Visual Studio :: Reset Menu And Toolbar Options To Defaults

I have a very vexxing issue. After installing a third-party application and add-in for VSTS 2008, it has corrupted my menus/buttons by duplicating/cascading these throughout studio (i.e. Multiple sets of each menu - File, Edit, View, etc, each of which has multiple submenu entry sets). I have tried to use Add-In Manager to uninstall it and removing the application (which added the Add-in to VSTS). I tried Tools->Customize and resetting the MenuBar and ContextMenu options as well. I tried running each of the following (closing and then reopening VSTS after each) from the command prompt, which completed but did not fix things.
devenv /resetsettings
devenv /resetSkipPkgs
devenv /resetuserdata
devenv /setup
My question then, does anyone know a way to reset the menus/toolbars for VSTS 2008 to their defaults or correct this some other way? I know I can unistalll both products and resolve this but I *really* want to be able to use the third party app (Red Gate's SQL Prompt).

I have a couple of fields on a form that will be populated with default values. I would like to put a button that will allow me to reset those fields to their default values if they have been modified. However I would like to avoid the postback so that I don't have data being sent to the database. Is it possible to add a javascript hook such that when that button is pressed I can pull the default values and populate those fields in javascript?

For years now, I always added the "Format Document" icon to my HTML Editing toolbar. It always was difficult to find this in VS2008 and VS2005. It seem it has been completely eliminated in VS2010.Does anyone have any idea where is might be in the Customize toolbar myriad of commands?I realize it is available under the Edit drop down menu as well as keyboard command Ctrl K, Ctrl D. But is is just so much more helpful to put it on the toolbar.

When opening another aspx page in Visual Web Developer 2010 IDE, I would prefer to have it open to the right of other page/tabs already open (like VS 2003), and not the default behaviour of opening on the far left and pushing all other open items to the right. Where/is there a setting to do this in the IDE options?

I have just the Express version of VS2010 so no option to attach to process. I am developing a custom DotNetNuke module which runs fine by itself, but has problems when running once installed as a module in DNN. Hence I need to attach to the DNN process and see what is going on. I don't have DbgCLR.exe as it looks like they stopped including that in .NET 3.5 Framework...and I don't want to risk installing .NET 2.0 framework and mess up my dev environment.

my problem doesn't involve any programming per se but it involves the interface of VWD so I hope I'm posting in the correct space. Anyways, most of the time when I scroll over something in VWD whether it be something in the Getting Started box or an option from one of the menu bar items a full-colored block will cover it and won't go away. This doesn't seem to be hurting anything but it is quite the annoyance. Has anyone else had this problem? How can I fix this? This does seem specific to VWD and no other application on my PC.

I tried to publish a website from Visual Studio 2008 right clicking, Publish. And I entered an invalid account and clicked "remember this ..." So now I can't finish the publishing and I don't know how to reset that credential? How can I change that account?

Where does a toolbox reset get it's information? I installed Office 2010 Primary Interop Assemblies redistributable on windows 7 using visual studio 2010 professional. Not 100% sure if it's the culprit but now my visual studio 2010 toolbox reset only shows the tabs for "Excel Controls", "Word Controls", "Ribbon Editor", "Dialog Editor", etc....
Things tried: reset the toolbox and view all and it still only shows these. I can create a new tab and manually add in the tab with items like DataSet so they are there.command line reset devenv /setup devenv /resetsettings.I've reset the all settings in "Import and Export Settings Wizard". There's visual studio 2005 on the box and the toolbox is fine and exporting settings from there and importing into vs2010 does nothing.Tried repairing vs2010 to no effect. Logged out of the box as my id and logged in as a different id hoping it was something inmy profile, to no effect.Uninstalled o2010pia.msi via add-remove-programs but the readme says it doesn't remove from the GAC (which is verified).Cannot uninstall particular entries in gac even as admin in vs cmd prompt from gac (required for installer message).

I have installed VS2010 ultimate and have read with interest about the new publish options, config transformations but none of them are available. I have tried creating different release versions and cannot see the option, also have no new options for publish, just look like the VS2008 ones.
Is there some service pack or pack that i need to install these or does it sound like a reinstall?

My existing system has Visual Studio 2008 and Visual Web Developer 2010 Express. But Microsoft web installer for Webmatrix has made Wematrix Launch ribbon menu pointing to Visual Studio 2008. How could I make Webmatrix point to Visual Web Express 2010. To make use of IntelliSense and the debugger, I have to manually launch Visual Web Developer 2010 Express.

I right click the blank solution on solution explorer and click the add new project command
I choose a web project template.
Firs I add a new item as a masterpage.
Later, I want to add a new file to the web project which is use a masterpage
but I can not see to select "select master page" options on "add new item" display screen
If I start a new project as a web site directly, no prob.

I came across this site and like the top nav menu [URL] can visual studio 2008 generate such a menu like that. Moreover, what about if I want to apply security on what to show in the menu. For instance, I will have 3 departments ( Finance, Accounting and Marketing ) each department has its own apsx page. Depending on role, I need to show / not show a page under each department. I'm developing a web form using visual basic.net and visual studio 2008. I noticed I cannot select multiple text boxes and make the them to align all make them the same size. I select one textbox, and then hit ctrl to select more controls, it did't do anything. And also I cannot see in format menu, something like align or make the same size. But if I create a windows form, I can see the options. But I remember I can do this in visual studio 2005 before even for asp.net web form.
