AJAX :: GridView Inside A ModalPopUp / Work On The Grid Without The Pop Up Closing Everytime?

I have a GridView inside a ModalPopUpExtender and would like to know how I can ensure that I can work on the grid without the pop up closing everytime i click on say 'edit' or 'delete' on the grid items.
At the minute my pop up is working great, then i click on 'edit' on a row in the grid and it the pop up closes, I then click the button to fire up the pop up again and the grid is in the mode i wanted it to be in!

although I've searched already, but here is the thing:I have a ModalPopup wich have a Textbox, a Button and a GridView inside. The Gridview is binded to a SQLDatasource object, and the Select query is something like "SELECT field_1, field_2, field_3, field_4 FROM Table_Name WHERE field_1 LIKE '%@Parameter_2%'".This ModalPopup is used (or gonna be used) to search for a field, so the parameters received by the Query is the text inside the Textbox, I've linked thid inside the SQLDataSource Wizard.The problem is that everything works perfectly fine... inside the panel WITHOUT the ModalPopup Extender, but whe I add the Extender the filter function doesn't work.Here is my code:

Notes: I have a ScriptManager inside the MasterPage, so I don't have to insert one in every page. Also I've tested the code in a new page (the one I use for testing), and it works fine, it filters and everything, the problem is when I add a ModalPopup to the panel.

I have a page.. which im trying to implement a gridview that allows you to select from it, it will open a modalpopup with a list of records linked to the selection.. now within that popup, you can pick a individual record so you can see full details..So my question is, can you have multiple modalpopup's open at the same time? If not then is there anyway to reopen the first popup with the list again so that you can pick another record

I have a simple example of a ModalPopup with a panel that appears in the center of the ModalPopup and a couple of buttons in that panel. One of the buttons is a cancel and the other is an OK button. No matter how many other buttons that I add each one closes the ModalPopup. I need to keep the ModalPopup open so that I can run a few calculations then click a close button.

I have a linkbutton 'Forgot Password?' in my login page. On click of the link button a modal popup will open . In that user has to give his username.
If the username doesnot exists i want to show an alert 'Usename doesnot ' exists.
Since the checking for the existenance of the username is on click of the button submit which is inside the modal popup, i can show the alert using the code
Page.ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(...) . But I want something different
I want to call the javascript function after the maodal popup extender is closed

I'm using the ModalPopupExtender control from the AJAX toolkit. This control extends a panel which contains a CreateUserWizard control. However, the validation of the CreateUserWizard control causes a postback to the server, which closes the popup. I'd like the popup to remain open, even after the postback.

The problem is accordion's showed on the page, but doesn't works. I try use code of all examples, but the problem is the same for all of them. I don't understand what to do, because the code is the same as in the tutorials. When I click on the pane it doesn't changing/closing/opening. What can it be?

Altough questions somehow similar to this have been asked for a number of times, but the question is still unsolved. Here is the question: I have a gridview which is contained in a tab container ajax control which itself is inside an updatepanel. Gridview works excellent and its corresponding methods are fired accurately, but when I enable paging, (e.g.) after I click on page 2, the gridview hides itself. here is my PageIndexChanging method:

I have a GridView that is inside a Web User Control, that is inside an ASPX Page, that is wrapped by the Master Page.
Inside a GridView, I have a template field with DateTime type that has a TextBox inside EditTemplate. I extended this TextBox with CalendarExtender and it works ok in Internet Explorer.
I also have a DetailsView control on the same WebControl that I use to Insert new enrty. InsertTemplate for this field is the same as in GridView (Textbox with Calendar extender).
The problem occures when i click on the Edit link (or try click on the link that displays DetailsView in Insert mode for adding new entry) in any other browser: Chrome, Firefox, Opera.
The problem itself is that the calendar extender does not get poped out. I have a UpdateProgress Control on an ASPX page, that thie control is loaded into, that shows loading image while page is being posted back asynchronously.
In internet explorer the loading image is shown for jst a moment and then dissapears. Calendar extenders works perfectly.
As for the other browsers, the loader does not dissapear and none of ths postback links are working, as if it was waiting for the previous postback event or something else to finish. Finally I have to reload the page to get to the inicial stage or click a direct URL link to get somewhere else.

