Having Common Page Title In Master Page With Each Page Adding Page

This works by placing the content page specific title on the page ("My Page" in this example). Now I want to add a global prefix to the title in my master page for the site name. So I want:

However, when I do this content pages are still rendered without "Example.com" in the tile, it's like it's ignored.
Why is this happening and how can I achieve this?

Aug 11, 2010I have a solution I'm working on in VS2010 Professional, using ASP.NET 4.0 with the AJAX Toolkit.This has been working fine, but when I started it up today, I got the runtime exception shown above. This exception occurs on any page with a control from the toolkit.Sometimes when I load a page, I get an exception "Could not load file or assembly 'System.Windows, Version=2.0.5.0, Culture=neutral, ublicKeyToken=7cec85d7bea7798e' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified." If I then reload the page (without making any changes), I then get the exception shown in the subject line.I tried dragging an AJAX Toolkit control from the toolbox onto a page, and then deleting it, and that worked - once. The next time I tried the page (or any other), I got the exception again. Dragging a control out didn't help this time.

When a user submits a textbox, textbox's text is added to msg. and then msg is displayed to both the users who are chatting. Then, next user submits his textbox , his textbox's text is also added to the msg, and then msg is displayed to both users.
My problem is this, how can I implement this in asp.net ? How to maintain a global (common) msg (string) to both the users who are chatting. Can I implement this in asp.net?
Security :: Custom NEW User Setup Which Build To Allow System Administrators To Setup Users?
Sep 21, 2010I'm having trouble setting up a custom NEW User Screen. Here is my situation, I have a Request for Access Screen that uses the CreateNewUser Wizard Control. I want to leave the Question and Answer for this, however I also want a custom NEW User Setup which I build myself to allow the system administrators to setup users, but for this setup I don't want the administrators to have to pick the question and answer for the NEW user, so I would like to bypass this for this setup. However, my Membership.CreateUser keeps asking for it. How can I accomplish this? I've included a copy of my current web.config file. You will notice a AspNetAdminMemberhip which I use to allow the System Administrators to reset passwords.

The function works great; however, in our testing lab, I want to be able to see the message that are going out and not have it actually send the messages. Since MsgBox does not work in the web environment, is there a way to open a new page/window from the common code? The page will have the message passed to it for display and I do not want to do a redirect as there are times when more than one email is going out.

Feb 26, 2011I have problem regarding my IIS (Window server 2008 R2 Enterprise x64). I make my web application using Win. 7 with 32bit and using Vs 2010. After finish and publish i go to server and start setting IIS. But i get this error --> The requested content appears to be script and will not be served by the static file handler. So many method i read from internet but still cannot solved my problem. For your information, my Application Pool is ASP.NET 4.0 (Classic). and under Application Pool i started more than 1 Application Pool.

Setup Last Page To Clear Sessions Using Session.Abandon();

I have different sessions thruout the application process, but this one session is only set at the beginning of the process and once i kill it on the last page, any attempt to hit Back or trying to access any page directly without first starting, i need to force them to the beginning, what am i missing or doing wrong?
sessID is set on page 1 and is available until you get to the last page. Where i added the Session.Abandon(); Now if i get to the last page and hit back before the refresh occurs, im able to go back, but the page comes up with null reference for other sessions that are obvisously cleared / killed with the abandon. So i should have to check for each session should i? I mean if the abandon killed them all, then checking for the main session should be enough right?

Mar 24, 2011I've been looking for the best method to add "Tab Views" to my .ASPX web pages. I read about one method on the internet and actually remembered the other possible method from a control in the default VS2010 toolkit.
I like the <asp:MultiView> control because its so easy to use. The only thing is that it requires the page to be posted back. The second method would use CSS + JavaScript to essentially emulate tabbed views in the same webpage by changing the styles of <div> elements based upon the users tab selection, making the selected tab appear visible and the other tabs appear invisible.
I like the ease of implementation of the <asp:MultiView> but I dislike the fact that it requires the page to be posted back and resent. Also, I haven't even tried this myself yet but Im assuming there is a way to setup the page to make it look like you can select different tabs with a MultiView. Can anyone confirm this?
I like the CSS+JavaScript method of "Tab Views" because no page postback is required but it is a little more work to code. No big deal really though once its done.
