DataSource Controls :: Web Application Crashing Due To Heavy Data?

In my application i am getting data fROM sql server 2008.It is coming from collection of nearly 12 tables. I have to fillter this data in my application and of fillter data i have to write Xml.
my problem is that to fillter i need to that retrieve data to hold in my application and to achieve this i am using the help of dataset and datatable.But most of time when i am running application ,my application getting hang and very slow OR getting crashes.

I have set executionTimeout in web.config to 3600 (which I found out that the scripttimeout will follow this value), and in the production server, I have set debug=false, session time out = 20 min. sql command time out = 1200 seconds
However, when the application is performing heavy sql task that exceed 90seconds, I got the 'Page Could Not be Displayed' error.
When I change debug=true, the application works fine. The application also works fine when I turn off the 'Show HTTP friendly message'.

I am trying to find the best way to have a page with a lot of data from queries to a database load faster. Looking at [URL], when viewing information about a domain, I see that their page loads and each section has a loading symbol, so the page itself displays fast and the data comes when it is available. How do they do this? Update panels around each section with a call to a Web Service? Also, Google AdWords seems to do this too when you load the Ads or Keywords tabs of a Campaign.

From time to time my application crashes and I start getting all sorts of weird errors like "object reference not set to an instance of an object", that then turns to "failed to enable constraints..", etc. Sometimes then the application starts to work again properly by itself, and sometimes not until I restart IIS, after which everything is ok again.

but i have a problem to retrieve value from the database in the textbox using 3-tier application. ]
in the App_data i have following folder.
1> employeeBAL in this i have 1class file called empbasicinfoBLL.cs
2> employeeDAL in this i have test_data.xsd
in the basic details folder i have one page Basic information(employee basic info) in this i want that when user will log in the site [using username and password] after successful login when user will click on the Basic information then he will able to see his [name, employee no, first name, last name] etc on the page [i don't want to use grid-view to retrieve the details becoz i am using the table in this i am using Lable and Textbox for each] and this data should come from the EmployeeBAL.

I would like to write an MVC application that accesses multiple data stores (SQL Server, MySQL, Cloud based, etc.).Most of the examples I see use LINQ to SQL for their data access but I read somewhere that LINQ only supports SQL Server - it may have been an old post.I was wondering what the best way to access these different data stores would be. Can I use the Data Access Application Block from MVC to access these data stores?

I have been asked to design & develop a page in asp.net which contains 7 tabs. Each table contains 2 Editable gridview & clicking on gridview cell should open a popup & that popup will open a new popup ( I would say nested popup). Even when I switch from one tab to another. It should hold the griddata & whenever user will finish all the operations he/she will click on save button which will save all the data contained in the tabs. The page is really too heavy. It will definitely take a long time to load as it contains gridview operations, popup related jobs, tab data & tab switching. I am finding the best way I can achieve this with an acceptable speed of operation.

I've been using MVC since the previews of 1.0 and I think I know what I'm doing, but for the life of me I can not figure out why sometimes when I use RedirectToAction it crashes saying there is no route available. Consider this in MVC 2.0:
I'm registering on my site and I first hit the SiteController, which does its magic then I am to be redirected to my new dashboard, controlled by the... DashboardController. I never make it there. I specify the action and the controller in the redirect call, but it still crashes and burns. The only thing I can possible think of is because the DashboardController is its own area, but that still doesn't help me because by my understanding it should still work regardless.

I can't see anything about this in the forum, yet it's a problem I have both on my VPS demo box and on some live boxes too:
When I deploy anything requiring a re-compile (e.g. not just an aspx.cs, but a .cs file) about once in every three times, IIS crashes.
This then requires not just a restart of IIS, but a reboot of the entire server, to bring it back again. If I try to restart just IIS, it won't actually "stop", so it won't then start again.
I therefore try to only deploy updates late at night, but in urgent situations a problem which needs rectifying can be made much worse by an additional 5 minutes of hard downtime while the box reboots. I can't predict when this will happen, but now warn all my clients against any updates during "office hours".
Is this a known bug/fault - can I get around this, preferably not by using RDP and stopping IIS completely before I FTP the files across?
Both boxes are 32 bit Windows Web Server.

I am developing a a web application of a general store where the operator has to enter the things what customer has purchased. Like daily usage item,or anything. So I have form in which I first ask how much item u wannt to register...(if he has 20-30 number of items then operator will enter 20-30 then in gridview 20-30 item are opened. With bind dropdownbox containing name of item ,then textboxs containing mrp, value, stock avail of that item. Here is the link for demo. [URL]. I developed a webapp which is working great in IE8, and newer versions of Safari, Opera, Firefox and Chrome. I've noticed that there are many things wrong with the page in IE7. Resizing isn't working properly, margins aren't being set correctly. Floating within a cleared div isn't working property. My unordered lists with a display:inline are not displaying correctly.I'm just not sure where to start with this. I feel like i need to be supporting IE 7. i have 2 problems with running&debugging my web projects using visual studio 2008 pro :
1.when choosing to run without debugging , IE is being opened (which is ok , since i chose it to be the default one to be opened via VS ) , and yet when i close IE , it is being opened once again .
2.when choosing to debug , visual studio crashes and IE is being frozen (can only be killed via task manager) ,even when i don't have the "debugger;" string in the javascript code.
i've tried to re-install VS , and also uninstall it and then re-install it, but it didn't help. i have windows xp sp3 home edition 32bit. what should i do? EDIT:about #1 , it seems that from some reason, VS didn't install "Microsoft Visual Studio Web Authoring Component" , and this is also why i had another problem of not being able to use the design/split mode . after installing this component, it seems that IE doesn't run twice anymore. however, i still have crashes of VS when trying to debug (problem #2) ,even thogh script debugging is enabled on IE. the weird thing is that on maxthon2 , which uses IE engine, debugging works just fine.

When I open my web page with my RadEditor version 7.3.6.0 on it to create a new using the editor I get a popup warning on the page.
Soon after this while using Rad Editor I get a message in IE8 (Version 8.0.6001.18702IS) saying the page has been recovered and I have lost all of my edits.
This is also happening to other people, my customers, when they use the same page on their IE browser.

I need to trigger a Console App (exe) file from a asp.net webforms page. Obviously the main issue is permissions, and for now I'm just trying to get this working by letting the asp.net service impersonate the main Administrator account. Once I can get it working in a stable fashion, I'll set up it's own user and permissions. For now I would really appreciate assistance in getting this working.

Also, the EXE can be launched directly on the server via RDC and it runs just fine.I've wasted almost 2 days trying to get this to work, and at this point I'm desperate for some experienced input on this job. I'd even be willing to throw in $50 as a thankyou gift to whoever has the solution.

In my website for one project we have 5000+ records in sql database. If I give page size is 100 for gridview then the paze size showing 800kb in firebug net panel and it is taking 20-30 seconds to load webpage. If I give page size is 10 for gridview then the paze size showing 160kb in firebug net panel and it is taking 5-6 seconds to load webpage. If I give page size is 5for gridview then the paze size showing 130kb in firebug net panel and it is taking less than 6 seconds to load webpage. I noticed that due to heavy paze size the performance decreasing but as per my requirent the paze size should be 100 or above and the page should be load less than 2 seconds.
Note: I am using Ajax Update panels

I'm trying to use BLL and DAL in my asp.net web application in vs2008. But I have lots of problems doing it. My application cant find clasess from BLL, also when I changed build action of my classes into 'compile' my bll classes cant see Table Adapters from DAL. I dont know where is the problem. Does it mean I can use this solution just for web site projects?
