I'm sure the answer to this problem is very simple, however, I've been racking my brain on this one. I am adding rows/cells to a table dynamically.

When I check or uncheck the box, it fires the page load and not 'MarkFormCompleted'. No matter what I do, I can't get it to fire 'MarkFormCompleted'.
i am using VWD(visual web developer 2008) and DOTNET 3.5
i have a page on which i dynamically add multiple datalist controls on the oninit event of my page , on postabck i again add all these datalist controls to the page on oninit event
the template for all the datalist controls is defined using the ITemplate interface, the template defined for each datalist control contains a button which has a event handler attached to onclick event.
the problem is first time i click the button on postback i add the multiple datalist controls , the event gets fired which modifies the datatable i am using to generate my datalist controls and the datalist controls with the modified data show on the page but the second time a user clicks the button inside datalist the event does not get fired.

I'm creating a next/previous function for my repeater using pageddatasource. I added the link button control dynamically in my oninit using the following code.

So I am incrementing the cookie I am using to track the page number and then rebinding the repeater.
Here is the main issue. The first time I click Next, it works, it goes to Page 2 without any problems. When on Page 2, I click Next, it goes back to Page 1. Seems like the Next event is not wiring up properly.
I have a page where I add a dynamic user control in the Page_Load event based on criteria.
The control is a simple form with a save button. The problem is the _Click event never fires for the button. It will postback the main page the control is within, but not the code behind for the control...so I never get the button click even, and therefor can't execute the save code.
Tried it in the init, tried adding the control to a placeholder, tried a lot of various things but nothing seems to work.

I have a GridView control bound to an AccessDataSource. After selecting a row I'm creating a table inside the selected row. I'm adding Buttons to this table. Their Click event never gets fired. I read about recreating the buttons and stuff, but still no luck solving the issue.

I have created dynamic control with both server and client side events.. if i set client side event server side event is not firing.. I have created the link button which will validate and do some necessary actions.. Validation is working but click event of link button is not firing .. if we remove the client side event , server side event is firing.. how to avoid this.. I want both events..

That message popup box comes, but i'm unable to catch that click event. while click on a row i want to delete that row, so want to create event dynamically. for that i've used this following dynamic click event

I've dynamically created 3 checkboxes as you can see in the code below. I also wrote an event handler below. When I run the code, the 3 checkboxes show up, but the event handling does not work right. Whenever there is postback from any of the 3 checkboxes, Label1 reflects the state of checkbox #3, no matter if I toggle checkbox #1 or #2. I put the code I have under Page_Init into Page_Load instead, but makes no difference either way.
The bottom line is, I want the event handler to know exactly which of the 3 checkboxes is firing the event so that Label1 can reflect that.

Whether I add the handler during itemdatabound or I add the handler within the repeater itself, it doesn't seem to matter...the event itself doesn't fire. The AutoPostback itself seems to fire, but the event itself doesn't.
I have a gridview called gvResults. In the gvResults_RowEditing event I add a row below the one selected. In that new row, which spans all columns, I insert a user-control. There are two buttons and some textboxes in the user control.
My problem is that when I click one of the user-control buttons it never gets to the button event handler, I think because the user control is not recreated on the page postback. How can I have the user-control events fire before the parent page events fire?
I tried using an update panel, but I still get the parent posting back before the user-control events.
I am facing one strange problem,I have a gridview in which the last two columns have checkboxes and on those checkboxes click event I am doing some database operations.I also have one checkbox that is outside the gridview which actually shows or hides some of the gidview columns.This was all working well but now I have shifted that grid to a user control because I have to use it in two pages.The problem now is,When the page first loads and I click the check box or any control in the page that is outside the grid then it works perfectly.But once I click any of the check box within grid view column then its behavior chages, now even if I click the checkbox that is outside the grid then also the checkbox_CheckedChanged event of the checkbox that is whithin gridview is fired.That checkbox event then behaves something like a page_load event that is called for every page load and for every event with in the page after it is called once.

Each ReapeaterItem should include an UpdatePanel, because i have to Update the Controls inside the UpdatePanel and do not want to reload the complete page. Inside these dynamically generated UpdatePanels (each RepeaterItem has one) i´m adding up to three Checkboxes dynamically (based on the Database). These Checkboxes need to fire the "CheckedChanged" event, because on some conditions i want to enable/disable/check/uncheck Checkbox1, 2 or 3 based on business logic. ... Hope you got this so far. I´m adding all Controls and have the EventHandler Added. But the generated Code does not reflect the Event Handler. I tried OnItemDataBound, OnItemCreated, PreRender, ... Events to add the Eventhandler too, but i was not able to find the CheckBox-Control with the ID.
I´m totally lost with this and on the way to use Buttons instead of Checkboxes. From what i read so far is that with Buttons i can use the CommandName from the Button and the ItemCommand-Event from the Repeater to get a workaround, but then i need to reflect the "Check" on the Page in some way. btw, every Repeater (8) sits inside an ajaxtoolkit-accordion control. I am having an odd situation with a dynamic image button. This button is part of a dynamically built asp table which lives in a repeater. Not sure if that complicates things or not, but here's the issue. Since the buttons are dynamically built, if I let asp.net handle the ids I get a crash on postback. Not entirely sure why, but If I set the id in code, I don't get the duplicate id error but I don't get the event fired either. Here is the code building the button:

