MVC :: Installing 3 - Error 1722 "Windows Installer Package"

I am getting really fed up trying to install MVC 3, I have bloged about the problem here - [URL] To sum it up, after ages of digging around, I finally managed to track it down to the aspnetwebpages.msi component. I am not sure what to do next as I have tried to repair, remove, force delete as well as a few other things, but I am just getting no where. I have a normal system - I upgraded to Windows 7 SP1 yesterday, VS 2010 SP1 today and have never had any Betas installed apart from Web Matrix which I uninstalled today (after the VS SP1).
The exact details of the error is: Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Why does the Web Platform Installer force you to install SQL 2008 Express?
I have a production server which already has an installation of SQL 2000 but no web development tools are installed. I would prefer not to add SQL 2008 Express if it is not necessary. The server in addition to being the primary intranet webserver is also DC, APP SERVER, FILE SERVER and basically does not need to handle an extra instance of SQL.
The main purpose of this is just one of convenience to have the web development app on the RDP Desktop instead of attaching to the server in some manner (ftp/unc share).

I get the following error when i try to install asp.net mvc 3 using the Web Platform Installer 3.0: "This product did not install succesfully: Downloaded file failed signature verification and may have been tampered with" The other thing I've noticed is that inside the "Application DataMicrosoftWeb Platform InstallerinstallersMVC3..." folder, the Web Platform Installer creats a "AspNetMVC3Setup.exe" file that has a size an aprox file size of 200KB. Meanwhile, at the beginign of the instalation process the Web Platform Installer informs that it will download a 20MB file.

I downloaded and installed VS 2010 Ultimate as a trial and I received "sucessful" message at the end of the installation.
But when I opened VS 2010 Ultimate I received this warning "The 'Visual Studio HTML Editor Package' package did not load correctly.' error message".
The next thing I know is that all the Toolbox icons are grayed out (I tried to create a .NET web application). There is no design/split pane.

i have the following bit of code... is there a way to embed a media player into a webpage (such as windows media player) and play a file on it without actually having to have windows media player installed?

I am trying to learn how to deploy a web application with .msi installer. I'm looking for any and all information on how to execute an SSIS package from my asp.net web site. I have written the call and when I run the application from (Localhost) it works, but when I run it from the server it does not.
Here is my code to call and execute the package:

Again this works from my local machine running from localhost, but not from our live server. I have turned on impersination to see if that worked and still getting the same result. The file is written successfully to the server without issue, but I'm just lost.

Created SSIS package, it runs fine I import it into Stored packages in Integration Services, I right click and click "Run Package" it runs fine Create a new job to run the package and I get errors
The package runs an Execute Package task. That seems to be where the errors occur. But it runs fine in all circumstances except from a "job".
Note: ALL THE ERRORS ARE IN TASKS THAT CONNECT TO A REMOTE SERVER.

I can't seem to get the mvc 2 to install. I have a copy of visual studio 2008 already installed and working. I'm using vista ultimate 32-bit and I've ran it normally just by double clicking it and also by doing a run as administrator. Both fail with the same log entries. It always exits with code 1603.Here's the bottom portion of the install.log file:

When I first installed VS in german several "package errors" popped up. They had the option to ignore the message or disable the package. Ever since I'm trying to fix that by kinda "reallowing" the package, or reinstalling it. I even deinstalled and installed VS completely, without success. I discovered a solution for when someone would have clicked to "ignore" the message, but not for when the packages were disallowed. Disallowing these packages results in a VS not recognizing Markup / CSS language.

I'm trying to install a site search software called FindInSite. After following the instructions, and having a network guy do some of the set up, I get an error in the main config.asp file when trying to load one of four test pages. I can load the one html test page, but all three aspx test pages will generate the same error. The error itself is below:

Since this is an error in loading the roll provider for this particular page, I'm guessing that there is something wrong with the virtual directory or physical directory that was created for this software. None of the other pages on the site generate this error.
