View 1 RepliesI've a ASP.Net page (Default.aspx) which will load UserControl (ucontrol.ascx) dynamically into an UpdatePanel. By using UpdatePanel, we believe we're able to prevent the entire page to be posted-back.
My problem is, within the UserControl, we have some form controls, such as inputs and buttons; after the UserControl is loaded, clicking on any button inside the UserControl will cause the UpdatePanel to be blanked. During the investigation, I found that, breakpoints within the Button1_Click() in the code-behind for the UserControl is never reached. Please reference to the code below, this references to [REFERENCE]1.

I am creating dynamic TextBoxes in a page by clicking a LinkButton.
However, after that, if the page is submitted, I can't find the items created dynamically, thus, can't send the information to the database.

My application I am using pagination.Using pagination i bind the records with listview control.
I generate the buttons dynamically according to the number of pages which is calculated from number of records returned from dataSource.when i click on a dynamically generated button its corresponding event handlers methods should get evaluated.Since asp.net page is stateless I can't keep the state of that dynamic controls after any postback.

I am dynamically generating script code to return transaction data to Google Analytics using their ecommerce script. The code that generates the script is fully tested and functional on my development machine and when I view the page code the script, along with any values that were passed to it, can be seen above the </form> tag. Happy days, or so I thought. For some reason the code is not being generated when I test it in a live, hosted environment. I cant figure out why this is the case as the code is quite simple. I simply generate the script code and register it on the client side (see code below)

Whats really interesting is that if I move the Analytics script creator code before the code that sends the emails, the script is generated and can be seen when I view the page code. If I do this, however, the emails do not get sent. If I lay the code out as per the code I have inserted in this post, the emails get sent but the script code is not placed on the page.. I have this issue i have been looking at for a while and cant seem to figure it out. I have two ddl's on my page and a InsertCommand from sqldatasource. My InsertCommand is actually updating the foreign key of the two ddl's in another table. When i click on my button it shows two numbers instead of one. The challenging thing now is that i have
DDLName.Items.RemoveAT("itemName.SelectedIndex")
after the insert so it would not duplicate what i am updating. If i take this statement out of my code. it updates well as in showing the one record that was updated. if i put it back in there it shows two records where updated. I tested my sql statement and its working fine meaning it shows only one record is updating.
I have a main page which display the results when clicked on the search button. Those results are in the gridview. one of the column is a hyperlink. when clicked on the hyperlink, it will display the detail page in an iframe(iframe is in the main page below grid view) which is on the same page.
now i need to make changes to the main page, to display directly the detail page in an iframe when there is a single record. or the grid view when there are multiple recoreds so that user can choose which details they want tlp see when a search button is clicked.
I'm creating 14 textboxes for every day in a month and user can select the month so i have o create them dynamically. But i can't reach the values in the textboxes.
When i don't create them dynamically like

However this moethod doesn't work for the textboxes that i created dynamically. I'm creating them in a loop it's something like;

I would like to add textboxes when a button is clicked. I created a Panel with ID Pnl_language and I use the following code:
When I click, all the Textboxes are created successfully for the first time. But when I click for second or third time etc, it doesn't add more textboxes, it replaces the current with the next number of session. What should I do so it always add 1 more when I click?
In my Admin page, I have a drop down list containing all current user tables in the database. The user chooses one.
My DetailsView below uses that parameter to populate itself with data from that table. The stored procedure used to select the data passes a string to sp_executesql. The string is concatenated from a select statement and the tablename parameter. Can I do something similar for Update/Delete statements? I'm not sure of the best approach, given that I won't know which/how many fields will be in the DetailsView at runtime, and which of these are keys - the choice of table depends on the user. I think Insert will be straightforward - am I right? I would like to streamline things as far as possible. Is it possible to dynamically pass in the values in, say, a string, and get my stored procedure to understand them? And what's the best method of grabbing the values from the DetailsView in this situation?

Scenario is: I have multiple positions and multiple employees.
Now in one of my forms I know how many positions are there and corresponding to each position i want to show Employee DropDownList(DDL) and Text Boxes (Start Time, EndTime) and some comments for each position. Employee DDL will be populated from DB and Position name will be displayed on labels and that too are getting form DB
say at one instance i have 5 positions and then i want DDL of EmployeeName for each position and similarly TextBoxes for each positions Where i can ask user to full the information for each Position and user can save the data.
And at another instance similar behaviour is required if Positions are 10 , 3 , 8.
I am facing a problem with page button evet handling in routing. Sceneario: Page2.aspx is routed to page1.aspx. now when I see the page1.aspx in runtime it shows page name as page1.aspx but content displayed is page2.aspx. In HTML markup it is displaying page1.aspx code. Now the problem is I have a button on page2.aspx. How can I fire event so that it executes the event in page2.aspx and again comes back normally after postback to page1.aspx which contains content of page2.aspx.
