This error is showed when I upload the web page, thisThe control 'ctl00_Contenido1_Nametxt' type 'TextBox' must be placed into a label of the form with runat=server.]This is the code that I'm using...
I've uploaded a working application to my hosting web server and one page that I was working throws an error. In my web.config I have setting like this: .... <customErrors mode="Off" defaultRedirect="errorpage.htm"> <error statusCode="403" redirect="bannedaddress.htm" /> <error statusCode="404" redirect="filenotfound.htm" /> </customErrors> <compilation debug="true" targetFramework="4.0"> ....
and I am redirected to errorpage.htm even though customErrors mode is set to Off. I can't find any info about the error (other than it occured) in the log files. The question is: what should I change to be able to debug the app?
I've tried using directshowlib-2005 by installing k-lite mega codec pack. It can't find the duration of an mp4 file or f4v file (avi, wmv and flv has no problem). I use ImediaSeeking interface of directshowlib-2005 to find duration. But in case of mp4 and f4v the GetDuration method returns zero.
I know it is a codec problem, but I do not know which codec is to be installed to get duration of mp4 as well as f4v files.
I'm implementing an AJAX autocomplete feature where the user types into a textbox and the webpage generates suggestions (pretty much like how Google's search box works). I got the AJAX part to work right, but for some reason, my database query does not.Let's say I want to find "Chicago". Using the following query does not find it.SELECT TOP 10 citynames FROM city WHERE CONTAINS(citynames, 'chi*')But using this query does.SELECT TOP 10 citynames FROM city WHERE CONTAINS(citynames, 'chicago')By the way, "citynames" is an ntext type field and I'm using SQL SERVER 2008.Does anyone know why my first query can't find "Chicago"? I've been staring at that query for hours, yet can't find anything wrong with it. Something wrong with the database maybe?
My system Uploads files to an IIS server and then i manipualate them and after finished doing every thing, i need to delete the original file, the problem is that the IIS "grabs" the file and i can't delete it, when i close the procces i can delete it manualy from the server, but until i close the procces i can't even do that...
I'm using:File.Delete(Server.MapPath(OriginalFileVirtualPath)); to delete the file.
p.s. for now i'm using the .net server, not a full active IIS, but i don't think that the problem is over there...It even make some sence that when i upload a file to the sever, it won't let to delete it strate away, but i'm sure there is a work around...
In my website I have upload control that I use to upload files and all the links of uploaded files saved to sql database on the server of hosting company.then I have a grid view filled from database with the links of the uploaded files, how to delete some files that I uploaded to the server by code from the gridview
I have "installed" URLRewriter.net to my website, and it works just fine when I run it from Visual Studio, but as soon as I upload it, I get a 404.[URL]Application Pool has been changed to "integrated", because my host suggested that could be it. It didn't work though.
i've tried searching the net for this but really can't find much at all. i have created a website in visual web 2005 with sql express 2005. i have uploaded the website and altered the connection string and can connect to the database on the server, but now users can't log in The login control tells me when I've entered the wrong details, so it's doing something right, but if I enter the right credentials it eventually just throws back an error (Server Error in '/' Application.). I'm guessing it's something to do with the membership section in the web.config but can't quite work out where. I've altered the connectionstringname to the one that points to the database on the server and the application name in the table on the db is "/" so now I'm at a loss.
I have used updatepanel in asp.net 3.5 framework . It is running good in localhost but when i upload it into server which is not working as usual whole page is loading.
Currently we are saving files (PDF, DOC) into the database as BLOB fields. I would like to be able to retrieve the raw text of the file to be able to manipulate it for hit-highlighting and other functions.Does anyone know of a simple way to either parse out the files and save the raw text on save, either via SQL or .net code. I have found that Adobe has a filtdump utility that will convert the PDF to text. Filtdump seems to be a command line tool, and i don't see a way to use a file stream. And what would the extractor be for Office documents and other file types?-or-Is there a way to pull out the raw text from the SQL Full text index, without using 3rd party filters?Note i am trying to build a .net & MSSql solution without having to use a third party tool such as Lucene
I'm trying to use an asp:FileUpload Control to allow users to upload files (.doc, .gif, .xls, .jpg) to a server that is outside of our DMZ and not the Web Server. We want to have the ability to look at these files for viruses, structure, etc prior to saving them into another directory that would allow access to outside users. From what I have read about this control is that it will allow for files to be uploaded to the web server. Can this control be used to upload files to a server other than the web server? If it can be done where should I look for this type of functionality or how do I force it to go to https:servernamefolder name (Where server name is not the web server)? Would I have to read the file then write it to the other server?
i uploaded a new version of my website. and some users complained that they see some page i changed very very wrong. anyway after a refresh they see it fine. i think its because my css file got cached by them on an earlier time...why isnt the browser downloading the css file by himself on first load?..
How do I read/write a text file on another server from a web page.I get the error "Access to the path '//Server2/mydatafiles/test.txt' is denied". I do not get the error if I am running the browser on the server where the files exist.I think I need to set permissions on the destination server in some way.
I am writing a simple web page that users can upload an image file. After the file is uploaded, Users can fill up other question in the web page. then users click the submit button to register them and the file is uploaded previously is move to special folder and is saved there. Know i want to delete the uploaded file if the user upload the file but dont click the submit button and close the web page. because i dont need the file uploaded until the user is not registered.I use Session_End event but i dont know why it dont work.
I recently published my website locally and then uploaded the .aspx files to the root directory of the host server and then uploaded all of the compiled files into a new "bin" subdirectory. But, when I accessed my website through my domain name, I got an error message that said that my Default web page has not been compiled.
The service that I am using is an ASP.NET hosted server called JodoHost. But I noticed that, besides the new "bin" subdirectory that I put all of my compiled files into, there was also subdirectories named aspnet_client, cgi-bin, and images. I assume that my problem stems from not placing my compiled files into these. Is this correct? If so, what should I be placing into which directories?
