called Yardi Services on a virtual server. I want to be able to show on a dashboard I am creating for work, whether this service in running or stopped. For some reason this service will randomly stop though I have a auto restart on error. I am assuming that I would need to create a web service or use WMI?

on button click, long task(e.g thread) runs in my webpage for about 4-5 minutes.I want to show status to user either by a processing image through javascript(image must be shown in a certain part of page other part of page will remain intact) or an exact status of process if possible. i have tried a lot but all in vein.

I have a datasource (which is a query) that could run more than 30 secs. I want to show to a user an animated icon (I have it already) while the Gridview is waiting to return data.
I studied several tutorials and textbooks but all just "thoerectically" use a timer to simulate, without much application to real example above. How should I code it in the above real scenario ? In which event handler to put the code and what control (Update panel) to use and any sample code ?

I am logged in as the administrator when I installed an application named pdflatex.exe on my server. This application works as a converter from LaTeX input file to Pdf file. I host an Asp.net MVC 3 application running under an Application Pool Identity with Load User Profile = True. The Asp.net MVC 3 code contains a code that executes pdflatex.exe using System.Diagnostic.Process instance as follows:

I created a simple .NET 4.0 WebSite through VisualStudio 2010 using the Installed Template for ASP.NET Web Site.This brought me to "Choose Location" where I chose Local IIS, then Create New Web Application.This created the template app with all of the local files within IIS.This complies fine, but Im constantly getting the HTTP 403 Error "the website declined to show this webpage"I checked IIS properties for this and its set to 4.0 and the Directory Security has Anonymous Access enabled. Allow IIS to control password is also checked.I just installed VS 2010 on my new computer, and Im trying to get this configured so I can run 4.0 apps through IIS.

Error:404
Some of pages only produce this issues.Other forms are working perfectly.Without running application in IIS Its working perfectly.
If any one can answer send the answer immediatly.

I have a ASP.NET web application running under IIS 6, and another process that is responsible to monitor and report status. I'd like to sample the web application by the monitoring process in order to check its status by accessing a dedicated handler on the web application, BUT i don't want to "wake up" the web application in case it is not running. Is there an option to determine whether a specific web application is currently running? if there is such an option, i would be able to first check if the application is running, and only then to access the handler to check its status.

Now after 8 months of hosting it we have to include updations in 6 pages and addition of 15 new asp.net pages. Does anybody see any problem running an APS.Net 2.0 application on more than one browser windows at the same time concurrently? Users are accessing the application with IE and they do Control+N and access the same application in another windows and use both windows concurrently. Would there be any issue coming from session or anything such that I need to be concerned?

I have a web app that processes XML data. There are many steps, but to keep things simple, here are the relevant parts:
A PGP encrypted file is POSTED to my web site.I run a BATCH file to decrypt the PGP file. This batch file is run via System.Diagnostics.Process with WaitForExit set to TRUE (i.e. the decrypt process should complete before any else happens). The decrypted file is saved to a folder on my server as .XML.
Load the XML doc for processing via XmlTextReader.
I have extensive logs and ran across an exception I can't explain. While trying to load the decrypted data into XmlTextReader my app threw a System.IO.FileNotFoundException. My application is not multi threaded, so all steps should complete sequentially. I checked the timestamp of my logs when this System.IO.FileNotFoundException was encountered which as 3:00 AM. I then looked for the decrypted XML file the BATCH process should have created, and it does exist, but the file created time stamp is 3:05 AM. I can't understand why the file's created time is 3:05AM when my PGP decrypt BATCH process says it completed @ 3:00 AM.

I want my .net2.0 webservice application to run on IIS7.0 under CLR4.0, Is this possible simply creating an apppool with Classic,.netframework 4.0 settings and pointing my app to this pool? I have tried this and it works fine, but want to confirm on right track?
