i have a gridview control i added checkbox contrl dynamically but i am not getiing the reference of checkbox in button clilck event here is my code Gridvew
I work in VS 2008. Whenver I add a server control(Label) and set it properties in aspx.vb and build the solution, I get the error "Label1 not declared". While analyzing this issue I noticed that the event handler statements for the Label1 where not added in the designer.asp.vb file. These statement would actually be added automatically when I drag and drop a control to my webpage.
I would also like to inform the scenario after which this problem came to me. I was working in VS 2008 , VS 2005 and VS 2003 in the same machine.Could this have caused the issue ?
Now each and everytime when I add a control, I am adding the "With Events" code in the designer page to make my build succesfull which makes me to spend more efforts.
public void btnAddContact_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { IList<CustomerContactProfile> customerContacts = new List<CustomerContactProfile>(); if (ViewState["CustomerContactList"] != null) customerContacts = (List<CustomerContactProfile>)ViewState["CustomerContactList"]; CustomerContactProfile contactProfile = (CustomerContactProfile)LoadControl("~/Controls/Embedded/CustomerContactProfile.ascx"); customerContacts.Add(contactProfile); foreach (CustomerContactProfile contact in customerContacts) phCustomerContacts.Controls.Add(contact); ViewState["CustomerContactList"] = customerContacts; }
This code doesn't work because the ViewState can't handle storing all of that control data. However, I cannot think of another way to store the controls that were already added.
The viewstate of the asp:PlaceHolder control doesn't save anything and I need the controls to be saved so that if a user puts in some data to the first control that the data isn't lost when they add a second one and so on.
Is there a way to add asp.net server side control dynamically on the webpage without causing postback. Like can I add a calender control dynamically on a button click and handle calender events to do some other work....
I have a usercontrol that uses a callback to update itself. If I add the control to the aspx page everything works fine. However, when i add the control using Page.LoadControl and Control.Add on a Placeholder i get the following error: "The target 'ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$ctl00' for the callback could not be found or did not implement ICallbackEventHandler". I tryed assigning the ID of the control also which failed with the same error. I am using asp.net 2.0.
Here is what I am trying to do. I have a page with two link buttons and an updatepanel (the two linkbuttons trigger the updatepanel). I have two usercontrols which have labels with same ID's. When I click the first link button, I add the first usercontrol to the updatepanel and set the label value to datetime.now
when i click the second link button i add the second usercontrol but i see that the value of the label from the first control is set in the label in second user control. if the id's are different there is no problem - but in my case the usercontrols are being developed by different teams and I am integrating them in the way i mentioned - so they may have same ids.
I am stuck in chart controls...Here is my prob... There is a ListBox containing some items...when user selects multiple items from the list box I want to generate a dynamic table with the number of columns same as that of the number items selected in the listbox. And for each selected item I want to show a seperate chart in the columns...Currently I want the same chart control for every selected item (i.e. a static hard coded chart that i will replace later by dynamic values)....I am using a method that draws a chart control using a sample dataset... I am calling it each time when a new column is created..Also the DrawChart method executes for the first column only and throws an index out of range exception! after the first execution...my code is not working...here
I have an xsd that describes XHTML documents. However the application I'm working with may have some selected asp.net controls within to the markup at the point is validated. Therefore the validation fails.
An example control could be:
<smart:Address runat="server" />
I wanted to add a new element to the xsd file but when I specify:
<xs:element name="smart:Address">
I get validation errors as an element name must not have a colon in it.
how I might be able to extend the schema file to allow selected server controls?
I want to add picture to my SQL database using file Upload control but I don't know which attribute should I use also I don't know how to add it in the stored procedure,
I have a fileupload control.I'm selecting a image using the control and saving it in the database.In the edit mode,I need to assign the path of the image in the textbox of the file upload control.Is it possible ?
I was wondering does anyone know how to save a file to the sever without using a fileupload? What I have is a file that is dynamically created as a .CSV file. Here's that part of the code:
[Code]....
How can I save that to the server instead of poping up a Save/Open dialog box?
I created an asp.net Server control that derives from a LinkButton, and renders a small javascript function to the page. I want to use this control many times on the page, but just want the javascript to be rendered once on the page. On the other hand, I rather not manually add it in a js file, because i don't want to have a chance of forgetting to add the js file in the future.
so I avoid creating Server Controls like the plague, but I need one.
I have a Render method that creates a lot of divs. I use an animation extender to show and hide the divs within the server control.
But when adding the animation extender it tells me the control used for TargetControlID doesn't exist. How can I get the code for the animations to insert after the control has been rendered?
I have a tab control on my page and on click of tab user control is loaded dynamically.I need to load the javascript file of that user control dynamically. I don't want to add the reference of my js file on parent page.so in my .ascx page load event i added:
The built in Asp.Net Controls (label, Textbox, etc.) all have a CssClass property that can be set, what do I need to do to implement that for a Web User Control?
I know how to add a property and pass thru the get & set to the corresponding Asp.Net control (example if I have a label I know how to create a LabelCssClass property that provides a get & set, but the control itself how do I set a CssClass or ClassName property.
