AJAX :: How To Clear ModalPopupExtender Contents With Javascript
Aug 10, 2010
I have a modalPopupExtender which I activate using the showPopup script that is shown below:
[Code]....
I use another script that does a webservice call and fills the popup with the results using innerHTML. The showPopup and webservice function are called at the same time and the modal pops up and is filled with the results from the web service
I use clrPopup function to to try and clear and then close the popup. I want to clear the contents of the div before it's closed. Why doesnt the clrPopup() function above NOT seem to be working? The popup closes but if I open it with a standard asp linkbutton (the one that the modal is actually hooked to) instead of a using the javascript link which I wrote, then the contents from the webservice call are still there...like $find('MainContent_ModalPopupExtender1').innerHTML = 'Fred Flinstone'; was never successful?
I have an HTML Editor in a modal popup triggered by a link on a detail page. The Editor can be used multile times in the same session. If a user adds content and then saves it all is ok. If he the selects to add more content the text from the previous attempt appears in the editor.
I have a ModalPopupExtender in markup. When I try to attach to it in javascript using getElementById('ModalPopupExtender1') it doesnt work. So when I viewsource code it on shows up as a function. Why?
I have a requirement, where-in once a file is upoaded using the AsyncFileUpload control, I want the name of the uploaded file to be removed from the AsyncFileUpload control and it should show blank (as it was when the page was first loaded). Also, the control should allow uploading the same file immediately after the first upload is complete(assuming that the user deciedes to update the file after the first upload and wants to immediately upload the updated version of the file).
I have a complex page which has a series of panels and buttons.
one of those buttons pulls up an a wizard control.
the user does not need to go to the finsih button of the wizard if they wish to cancel the wizard.
What I want to do is to clear the values of a wizard as it is being called by a button click.
Uncle google tells me a solution is to use a URL redirect to effectively reload the page into memory. This would also destroy the view state of my page for the nonwizard controls which I dont want to do.
I cant put the wizard into an Iframe (company policy) so I cant just reload the iframe.
I dont want to go step by step and control by control to clear the values - Also the wizard is not using databinding.
I have a panel extended by the ModalPopupExtender that is sometimes shown using the .Show() method in my code-behind. I have a javascript function that resizes the popup and am able to get it to run when I use the client-side show function but how do I run the same javascript function when using the server-side Show() function?
How to implement print functionality inside Ajax Modal pop up? I have a Ajax Modal pop up in one of the Web page. Inside modal pop up I have a "print" button. when I click on print to print the contents of Modal pop up, print window does not appear.
I would really appreciate if someone can find out what's wrong with this code.
Here is my question. I have textboxes in a modal popup extender (City, state, zip) and there is an image button search for searching the address from the database. All this functionality is within a control (.ascx file). This control is added to the page where it needs to be displayed and is being displayed when a user click the Address button (the code for it is not shown here). The method ShowAddressSearch() in the control is being called from the page and it displays the popup.
When the user enters any of the 3 values and hits search a server event is fired up and the result should be displayed in a grid. What is happening is, when the user hits the search button the server call is made and the data fetched from the db but the modal popup closes itself here is the code for this. I would really appreciate if someone can find out where and how popup is getting closed.
I have a modal popup extender with one control (ascx) this control has a label that on onclic method call other popup extender.
It's has other ascx, it's has a button for a search. When I do Click in this button in first time, the event click not fired and there are a javascript error that say "this._activeDRagVisual is null reference".
In the other hand, If a use de second popup inside an asp page the event and control work correctly. The problem is with the popup inside popup.

For some reason it seems as though variables that I declare in javascript sometimes persist themselves across applications even when I do a response.redirect. I thought that a response.redirect would clear them out.