have a asp:linkbutton (ID="btn_1") nested inside a modalpopup, the page wont compile as per error: cannot find ID="btn_1", if I place link button outside modal all is good. Im guessing this a find control issue

Modal popup is inside the update panel. I have a dropdown control inside modal popup. When i select the data in the dropdown and click ok on the modal popup it always shows the dropdown selectedvalue as first index no matter what i select .

 I am sending you the code. It Has two PArts First is CLIENT SECTION and Anpother is STATION Section
1) CLIENT SECTION : It has a dropdownlist binded to SQLDataSource and with this it has an imagebutton bAddClient
bAddClient will open the ModalPopup which will ask user to Add new client. And After Adding the New client when User
will close the ModalPopup MY DropDownList is not getting Populated with the New Client. I have Used UpdatePanels Also
2) STATION SECTION : It has a DropDownList, an Image BUtton , And Grid View. In Grid View it shows station detailsÂ
On particular client selcted above.
I have given the delete station command on deleting the station that particular entry doesnot goes away.Â
It Should not be visible after it get deleted
Now when i click on imagebutton a modalpopup will open.Â
Now In modalpopup i have given dropdownlist , image button(to add new station), Some station Info and save button
Now when i click on dropdownlist it used to close the modalpopup then i seet the autopostback = false. Then it works fine. Is it correct way?
Now when i click on imagebutton it asks user to add new station with a textbox , save station button. When users click on savestation button then it adds station to the DB and it should update the dropDownList of ModalPoup without closing it.
But when I am clicking on imagebutton it is closing the modalpoup.
And When user clicks on ModalPoup SSave Button in end it should update GridView of STATAION SECTION too.

I searched throughout the forums and couldn't find an answer. Anyway, I have a modal popup extender which contains a Gridview. The gridview is used to return results from a search function also inside the modal popup. Everything is fine as long as I do a search that returns a few results, but when I do a search that returns a huge number, the modal panel stretches out. What I want to do is keep the modal window at a fixed size and use scroll bars to allow users to navigate the panel.

I have an web application with a masterpage, a modalPopupExtender to insert new records, and and updatePanel with a gridview inside, which I have modified the edit and delete buttons into a templateField to allow the use of a confirmButtonExtender.The problem is that I cannot edit (you click on the edit button, you modify the record, but I cannot confirm the edit).But, if I show the modalPopup (it doesn't matter if I insert a new record or not), the, the edit works, anyone knows what could be?

I am using a modal popup extender to show a popup window. It it, I have a GridView with editable fields in each row. When I click Submit and handle the click event, the GridView's cells' texts are empty, though other controls, e.g. textboxes contain entered values. why the GridView loses its values?

I have a gridview which I load with data on click of a button. For some reason the paging did not work. The paging number shows up but clicking on page # 2, 3 or 4 does not take you anywhere. the grid just disappears on clicking them. right after that when i click the button to generate the grid, the grid came up this time the gird is on page 2 or 3 instead of 1. I have a page that has a few requirements1. A Gridview that is dynamically populated (and refreshed at a regular interval) with a button control that is conditionally displayed 2. The button control should show a ModalPopup of a Panel that serves as a form 3. This Panel form contains a textbox populated with a value from the gridview and another dropdown control I can get 2 of these 3 requirements via a couple of different approaches (like 1+2 work, but 3 fails or 2 +3 work but 1 fails).The code pasted below is the closest I have gotten, and is actually my preferred method, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me why the ModalPopupTextBox1 is not rendered when ModalPopup button is clicked.If I place the Gridview1 outside of UpdatePanel1 (refresh controlled by Timer1), the ModalPopup Panel works as expectedMarkup: GridUpdate.aspx