With this code the IB_Validate_Click never fires. If I comment out the IB_Validate.ID line, the event fires. But, as mentioned above, I have an id clash on a postback. Any ideas why the IB_Validate_Click doesn't fire on this button if the id is set?
I'm fairly new to MVC and have an issue converting something I created using normal ASP.NET to MVC framework.I have a database with one to many relationship between 2 tables. I need to be able to make amendments to the single parent row in the same page as that which will edit the many records. The values to be edited in the table with many rows to be edited are either true or false and will be edited using a checkbox.
To make it a little more complicated the list of checkboxes is actually dynamic and is built from another table.In the normal ASP.NET page, all the controls are placed in a details view and the dynamic list of checkboxes is added to a placeholder on Page_Load. Then I get the list of values that are true and, for each row in the list, use FindControl to find the checkbox with the appropriate ID and set it to flagged.
I've got the MVC page working so far as follows:
I can build the checkboxes I need by passing the list of ID's using the ViewData.
I can also add, and edit the fields that are in the table with the single row that needs to be edited.
What I'm stuck on is:
Populating the appropriate checkboxes with "true" as appropriate
Subsequently saving any updates to the checkboxes when the save button is clicked.

Ok so that works ...data coming from the database populating the checkboxlist...:)when the user click on some values...I want them to go to another page.....ok ..so I have all the values they selected.....page going to another page.....but what I want to do is when they come back to the page where this Dynamic checkboxlist is on...I want to select all the checkboxes they selected. ...before they went to this other page...so how can I dynamically select certain checkboxes from the dynamic checkbox....? the values will be stored in a querystring...not a database....so how can I use the querystring value and re select the checkbox corrisponding to the querystring value?
This event handler is not responding at all to the click event. On click, the pagination numbers disappear and I'm not able to trace it in the debugger because the event handle doesn't even fire so I have no idea what's going on.

We have something like the above. Extra stuff has been left off as it is a large page.
I place a breakpoint at the begining of Page_Load and DoBar. The first time I click the checkbox, the breakpoint on Page_Load is hit, but DoBar is not. The second time I click the checkbox, both breakpoints are hit.
Why could this be happening? I'm not dynamically generating the checkbox. It's ClientID is the same every time (no dynamically generated or ID'd containers). I've tried resubscribing to the event in the Page_Load, but it didn't hit the first time, and just hit it subsequent times twice.
Update I have tried removing the UpdatePanel completely. Not only does the whole page postback, which I don't want, but the event is still not entered. What can block/swallow an event call like that? Is there some exception deep in the bowels of a master page or framework call or something somewhere that I can't see?
I've been reading up on the problems with dynamically created controls and how they have been solved. The posts I have come across are creating the controls in a panel or some other open place. I can't seem to get my checkbox to fire the event from inside a gridview. below is the code behind from inside the GridView PreRender event.

So after all this, nothing happens. I get the postback flash but my command inside the checked event doesn't fire.I tried putting the dynamic creation of the checkbox in Page Load with no effect.. I think because I can't place the checkbox inside the GridView under page load.
I've stepped through the code and verified this action. It gets to the end sub and just loops again. Also does it on the production server in IE and Chome (that's all I've tried). Here is the button definition on the actual ASP page:

It goes through the code, sends me an email, gets to End Sub, then loops right back to the top of the sub and goes through the whole thing again, sending me a duplicate email, then exiting normally and sending them to the About page. This is the only code in the aspx.vb besides the class def and inherits statement.
I have a two web forms with griviews that are bound to SQL through the same query in a class. Both have the same columns and footers. Both have a checkbox control in each grid row. The checkboxes on each form have OnCheckChanged event handlers that I put in the code behind. In fact, the html code is almost the same on both forms, and the OnCheckChanged code is exactly the same except for the fact that I have named them differently. AutoPostBack is true for both checkbox controls in the gridviews. One works, the other doesn't. The difference between the two is that the gridview row checkboxes that don't work are burried in a MultiView. Could that be why the codebehind event handler doesn't fire?
