Mar 20, 2010I am using VS2008, SP1. I am unable to put breakpoints in my client side javascript code. Wherever I try to put the breakpoint, I am getting the message: "This is not a valid location to put the breakpoint". I have the js intellisense working fine. I also unchecked the two "Disable Debugging" checkboxes on IE. Due to this problem, I am unable to debug the js in VS 2008.

Oct 21, 2010I have a webservice I need to call via a link. The webservice returns a pdf document and takes a document Id as a input parameter.Under normal circumstances I could have the link call some code in the code behind which in turn calls the webservice.
However the difficult part about it is I can't add code to the code behind. The reason is it is for some CMS users who want to know what links to add to the page which will download the pdfs. I can only add the link to the aspx page.

Jun 3, 2010I'm creating a ListView and have been unable to format column widths. After much research I have found that the width property of the <asp:Label doesn't work. I'm using

I test the FormView by changing the width property and it doesn't affect the width of the column. The <th control in the layout template has a width="60" that appears to be working. If I remove the <asp:label from the <td in the Item and AlternateItem templates, the width is set to 60. When I paste the <asp:label back into the <td, the width of the column increases to about 200px even though the width is set to 10. I set the backcolor to Aqua to see the label and it is about 200 px widt.

Apr 10, 2010In our program, we are exporting crystal report (ExportToStream method) in html format and sendind via email body contents.
The email is showing correct format i.e same format as like format showing in crystal report viewer.
But when the user, farwarding the same email to any other person, the format is totally collapsed. All lines are moving up and text parts showing down with out proper alignment.
How to resolve this issue?

But when I pass the textbox control that has the date in it as a parameter to the SQLDataSource control, I need it to be sent in the YYYY-MM-DD format for the AS400. Dec 14, 2010I don't think there's an easy way but thought I would ask. I'm currently retrieving a table from my db and binding it to a datagrid with the AutoGenerateColumns on. One of the columns is a date and it's displaying time although it's always 12:00:00. I'd like to display the short date format in the datagrid. Is there an easy way or do I have to manipulate each row or bind the columns individually?
