I am working on a project in .NET (C#), connected with a database. And I am entering values in database through 'text-box' control, for a part of the project. What I want is to check if the user entering value already exsists in the database and if so, shows error during that time only.
I have searched for any familiar post here, that could solve my query, but didn't get any.
my EXACT objective(if not cleared earlier):-
when the user enter the value in

database should occur. And if found,

I want to generate 30,000 cards and each card must be duplicate check with database. In my card, there are 2 things. Serial No and CardID. If any card already exists then I generate another card id but with the same serial no.
So how faster way I can generate 30,000 card with duplicate check? Which one I have made application, it takes about 25 minutes to insert.
I have a gridview with delete buttons for each record (I've used AccessDataSource). I have loaded the data in and have many duplicate records.

What is the query to delete single duplicate record instead of deleting all duplicate records?
I am throwing a alert box using scriptmanager like this based on some condition.
ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock(this, this.GetType(), "alertMessage", "alert('Would you like to be put on the wait list?')", true);
But it has only "ok" button. Is there a way to display a message box which has yes/no buttons so that I want to check some more conditions in the code behind.

I'm using google maps in my site with markers.
When a marker is clicked, I'd like to display a popup.
this is easy, my problem is that the popup needs to be updated from the database before and the popup has some links that should be inside an UpdatePanel to avoid refresh.
I can use the marker function to display a popup (with a given html) how to get the html with the updatepanel .
I thougt about using the ajax popup control but I don't know how to position it on the marker.
In my ASP.net application i used AJAX Collapsible Panel, its working fine on my local system but after publishing and deploying on win2003 server, panel is in expand mode and dont show animation on click and also on that web form asp menu is not showing submenus. It all happens on clients machines. On server it still somehow showing some animation.

I am populating an Accordion control using DataBinding and Header/ContentTemplates.
Unfortunately the control generates duplicate div-IDs for its children (header and content) which makes the HTML markup W3C invalid (and hard to distinct by JavaScript).
I can't manually change the ContentIDs in the OnDataBinding event because the ContentPanes are populated with nested DataBinding.
