Nov 15, 2010I am trying to write an ajax based tooltip for a website. The JS file searches the html page for certain keywords, which are fetched from an xml file. The keywords are searched using searchhighlight Jquery plugin. Then I use ajax to fetch the description of that keyword (or help) from aspx file(which just parses the xml doc for description of keyword)
I have been able to do everything except position the call to my mousehover functions. What has been happening is, when I hover over the first word, the tooltip gets displayed properly, but when I go over to the next word, the first tooltip gets displayed for a split second before the new tooltip loads. how to resolve the issue and make my code run smoothly? Here is the js file:

@Html.DropDownList("Title",ViewData["PersonTitle"] as SelectList, Model.Person.Title)
The dropdownlist contains simple strings (person titles). When you select a title, that title should be returned to my model. Controller code:
ViewData["PersonTitle"] = new SelectList(new[] { "Dhr.", "Mevr." });
Why is this not working ? Edit: The purpose is to change
@Html.EditorFor(model => model.Person.Title)
into something like this
@Html.DropDownList("Title",ViewData["PersonTitle"] as SelectList, Model.Person.Title)
C# - How To Put A LinkButton Into A Tooltip
Feb 24, 2011When using the core ASP.NET 3.5 (w/ Ajax), is it possible to include a LinkButton in a tooltip?
Unfortunately, these tooltips are generated on-the-fly within a GridView to display custom data from each row. Tooltips are currently showing using jQuery.
So,I don't know how to add a LinkButton (for a "Modify" action) to call a method on code-behind.

tooltiptext= System.Web.HttpUtility.HtmlDecode(tooltiptext);
and replcace DIV tags from string after asign it to table cell tooltip value.
this is working but is there any way to format html text and replcace tags on it other than above?

However, the graph in the tooltip is not able to come out, and I think it's mainly due to the name. Below is a portion of the code for the tooltip.

My product name has more than one word (e.g. Yuppy Gummy) and the tooltip is only able to retrieve the 'Yuppy' part of the whole product name. I also have a query that makes use of the 'product' (in the above code) in the Where clause.

although many people say that jquery is "very easy", i have really HARD TIME using it and i tried more than 10 times, always failed to make any use of it. i know it is my bad, but if you know other way not jquery
