I want to bind an event to a certain class and ID for when matching objects are created in the DOM.I am doing this as I have some jQuery code in an ASP UpdatePanel, which causes the DOM to be re-loaded on its partial postback. I have reset the events with live(), however I need to call a 2 line initialisation function as soon as the elements are created. Is there any way to attach this to live(), or some other jQuery function, or will I have to write code to do this myself?
Can anyone think of a (preferably quick) way to move the data() attached to a DOM element to a new instance of itself?
The lightbox plugin I'm using deletes and re-appends and element to the page in order to display it in the lightbox (to aviod the multiple-ids issue that ASP.net has), and obviously the .data() that is attached to the element is lost when this happens.
This has got to be easy, but has got me stumped. How do I change an element on screen several times in one function?I want to change a label to read something like "starting..." at the beginning of my function, then go away and do some stuff and then change the label to "finished" at the end.
I have an ASP.NET document, with an Image element within it. I created a mouseover function on this image element and it's working fine. The question is: If the mouse is ALREADY over the element when the document loads itself, the mouseover function doesn't trigger (I need to mouseout and then mouseover again in order to trigger it). Is there any way to check in the $(document).ready function if the mouse is already on top of this element? and if yes- trigger the mouseover function.
I'm having trouble retrieving the value of a cell in a gridview.
I think it may have something to do with the item template calling a function since I am able to retrieve the values of cells that are not calling a function in the same gridview.
How can i extract the displayed value from this cell?
I cannot sort after adding GridView_AA_RowCreated function. Each column of Grid view header-text worked well before I add this Row Created function. If I cut the following code: e.Row.Cells[2].Text = "Period Name"; Sorting works. I want to get sorting without removing this Row Created function. Do you have any brighter solution about my problem?
protected void GridView_AA_RowCreated(object sender, GridViewRowEventArgs e) { if (e.Row.RowType == DataControlRowType.Header) { e.Row.Cells[2].Text = "Period Name"; //Change header text in run-time } }
I'm looking at an asp.net application, i notice that there are assemblies defined into two places. In web.config there is configuration/system.web/compilation/assemblies/add elements. In the project file there are references setup under the Project/ItemGroup/Reference elements.
I was wondering, what is the difference between assemblies/references added in either location?
This doesn't happen when I create the site in my local drive. Is there a workaround to this. Even if I add the missing parts, I keep getting the same error.
I would like to select an element that is in the same TR as another element I found with a selector. The selector itself: $("input[name='sMessageValue']","#messageTable") Now I have this element and got its value I would like to find a checkbox located in the same TR, i tried this as starting point : $(this).(':parent').val(). But seems not the right thing to do.
You're making a website with ASP.NET 4.0/C#, although xml alone is suitable for this example. The site will have a site map and a default page with a menu control, as follows:Web.sitemap
Element 'content' is not a known element. this can occur if there is a compilation error in the website, or the web.config file is missing.
<asp:Content ID="Content2" ContentPlaceHolderID="ContentPlaceHolder1" Runat="Server"> <asp:Content --- showed a green wavy line , and on hover displayed the above error.
Now I am having certain problems.
1. Visual Studio 2010 hangs when I try to use ToolBox.
2. Intellisense for asp.net controls is not working.
I have tried replacing web.config file (frm backup) , tried to debug - it doesnt show anything.
All other websites are working alright. Have problem with only one of the websites.
I upgraded from VS 2008 to VS 2010 and now the AJAX elements are not recognised by the source code editor, e.g. UpdatePanel, ScriptManager, etc. I get warnings in VS and no intellisense for those elements. When I run the site, all the AJAX controls work OK though.
I got this errors while trying to use an example from the ASP.NET 3.5 Unleashed book.
Webform1.aspx
[Code]....
LengthValidator.cs
[Code]....
As from the book's note, I think I added this line correctly:
[Code]....
However, the compiler kept complaining that:
Warning 1 Element 'LengthValidator' is not a known element. This can occur if there is a compilation error in the Web site, or the web.config file is missing. C:Visual Studio 2010 ASP.NET ProjectsWebApplicationFourWebApplicationFourWebForm1.aspx 16 17 WebApplicationFour
I am using dotnetCHARTING: the dll is installed in the GAC and referenced in my web.config (all versions appear to match). The project has a reference to the dll.
The site code compiles ok, but all aspx pages using the charting library complain that the Chart tag does not exist (warning that it might be a compile error). The aspx pages do not render the charts.
Element 'AsyncPostBackTrigger' is not a known element. This can occur if there is a compilation error in the Web site, or the web.config file is missing.
My app is working properly but visual studio showing warning like that.
I have been using LINQ to SQL for quite a while (about two years). Every thing was fine until now. As usual, I created LINQ to SQL classes and built the project, then created an aspx page. However, I cannot see the DataClassesDataContext in the code behind file. It is not listed in the intellisense list.
I'm creating a static helper class for web services I'm writing. I'm tapping into the API of Telligent and therefore creating these Telligent "service" objects that allow me to do things with the platform. For example, I'm creating a MembershipSerice object in my helper class so I can do membership stuff with the same object. In my helper class I have a property with a getter that creates a new one of these objects:
private static MembershipService _MembershipService { get return new MembershipService(path, usr, pwd); [code]...
