Data Controls :: Split Entered In Textboxes Data Stored In A Table Using MVC With LinqToSQL
Oct 15, 2013
I have a textbox,I can enter data like this(1.20.1000),I want to split this one into 3 parts Stored in another table in 3 columns and also store same(1.20.1000) values in another table 1 column,
How can i do this perform this 2 operations at a time using MVC with LinqToSql ....
How to create a table in the code behind to display data from the database by creating a new table etc. How I could target existing HTML in my aspx file as opposed to creating a new table in the code behind?
I'm sure this has been answered many times already, but I still can't seem to find exactly how to search for this issue, so apologies in advance.
Anyway, I have a VB script for entering a row of data into a table by a web user. When this row of data is entered, I wish to take some of the values from the columns of the "primary" table, and have that data automatically create a new row of data in a "secondary" table. I think I'm part of the way there, here is my script:
[code]...
"ProductsByMfr" is the "primary" table - the table that the user adds data into when the button click event is fired.
"DealerPricing" is a "secondary" table that I wish to have some of the data from the newly-entered row in ProductsByMfr copied into. Am I even close here?
I have a repeater which is binded using a Collection of Entity Data Framework.
Once the repeater is binded using the datasource, the user can control the no of rows present in the repeater using a Dropdown list on the page. For ex: if datasource has 2 rows, user want to add 3 more rows, user selects 5 from dropdown, which adds 3 additional rows to the Repeater. I am able to do this.
The repeater has textbox controls in each row. Now once the user enter the values in this textbox of the newly generated rows, the user can save the values entered with the no of rows specified.
I have a button which is outside the repeater and on click of this i need to validate all the textbox values and save them into dB accordingly.
Here is my code
Repeater.aspx
[Code]....
[Code]....
Repeater.aspx.cs
[Code]....
Right now the problem is im not able to fetch the values of the textboxes present in the newly generated rows.

I am trying to populate a datagridview control using a stored procedure in SQL Server database. The stored procedure accepts a parameter value. The output is a select * from #temptableoutput . Since the columns of the #temptable can not be seen by VS since they do not exist yet how do I configure the datagridview control to use the yet to be "initialized" columns?I have not found any tutorials on using stored procedures to fill datagridview controls
I m trying to populate a set of 3 textboxes based on a value entered into the first textbox. So when a user enters a value in the first textbox, i would like them to be able to tab out of it and it will automatically populate the remaining textboxes.
I know javascript has the OnBlur function which can do this but is there a way to accomplish this using asp.net (c#)
Into my application there is EditAds.aspx page where the user get a link on his email after he add an Ad into my application. My inquiry is can i bind the cascading ddl to show the value of State column into Ad/product row as well if the user want to update the rest of state will be also reachable. It maybe hard to get what i am looking for exactly so i make a short screen record ...
Rebinding values of Ad/product depending on AdsID which is a query string in the page called: QADNUM
[URL] ....
if (!IsPostBack) { if (cookie["Location"] == null) { DataTable rEfilterstathpBizDT = new DataTable(); using (SqlConnection REGGfilterstathpBizCon = new SqlConnection(sc))
i need to retrieve the value entered in the textbox of each row and its corresponding Billno in the cs page i use a button and i retrieve the data in the button click event method. i have used several options like "foreach (GridViewRow row in grdcstomers.Rows)" and storing the gridview values in an array list but i am unable to retrieve the cell values or the textbox values.
I have webpage containing 3 views of multiview control. In the first view there are 3 fields Name Age Surname which will be captured in the textbox for the respective fields. In the second view i have three more fields

which will be entered in the respective textboxes and a submit button to store the data in both the views in the sql server database. I've a database table contains survey questions and answers. But the problem is both 'question' and 'answer' are saved in the same column(like below).
SubmissionDate Submission 2010-02-15 14:53:59.657 ***What's your pet's name?*** Lili ***Tell us about yourself*** I'm a teacher 2010-02-15 14:53:59.657 ***What's your pet's name?*** Lucy ***Tell us about yourself*** I'm a five star cook
I'd like to use a simple datagrid to display the survey result, but I need to separate the submission column into multiple columns ('question' as column name, 'answer' as data) the number of questions or questions being asked are different for each survey so they are not fixed. Is it even possible to get something like this below in a gridview?
SubmissionDate What's your pet's name? Tell us about yourself 2010-02-15 14:53:59.657 Lili I'm a teacher 2010-02-15 14:53:59.657 Lucy I'm a five star cook
I am using Visual Studio 2010 where I have a gridview that displays many columns and because of that the user has to scroll horizontally in order to view the rest of the columns. Is there a way to split the columns so that each row will contain some columns and some columns underneath them? For example, I have 10 columns where each row will show 5 columns with their headers and the other 5 columns below with their headers.
is there a way of putting a horrizontal split in a gridview, so say you have a client column on the left hand side, everytime the client changes there is a blank row or there is a split in the girdview?I am using c#by the way
