Then, I want to individually access the rows and perform updates to them...For example, if I just needed the first row I could go like this:

Now, I don't know how to code this, but here is pseudo what I'd like to do:

I can't use the like'%Mary%' because it can extract 'Ma' too.

Apr 5, 2010What I have below is currently working on my site to display information within an article. What I am wondering is that within a lot of stories I have more than one 'SchoolID' included. All of these IDs are in our database within the 'ArticleSchool' table and linked to an 'ArticleID.' The statement below is only displaying the first 'SchoolID' listed within an article. Is there a way I would be able to display every 'SchoolID' within an article to grab information from? Will it not work in a label if there are multiple values? The 'ArticleSchool' table has rows for every article and a new instance if more than one 'SchoolID' is attached.

Feb 3, 2011I thought this would be easy but cannot now find out of to do it. All I want to do is execute an sql query on a table and in addition to the table's columns I want to also select/output a field that is calculated within the query. The table has a column "Owner" and I want to compare this to the UserId to produce a bool column "mine". Effectively doing:Select *, (Owner=@UserId) as mine where.....however, this doesn't work so how can I calculate a column in the select statement?

Nov 18, 2010I need to get two fields from a database table (retrieved using linq-to-sql), one field is a datetime (and is a fixed field) and the other is always a decimal, but the field can be different.
The table holds currency data which is processed twice a day and in different currencies so could have fields such as AM_USD, PM_USD, AM_EUR etc. And I need to get data such as a list of the date against PM_USD or the date against AM_EUR.
I would like to be able to call the data using a lambda expression for example (this is a stripped out example):
data = TableData.Select(x=>new {x.DateTimeAdded, x.[**field name as string**]});
I have been trying to write a function to do this, and am failing dismally.
The closest I have managed is:

I see only BakimDestekDto(cause it is part of TblBakimDestek but other field isnt part of TblBakimDestek it is relation field). Why dont I see relation table field? Maybe public IList<TblBakimDestek> GetByStoreProcedure(string startDate) I use inside IList TblBakimDestek?

The Listbox has a list of students. The Gridview has a list of classes offered during a period, such as:
Math Science English etc. When I click a student in the Listbox, I call a sproc via Linq, and get the ClassID and ClassTitle that student is registered for.
What I need to do is Highlight the record in the GridView that matches the ClassID or ClassTitle returned by the sproc.
Previously, I used a ListBox for the Class Offerings. This is easy with a Listbox using the FindByText method:
