Way To Implement The PRG Design Style In A Small Site

I'm trying to figure out a logical and quick way to implement the "PRG" design style in a small site I'm doing, and I'm finding an issue I can't think of a good way to solve.I have a form. It has 2 fields (first and last name). When the user submits the form, I check to make sure that they have data in them before I save it to the database. I did try to create menues from the database. I noted that the code only allows for top level 1 and level 2 (submenu) menu items only.I modified the code and got what I wanted. Now I have issues with formatting. The subsequent menu levels (submenus) are not well formated. how i can format the menu items using CSS?Below is the modified cosde:This code seems ok.

I have asp.net web site which has master page ajax and css file....
I have change masterpage and change master page reference in each page to new masterpage name. then i open aspx page and open in design view no problem i can see new lay out colours and images, when i right click on file name and click on view on browser page open in IE but not images no styles. try on Firefox same problem.

I have a webapp with a Masterpage and 4 or so content pages. I have created a theme folder with a style sheet. I put the <pages theme="Default" in the web.config. When I run the app all the styles in the style sheet apply and it looks great. But design view does not apply the styles from my theme. Design view does not use the web.config setting or something. How do I get design view to apply the theme styles.

We got a requirement to implment following structure of table (It's a sample; data source is dynamic). Notice that there are intermediate Total (sum) values for the month. If we have the data source (Date and Amount) besides Total, which is calculated out, generate this kind of table-style layout dynamitcally?

I have an asp.net app that allows users to create personal pages which can be publicly accessed thru a "directory" page. The content of the pages is stored in sql server, so a given user's page is dynamically created thru the code that executes when the relevant link on the directory page is clicked.
I would like to take this a step further by allowing access to a given user's page directly thru the browser's address bar, something like www.thegreatestsite.com/jim (pretty much like You Tube, Facebook, etc.).
I could achieve this by manually creating a folder under the root, called "jim" and putting a default.aspx page in it which would have code in it's load event that would dynamically create jim's page.
However, I would like this "additional feature" to be created automatically, as part of the sign up process of the user.

I have the attached database design.
The database has been designed for a tradesman web site, i.e. Plumbers, Builders etc. The two main tables are tblCustomer and tblTrader which will stored data from two frontend web pages where the customer and trader can enter their personal details. After a customer enters their personal details (i.e. registers through the site) they will then be directed to a child page where they can progress to entering a specific job attached to a specific trade (i.e. Plumber) and trade type (i.e. Bathroom Installation), once a customer job has been entered I want these details to be emailed to all the trader_email addresses from tblTrader, from this email alert the traders will then enter the system and offer quotes to the customer through tblTraderQuote where the customer will then accept the best quote for them.
What I also want to implement is some sort of rating option that will allow the customer to rate their trader, either something like ebay's feedback or just a simple 1-5 rating option? How can I implement this into my database design or is this something that should be performed within the programming layer?

So i was thinking on using an image and a literal control. The questions i have is
1)Is there a better control to use than literal?I am using it because the text would have html and i must render it.
2)How i will achieve putting text beside the picture(the site uses a <strong> as i see in firebug but i cannot view the css and after that everything is simple text and some <br> )?
If i put the literal beside with <strong> and have a specific div size will the text automatically go below when reach the div limit?I'm asking because it will be html so i don't know if it(html) can surpass the main div container.

I'd like to implement a POP3-mailbox processing component for our medium-sized consumer website. Our site uses IPSwitch as the mail/smtp/pop host. This processing component would let us offer "reply to this message board discussion via email" type services. It would need to run constantly; or at the very least, every 3-5 minutes or something.
I'm pretty sure I know what I need to do to implement this POP3 reader in C#, but I'm just not sure of the mechanism that makes it happen every 3-5 minutes, keeps it running when the machine reboots, etc. Task Scheduler seems a little brittle. Should this be written instead as a Windows Service? And if so, can I get some good pointers on how to write an Installable Service in C#? Or, if there's a better plan to run a daemon on an IIS box, I'd much appreciate it.

I'm working on a public site that soon will not longer be 100% public. Paid users will be able to access 100% of the features while "anonymous" users will access a reduced version. The problem is that anonymous users and paid users will access the same pages, but they'll see different things. I wonder about how to keep using cache for all pages. I have to 100% sure that I show the correct content for each type of user. Will be extremely bad to show a cached version of the paid site to an anonymous user (and the other way around). Preferably, without adding anything to the url to differentiate user type.

The installer will be handling following features - Deploy the .net web application on to the IIS server Setting up the Sql database connection to run the DB scripts. Execute all the DB scripts. Run another exe for the license management. If some thing goes wrong, need to rollback everything. I am currently working on a document management system in ASP.NET 3.5 using the Telerik AJAX toolkit. It consists of masterpage with a title banner across the top and a RadTreeview down the left hand side for navigation through the site. The treeview uses a combination of static nodes and dynamic ones. The dynamic nodes are populated via a webservice. When a node is clicked the relevant page is navigated to, reloading the masterpage and displaying the content of the target page.
The problem comes from the fact the treeview's dynamic nodes are populated via a webservice and therefore as the user navigates through the tree to find a document the treeview behaves as you would expect. However, when you get to the bottom of a tree of dynamic nodes the navigation to the page of the navigateurl causes the relevant page to be loaded and then the treeview resets itself to a collapsed state. This means the user could be deep in a nest of documents but when they view one, the tree collapses and they have to start their navigation all over again. This limitation is not going to be acceptable from an ease of use perspective.
According to Telerik, this is the designed behaviour for performance reasons - the node only ever worries about populating the next set of nodes and therefore the treeviews state is not remembered in viewstate.
So, the meat of question is. Is the masterpage/async treeview navigation design pattern a valid one? Are there any other ways to have an ajax treeview on a masterpage, that remembers it's state when another page is navigated to? I have considered a siglepage/updatepanel/partial page rendering model but the opinions I've seen on the net infer that this is bad idea. It confuses users that expect back/forward browser behaviour to navigate through the site but in a single page world they would end up leaving the site.
I also thought that maybe using a single page container and an iframe may work but this seems to be moving away from the "standard" design pattern of using masterpages.

I have an internal corporate ASP.NET MVC website.
Requirement(1): When any person is on the network, they can access this site EXCEPT one AD Group (Example: AD_Sales group).
Requirement(2): Also like for example if a person that has the access passes a url (Ex: http://mysite/Home/Index/Product/Letter) to a sales group person, he still should NOT access and need to display a custom message saying "You are not authorised to view this page".
If the scenario is like to issue the access to one AD Group and deny access for all others, it is fairly is. It can done from IIS. I am Wondering how to do this.

My <style> for thumbnails currently looks like this:

This is annoying, because I have to apply this style to every single thumbnail image individually, when there could be any number of them on the screen at any given time. All of the thumbnails are inside a single <div> that groups them together, and I'd like to apply a single style to the <div> that will push the attributes I need down to all of the the <img> elements nested inside, regardless how many thumbnails there are.
I'm using ASP.NET 2.0, and CSS 2.0

In one of our ASP.NET Web site solutions I need to roll out an update that might take reasonable time. It spawns multiple Windows Azure Workers and projects and so simple Deployment Swap is ruled out.
Essentially I'm just thinking about way to redirect all web requests to a "site is under maintenance" page for some time, given the project is under Windows Azure.
I'm aware of the app-offline.htm trick with IIS, but I doubt that Azure Web Role will allow this one to be deployed or run (it spins down the app domain).
