MVC Application should allow users to edit, add, delete, save, filter, sort, paginate in DataGrid.
Data is stored in SQL server tables.
Columns and column widths which appear in DataGrid are defined at runtime. Views should create editable DataGrids at runtime using this definition table.
Which free DataGrid control is best for this ? Where to find sample code to implement this in MVC ?
im trying to add edit button in my gridview. when click in that row the values will automatically filled up the textbox. Im done w/ remove button. here is my code

How can i add the update button w/out conflicting to remove.
i am developing asp.net application using visual studio 2003 version. I know only vb script not c# or others. my requirement is like this "from sql server database i getting some table data and displaying on the datagrid.I had customised the datagrid with button column with (Edit,Update,Cancel) Option." I stucked up here.
my requirement is by pressing Edit button one column in the datagrid should come under edit mode. After editing the data by clicking on the update button it should update the data in the database, like wise by clicking on the cancel button it should cancel the edit process etc.
I am creating two dynamic control and i need use the break line after each control. When i am trying response.write("<br>") in the behind code file it is not working. and my all controls get mixed and look very ugly.

I have been using a datagrid on various pages. For some reason it stopped working. When pressing the Edit to make a change to the record, the page posts back two times and the record does not go into the edit mode. I am using IE 7 for my browser. Below is my code.

(like an AJAX accordion). this website for example ( ignore the language, couldnt find any better example [URL] Now, i've been told that this works by using "Dynamic Div Creation" which i have no idea how it should work this way. Is it possible to make it work by using an Accordion inside a datagrid? or what?

I'm trying to make a form where the text boxes and titles for each box are created dynamically based on how many array values there are. I have tried a repeater but am a little unclear on how I can get the texbox to bind to one area of and the title to bind to another. This is what I have so far:

This works and adds values where container.dataitem is but how to I make it add one set of array values there and another set of array values where the *x* is?
I want to hide some fields, so that the user can't put value for them on insert and edit pages, and I will give these fields default values on code behind later.
I want to hide these fields just in insert pages but want to see them on the list pages, such as the createdAt column.
Example: we have different articles in a database like cars, jewelery, boats. The data related to these articles is different in the tables. I have to show that data in a textboxes and let the user change those data and update. I can do the update and reading the data from database. But the problems is for each item the no.of columns and rows will differ.
My task is I need to get the data according to the use selection in the table with textboxes. I dont know which container (gridview, formview or etc) will suites for my requirement. send me any sample code or any tutorial related to this.
Note: showing the data in a table should be a constraint. Because I should show data row wise (each row contains 3 textboxes and 3 labels (DB table column names))
