How To Access In Server Side AspxGridView Combobox Selected Value
Jan 7, 2011
I want to access selected value of GridViewDataComboBoxColumn in server side at GridViewUpdated event. Do you have any idea about how can it be?Here is columns of AspxGridView
I have a requirement of adding server side variables in client side and other way round. Because I need to set a value from client side using javascript and access the same in code behind page.
Both of which give me runtime errors when the event is fired.Whats the correct way to access this text property client side?I tried this but it does not enable the checkbox...
Well, along with having to use == rather than .Equals, when you set a checkbox.enabled = false on the server side it raps the checkbox in tags and sets it to disabled=true; therefore you must set BOTH the checkbox.disabled = false and checkbox.parentElement.disabled = false; on the client side to enable the checkbox! The solution:
I am applying a field validator on a listbox which works when no item is selected in the textbox and some(most often the submit button) control is made to postback to the server. Now the problem is that if a person has entered the page and want to logout it still gives the same exception messages(which it should) rather than logging out of the page.I am using ASP.NET with c# as back-end.I want the the logout button(rather all except the submit button) to function prior to the validation
i am using a div in the top of the master page which have the controls for login. When the user succesfully login to the application the visibility of the div should be hidden. can i achieve this is in server side.
I am building 2 WCF projects. On is server side and the other is AJAX (you can see here the ultimate trouble you have to go through to make it work in another domain: URL....
As we may give the website to an outside developer group I want to be able to have a small log function that will go through server side (because i don't know if the dev's will jst put the user - pass in javascript if they have the option) and write a cookie with a 10 minutes enabled pass and everything else will be in Ajax - Javascript.
To do so I need to have WCF on both forms server WCF web.config and AJAX WCF web.config. (also note that Global_asax is taking place and it may interfere). Can it be blend in web.config somehow. Maybe breaking the web config in multiple pages?
Is it possible to either access the properties, such as 'url', of a embedded media player object server side to change them? Or possibly dynamically create a new media player object with a different 'url' each time?
I am trying to change the property based off of a selectedindexchanging event of a gridview object.
I am having a lot of trouble with a seemingly simple thing. In an ASP.NET webform I have two ListBoxes, with Add and Remove buttons in between. The user can select items in one ListBox and using the buttons, swap them around. I do this on the clientside using javascript. I then also have a SAVE button, which I want to process on the server side when the user is happy with their list.
Problems : First I was getting the following problem when I clicked SAVE :
Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using in configuration or <%@ Page EnableEventValidation="true" %> in a page. For security purposes, this feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback events originate from the server control that originally rendered them. If the data is valid and expected, use the ClientScriptManager.RegisterForEventValidation method in order to register the postback or callback data for validation. I read that one of the methods to get around this was to put my ListBoxes into an UpdatePanel, which I did, and I am getting further.
However, now the event handler for the button's Click event is not being run if the user has used the clientside javascript to alter the contents of the Listboxes. If the user has not altered the contents of the listboxes, the handler does execute.
While working through some demos today I managed to trick VS 2008 somehow and I cannot access any server side events or variables in the code editor window. Hopefully
this screenshot will demonstrate exactly what I am missing. No matter what control I pick from my source I get the same drop down items overhead. What is quite weird is that when I drop new server side controls onto the source editor I can set the tag attributes for the events, but when I double click that event there is not an automatic created event handler with the same name created for me. Also, on the property pages there is no events image button (the one with the lightning bolt). The only property page items which have the events image button (lightning bolt) are the ajax toolkit controls. Already tried the "import all settings - VB Default" to blast away everything and no luck..
I wnat to aacess this path with images in aspx(design-source) side. I successfully tested this with html controls but it contains error with server controls here is the aspx content [Code]....
I have 2 tables, call them stock and visit. Stock contains a list of standard products (code and description columns). Visit contains a list of products used during a visit (product description column amongst others). When a user adds a product to the visit table they can either select a standard product from the list or select a product code and amend the description, e.g. they could select "paint" and change the description to "blue paint". The new description will only be relevant in the Visit table. This all works fine.
I have an editable gridview which lists the products used during a visit. There is an Ajax control toolkit combo box in the EditItemTemplate which allows the user to select a different product. If the product exists in the Stock list then everything works fine. If the user amended the description (e.g. changed "paint" to "blue paint" when they added the product to the Visit table I get the following error.
'ProductDescription' has a SelectedValue which is invalid because it does not exist in the list of items. Parameter name: value
I presume this is because the amended description won't exist in the standard list of products. How do I add the amended description to the combo box list? I've tried using the RowEditing event but can't reference the combo box in the EditItemTemplate.I think what I want is something along the lines of [Code]....
Combobox markup below
<asp:ComboBox ID="ProductDescription" runat="server" [code]...Answer in vb preferably.
I want to integrate paypal inside my shopping cart. For that it requires a html form to be embeded inside .aspx page with the action to paypal and method is post. Inside that form there are some hidden input filed. I want to assign one of those hidden field's value from server side code so i need to access that filed from server side. But how? Here is my form:
