Accessing Datagrid Cell In A Javascript?

Datagrid is in content,When trying to access client side function for the cells in the datagrid,its always showing at 0 position suppose i have 10 rows,for each row "Test button" i should invoke the client side java script. For each row "Test button" client side script is displaying message at first row only.
in datagrid i am binding the description and button to every row in datagrid
so i have added Testbutton.attributes.add("onclick","return javascriptfunction();"); in datagrid_itembound.Iam showing one div in client side function but that is working only for one row,when iam trying to click test button in second row,itsshowing that div in first row instead of second row
i want similar functunality like displaying of flag button in stackoverflow.

I just wrote an application level err handler for my website. The errors are saved in sql server. Now I download the info back into a datagrid and on the selectedrow changed I put the stacktrace and other big fields in textboxes like so :

However the text is now formatted like this :
txtSearchClient = ""
instead of :
txtSearchClient = "";
I've confirmed that the text is in the right format in SQL server but I cna't find a way to deencode it.

I have <span> tags in the cells of my datagrid which determine which background color to use. I also want the user to be able to click any cell and highlight the entire row. This works anywhere there's not a span tag. The span tag is somehow canceling this out. What would you do so that fields inside a span tag act like regular fields where you can click on them and the entire row is highlighted?

I have gridview, and in this gridview, I insert a new row dynamically depending upon a value from the database all the way down the table. Even though this is all working well, I need to access a number of controls that I added to the inserted row. Namely, a checkbox and label. When I try to access these controls, I am getting an error message - object not set to reference. Then I tried saying "Gridview1.Rows[rowIndexVal].Cells[1].Text = myTextVal", but what this does is to insert the value on a different row.
Therefore, I have two problems, which I am really desparate to try and solve:How do I access the correct row and control that I have added to my inserted row, andBecause I have a checkbox control on my inserted row, which has an event associated with it, how do I get the selected row the user clicked. When I try doing this using FindControl, I always get a row index of zero.I am using Table object and TableCell to add a new row dynamically to the gridview, and then using ColumnSpan to make it fit the number of columns in the gridview.

I put a link on a datagrid that when loaded is attacehd to a url from the DB. Well when the Db holds nothing for that URl I need to be able to redirect to antoher page. Here is what I have so far. But It does not work, still using asp.net 1.1. Am i doing this correct or is there a different way.

am trying to use a stored procedure for the Delete Command, I don't see how to set the parameter values to link to the grid values.When using text command, I would just use "WHERE Row_ID = @Row_ID" (Row_ID being the first column of the grid, and the primary key of the table.)How do I do this using a strored procedure?

I have a datagrid, I want to merging cell. I want my datagrid look like this

I want to merge the cell programmitically when ItemDataBound.
1,2,3,...,31 are material date request. If I request Material B with quantity 4500 from 2nd until 4th the cell will be merge.
I already read about Merge Cell in Gridview in this forum, but this solution is different with datagrid.

In my application Iam using GridView, in this there are fields (Quantity, Price, Amount) the user can enter Quantity Field value which is a template field (textbox). Iam calculating Amount(Quantity * Price) using Javascript and assigning to the Amount Column cells as below
Gridviewcell.innerText=Quanity * price.
and when user clicks on the Save button I want to add these details of Gridview to the database.
when I try to access the values of the gridview using below code
For i=0 to GridView.rows.count-1
GridView.Rows(i).Cells(2).toString ( for Example)

It is not displaying the changed value instead it is displaying the default value before calculating the amount.
Before implementing the Javascript part, I had done this in the code behind and it was working fine... Now I just dont want the page to get load so I used javascript.

I was using the VisualTreeHelper trying to locate a textBlock inside the datagrid columnHeaders. I have just learnt that : "The Header object of the DataGridColumn is actually the visible header of that column, whatever you set it to be. DataGridColumn is not part of the Visual Tree so there is not direct way to access the DataGridColumnHeader for it (we can't even be sure it exists yet)... " This has set me back by a couple of days. I tried to convert the suggested code to vb.net in order to use it but I don't seem to get it right. The code in c# is :

i have a gridview witch contain 4 databound columns and 2 templated column. in one of template column i placed a dropdownlist(witch contain number of items). and 2nd column of gridview contains prices. so in last column i want that when i select value in dropdownlist that value should multiply with 2nd column's value of datagrid and place result in last column of gridview using java script.

Okay, I have developed VB.NET winforms applications and I understand that working with ASP.NET would be similar. However, this seems way complicated then I thought. Basically, i am working on accessing one table data from a database and populating data in a datagrid. I have few text boxes on the display page and if a user clicks on submit button i want a new set of data with new select statement based on user input.
I don't quite understand how the textbox value can be passed on the same page and a new select statement is generated, which then populates the datagrid.

I have a single entry master with country name in a gridview . I have to edit the data in a grid view in asp.net c#. I want to validate the textbox inside edit template to see if the user enters invalid characters. I want to validate that using simple javascript code.
I tried [a-zA_Z] in regular expression validator...it is causing slow down in my app. so i am prefering JS.
I tried to get the value of client id using row data bound event in c# but it is interrupting the work flow of the program. :(
