VS 2012 - Ajax Tab Control On The Page / Button Not Firing
Jul 21, 2013
I have a web app connected to a database. I have a ajax tab control on the page with a textbox and a button in a panel that will update the database with whatever the user types in the textbox. But I cant seem to get the behind code to work, I assume the button is not firing.
I am also facing some issues with Back Button of Internet Browser as well. Actully Page Load event of my page is not firing when i click on Back Button of Internet.
I am using Visual studio 2012, I want to install Ajax Toolkit in my Project. From where to get Ajax Toolkit for VS2012? And what are the steps to add refrence (ajax .dll) into the project. Also I want to know that what things need to take care when using Ajax Toolkit in Project, both at client and server side.
I have a user control, which is added to another user control. The nested user control is built up of a GridView, an image button and a link button. The nested user control is added to the outer control as a collection object based upon the results bound to the GridView.
The problem that I have is that my link button doesn't work. I click on it and the event doesn't fire. Even adding a break point was not reached. As the nested user control is added a number of times, I have set image button to have unique ids and also the link button. Whilst image button works correctly with its JavaScript. The link button needs to fire an event in the code behind, but despite all my efforts, I can't make it work. I am adding the link button to the control dynamically. Below is the relevant code that I am using:
I am using vs 2008 in my wepage i have one update button which is not fired in first click i deleted all coding and tried for this simple line coding for this also not firing in first click
I am faced with a tricky scenario. My application (WEB) is in .NET 3.5 using C# as the development language. My page is having a number of User controls, each with a Save button of its own.
Now my Page containing the User Controls also has a button named SAVE. Now all these User Controls are dynamically populated in the page with respect to some events and all of them are inside individual Update Panels.
Now my requirement is ONCLICK of the SAVE button in the page, the clicks of the SAVE buttons of the user controls will get fired. But since its an asynchronous call (since I am using AJAX through UPDATE PANELS), it will be a heavy overload if all the clicks get fired simultaneously.
So I thought of having sequential clicks done, i.e., after the successful completion of the Click of User Control 1, the click of User Control 2 will get fired and so on.
I presume this can be done with Server Callback, but I am at a loss how to proceed with it.
I have a link button which is part of my user control. Further, the control is actually added to the control dynamically. Whilst, I can see the control, and is added to the page without any visible errors, but when I click on to fire an event which on that user control nothing happens. What is even more odd, if I add a break point to event, and then click in debug mode, I can't even reach the break point!
To try and resolve this, I have tried giving the link button ids, and ensured they unique, added override using OnInit and used the createchildcontrols method, but nothing seems to work!
I have a master page containing a ScriptManager control, and a Content Page containing a ScriptManagerProxy Control. Further on the content page I have an UpdatePanel control containing a GridView control and a server side button control. I have registered the button control as a trigger with the UpdatePanel control asynchronously and have set the UpdateMode of the UpdatePanel to "Conditional". I also have a "JumpLoader" control which is outside the UpdatePanel control. I have the following event for Jumploader wired up through Javascript. I am pasting the relevant sections of the code below:
I have a web page which has both asp.net controls as well as AJAX controls.I am facing a weird issue when I introduce some AJAX controls(Modal popup) inside a tabbed panel, the button onClick event stops firing.
I am performing the search event on the button click and showing the result in datalist inside the model popup on same button simultaneous. but when i am clicking the button it vill not showing the model popup.
Here is what i am trying to do I have a multiview and two views in it so based on click event the link the views change
[code]....
apparently they are not firing on first try. The reason i am doing this is the two views have tables with different images to be used in building my menu.
What am i doing wrong? or why is the click event firing on second try?
I have a aspx page, default.aspx, with an user control in it. Inside the user control (UC 1) there is a DataGrid. When the DataGrid is loading data with ItemDataBound, I need to dynamically load another user control (UC 2) for each row in the DataGrid. UC 2 has a Button ( BTN )with an eventhandler associated with it in code behind.
User control loading is fine, and the Button, BTN, is there. However, when I click the Button, the eventhandler is not reached, not firing, even though the page does postback. I googled for this issues, and I know the dynamically loaded user controls need to be loaded every time the page is postback. In my case, it needs to be loaded each time the datagrid is doing ItemDataBound. I did it and even hook up the eventhandler with button click event each time when the user control is dynamically loaded. I set EnableViewState to true on the Page and controls.
The following is part of the code from UC 1, AcctPaymentDetail is UC 2 in the code.
I have a master page with a menu on it. I have found now two pages out of dozens where for some reason the master page events aren't firing. I've put a break point in there and it never hits it. Is there something that could cause a disconnect between the page and the master page events? Really weird it happens in Chrome and IE but they fire correctly in Safari.
Button click event from inside the accordion pane is not firing. Accordion pane contains tab container inside one of its panes (5th pane) to read data from user and to save that data into database. I have used a button to save data when user click on that button. For this button i have written a click event in code behind.
im creating a button control in page int and im assing a click event for the button control. here the click event is not firing for the first time. here is my code.
I have a web app and one of the forms has a gridview and also two tables.
Because of this, I have a save button that saves new data; and I also have update buttons that appear each time the user clicks Edit in a row of the gridview.
I would like to see if there's a way to combine my save with my update so that the user only has to click one time to save.
I was looking for the update button link that appears in my gridview via the source code page, but it's no where to be found.
Is there a way to move the update button or not show it? Not sure how to even start using the save to incorporate both.
I've got a button like this <button type="submit" value="xyz".That's used to SUBMIT a FORM to an UPLOAD method running in IIS. Where in the CONTEXT or CONTEXT.REQUEST do I find the VALUE "xyz"?
What I'm trying to do is fill the buttons name programatically. So far I will get X and Y values and i need to change the text of that button at that position.
I know it's possible to do x0_y3.text = xxxx for each position but this will take years, i'm looking for a solution using a loop or some other technique to easily replace the text values. and the buttons are under an updatepanel.
ex : GIVEN : xx=2 yy=2
ex. WHERE IT IS "x" & xx and "y" & yy REPLACE TEXT WITH "hello"
I tried something like this, but it doesn't work with the updatepanel for some reason, but it works fine if i use a simple panel
Code: For Each c As Button In UpdatePanel1.Controls.OfType(Of Button)() MsgBox(c.ID) c.BackColor = Drawing.Color.Yellow Next
