Forms Data Controls :: Displaying Multiple Values From A Specific Database Field

What I have below is currently working on my site to display information within an article. What I am wondering is that within a lot of stories I have more than one 'SchoolID' included. All of these IDs are in our database within the 'ArticleSchool' table and linked to an 'ArticleID.' The statement below is only displaying the first 'SchoolID' listed within an article. Is there a way I would be able to display every 'SchoolID' within an article to grab information from? Will it not work in a label if there are multiple values? The 'ArticleSchool' table has rows for every article and a new instance if more than one 'SchoolID' is attached.
I have a doubt regarding displaying data in gridview. I have comma separated values in a particular field in my database. Will I be able to display the comma separated values from db table in a control in the Item template field of my gridview?
To start with - I'm using VS 2008/.NET 3.5 and working in a company-provided template that leaves me restricted to some/many settings that go beyond the body of the page itself. That said, I need to create a page that will display data from individual cells in a database table that, when lined up would look like a normal sentence. Based on certain criteria I would have certain sections of the sentences hide (ex. if it contains a key phrase or if it's empty).
I've seen a method in which Labels could be used to achieve this effect, where I would assign it the grid coordinates of the cell in a table, but I could never get it to work. I've been successfully connected to the table (LINQDataSource) but still have a blank canvas without this fundamental display technique as that will be all that's in it.
How to query a SQL database with 3 field values ( From date, To date and based on a Dropdown Selection)
I use the below code:

Supportgrp.text is a Dropdown selection.I get the below error:

I have one page on which there are 6 labels and six text box for subject apart from this there are 2 to 3 other text box and label for studnt information. i want to do in such a way that if i enter student enroll no i get his/her name ,dept,sem,all subjects on 6 labels and marks related to subject in text box. In table there are fields

now when i am entering roll no in form then student name ,program, sem is fetched but in label 1 to label 6 same subject name that is 1st subject name is copied and in text box also first marks are fetched in all textboxes..my c# code on student enroll textbox is this
I have a datagrid which displays a list of user data, such as name, his or her status, age. I have created a list of rows of user data but where the column shows status for example Single, Married, i want it to create a dropdown list where i can easily change the user status by selecting it from a dropdown and clicking the update button at the top of the datagrid. The update button will update all records that have been changed not just from the dropdown. I assume the dropdownlist requires a columnbinding event but i can't find any straight forward tutorials.
I was wondering if anyone has done this. I'm writing an application which parses latitude and longitude into a database. When presenting this information to users I would like them to be able to click on a button which would show them the location in google maps.
Alternatively I could just give them the link to google maps into which they can click on and open a new browser window...
I am trying to display data from my database using FormView. However, I only want data for the currently logged in user to be queried. The database already contains the UserName for each user.
I have 5 textboxes in my webpage for entering address, i.e,

Im displaying a Gridview full of data but the column "Country" is displaying the CountryID and I want it to display the Country 'Name'", same with State/Prov and a Status column I have. Is it within the SELECT statement of the DataSource where I can need to configure using "Country" not "CountryID"or "Status" not "StatusID"?
ive have a call that pulls back an RSS feed and displays it in a label but theres stuff i dont want after the word "Fast" how do i go about parsing a label field to stop displaying anything after the word "fast".... if that makes sense

i have design a web application having suppliers table using SqlDatasource..
i have a master page in my design and other form are bound to a context menu..
Now i have displayed the records in the gridview..all i wanted is after i select a record in the gridview it will display the selected record in detailview from another aspx form..
i was able to create the link to another aspx form but the data that it display is the first data from the gridview not the data that i select.
I know how to store and retrieve images into the sql database. My question in how do I iterate over the retrieved images to convert to a byte[] array and bind to the image control in the datalist?
I have a gridview, which on the row data bound method that inserts a row when comparing values on a particular field. If the two values are different, a new row is inserted, if not no row is inserted. This coding is working as a grouping gridview, and is working correctly. However, I have problem, and problem is counting the rows between each group, which I want to display in my blank row between each group, the value of which I am holding in a hiddenfield.
When I try to do it, the first group doesn't show the result, but is displayed on the next group. I am pretty sure that I am doing something wrong. My approach is that if the value between the last row and the existing row are different, then the value is one, on the next row data bound event, if the values are the same then the value is increased by one, else the value is one because it is a new group. I am trying to bind two values "start_time" and "end_time" to a text property of a label that is inside of a gridview template field. Below is the html. I must keep the values separate so that I can pass them into a function in code beheid in order to calulate the time difference. When I bind the code below I get "The server tag is not well formed." Time is in format HH:MM AM or PM
I have a checkbox column in a Gridview that I would like to use to insert the value of one cell in the row into an access database. There will be a maximun of five cells allowed to be selected so there can be one value written to one field in the database up to the maximum of the five fields. The access database has five columns: Selection1 ,Selection2, Selection3 ,Selection4 and Selection5
When the checkbox is checked, the value of one cell (PliD) should be written to each field in the database. Ie: checkbox in row 1 should write PliD value to Selection1, checkbox in row 2 should write PliD value to Selection2, checkbox in row 3 should write PliD value to Selection3 and on depending on which checkbox has been checked. I am not sure how to get the value of the checkbox and write it into the corresponding fields in the database.
how to display images from a database cant cant seem to find quite what im looking for.
I have a site that allows users to upload their own photos, i would like to be able to display these images, with the discription of the photo underneath or on top of the photo, on the website and allow other users to comment on the photos.
The display can be every photo in the database, later ill impliment a search to narrow it by user later.
Right now I have my database table set up to take the img path, username that uploaded the picture, time it was uploaded, and a description of the photo.
