SQL Server :: Write A Stored Proc To Prevent Multiple Users In Uploading The Reports At A Time?

I wanted to know how to prevent more than one user from uploading the report at a time .
This is a Windos based app written in c# . When User A clicks Upload option on one server from the menu to upload the files and at the same time when User B clicks Upload option on different server , User B should be alerted a message saying "User A's uploading is in progress,pls wait" . How to achieve this, with the code..I am thinking this logic should be kept in a stored proc, How do I write that proc?

I have to write stored proc to get the daily transaction for a specified date. Right now what i do is everytime i log a transaction in table3 I update table 2 with the count. Then i use table 2 to write the stored proc and to get the desired result. I have pasted my stored proc below with the output. My problem is when another subsystem is added in the AppInfo table i need to update my stored proc because i have hardcoded the subsystem name.

i hve crystal report which is wrking perfectly fine.. now i want to add paramter to my stored proc... but i am not able to add the same parameter on crystal report..i tried to add parameter in the parameter fields the crystal reports field explorer.. but when i verfiy database it still gives msg stored proc expects parameter which was not supplied..SQL State 42000 native error..

I am having a strange problem with using stored proc in CTP5.I am calling a stored proc in my function like this:
private List<Test> GetDatat(Test pTest)
{
using(var staticDB=new StaticDB()) [code]...
But I am getting error that parameters not found. Looking at the sql trace I can see that CTP5 is sending "default" value if any of my parameters is null instead of the null value.

I have a gridview 'gvTemplates' that loads from the Page_Load method. It is using a stored procedure and this works fine. Then I do a search function on that gridview and that works fine. So when I click the search cancel button, which calls the same exact code that loads the gridview from Page_Load, I get the dreaded 'Input string was not in the correct format'.How can the exact same code and stored proc work fine the first time but fail the second?Gridview:

I have one SP in sql server which takes the data from user and inserts into three tables. My problem is if multiple users call the same SP in same time it throwing error..(I guess one user at a time can access the table and table will be locked, that is why remaning users getting error)how to handle this situation. it is a web application, so at a time so many people can call the same SP.How can many users insert data in the same table in the same time?

i have the following stored proc that inserts data into a database based on a stauts field. the first stored proc inserts into the first table and i am trying to get the identity field out as i need this value for the next stored proc. the first stored proc works fine and inserts the data but the secnd one doesnt, even though there is data there.

I want to get corresponding names of ID1,ID2 and ID3,ID4 in sp1 as a query result.Is it somehow possible to call sp2 from sp1?

I have a GridView sourced by a SQL Server stored procedure with several databound fields, including a money column for item values. My stored proc returns the data through a SELECT and everything looks good. The stored proc also has a single output parameter that sums the total value of the displayed data, and this value is displayed in a label above the GridView.

I have a stored proc. that returns the USL & LSL values for each of the 8 different Metrics. say, Defect Density (Upper Specification Limit) USL = 0.30 & Defect Density (Lower Specification Limit_ LSL = 0.05). Simillarly for 8 different Metrics. Why I need these Spec. Limits ?...Because I want o compare my project's Metrics Value displayed in the Grid View with the corresponding USL & LSL value of the same Metrics. I've modified an existing strored procedure. It originally had one ouput parameter in the stored proc and it was set up as follows in the c# code that called it:
cmd.Parameters.Add("@Var1Param", SqlDbType.BigInt);

I wish my user to have option of selecting multle image at once and upload them to site form there hard drive, somehing like on copy paste, and not to have 5 upload buttons and to look for each photo separatly.
I have thi esolved in zip file where user can zip in let say 453 photo and upload them to internet in single file where they are automaticli unziped but it would be much better to have option of selecting numerus photo i windows explorer and upload thm with single click
