Forms Data Controls :: Focussing The Textbox After Each Operation In Grid?

i have a textbox , an 'add' button a gridview . All these are in an upadate panel. Using the 'Add' button i am adding the value in textbox into the grid . My gridview is having a button to edit and delete the details. On clicking the edit button i am showing the value in the selected row into the textbox and the on clicking the add button i am updating the details and again bind the grid. On clicking the delete button in gridview row i am deleting the value in the current row and bind the grid again.Everything is working fine but i want to set the focus to textbox after each operation. If iuse the following statement in corresponding operation it is causing the refresh of the update panel. I am not including the statement it will not cause a refresh .

I have a GridView that checks to see who is online and then displays their profile information in it. I want to hide this from view and instead show textboxes containing the data from the Gridview and display it in the text boxes.
Then if a user changes the data and clicks submit the data will be updated. Now I am using a GridView over a form view as if I use the form view I get an error when it trys to check the GUID.

I have used the gridview in 3.5 framework to dispaly a report ,In grid view i have used an Image button as Edit,While clicking on that Edit Button The row data fields in gridview likename ,Address etc have to populate in the Textboxes (Not in the Grid view row I am giving entry form in the same page )all the textboxes must be in editable mode

I have a gridview with a column of text boxes bound to a value from a database. I should be able to edit the values in each of the text boxes and just print those new values(dont have to update into the database). But my method returns only the old values, not the new values entered into the text boxes.

I have a small problem, I have created a kind of "Register Form" to insert data into a database.The Textboxes in this form have coded operations on TextChanged(object sender, EventArgs e).So for instance, if one textbox receives "1" and the next one "2" the third textbox automatically sets its text to "3". Because it has a sum operation receveing the input from the other 2 textboxes. This is working quiet well, the thing is that this registerform is made to be filled as fast as possible.When I input some value and then click "TAB" to change to the next Textbox the operationg happens and the typing returns to the first Textbox, I don't know if you can understand me.

Have a GridView with a templated select button hidden and using
e.Row.Attributes.Add("onclick",Page.ClientScript.GetPostBackEventReference(this.grdMaster, "Select$" + e.Row.RowIndex.ToString())); to select a row .
When user like to update the datasource he will select one row from gridview then in selected indexchanged event i would display the selected row values beneath the form under the grid , Then user will update the contents displayed from grid and click an update button which is outside the grid . After updating the displayed row , i got to get the values of the next row in the grid and display them for next updation , i'e if users maually selects row 3 from grid then he can update the values using the update button and then on update click itself i'll have to display next row contents of row 4 and this process could go on .

I have Parent/Child Grid (also called Nested Grids).
Parent Grid (PG) :: PG has two template fields. 1st template field has "Category ID" and 2nd template has Child Grid
Child Grid (CG) :: CG is populated in PG's RowDataBund event based on "Category ID". In CG's DataBound event, I am doing something which I need to display in CG's footer row.
Problem :: In the footer row of each CG, I have to show the "Category ID" which is in PG' row. How can I get hold of the PG's row which hascurrent nested grid (there will 'n' child grids, one for each 'Category ID' in the PG ) so I can read the "Category ID"
I was thinking if I could do something (DataBound event of CG) like this..

I'm using ASP.NET/VB and am wanting to nest a grid inside of another grid. I've seen them but am unsure how to make them work. I have a Orders table with an OrderID and it is linked to a Orders_Detail table. I would like to be able to select the order and see the details. I've done it differently with 2 grids outside of each other, but this isn't the solution I need.

I have two textBox, one button and one gridview. In one texbox, I enter a value, click the button to add this entry to the gridview and the footer is computing the sum as i add more entries to the gridview.
I also have a textbox outside the gridview that will hold an amount, now I want to perform an operation like...(txtOutsideGridview - gridviewEntry1 - gridviewEntry2), and display the result of this operation inside the footer of the gridview, instead of the sum. How do I go about doing this?
So far all I have been able to do is sum up the total of entries within the Gridview, but that is not my desired operation...here is what my current code looks like
