I try to manage the absence of students in the exams, try to insert the id of students absent for each matter,to facilitate that to the user i want insert id_student at once (not one after one by textbox simple)is ther any control or method to do that?

One thing I can use is to retrieve the max(ID) from region and store it in a variable and increment the variable sequentially and insert. But, if any other user inserts a record while I am executing this script then max(id) might clash with the id inserted with other user causing my script to fail.
Is there any other option to insert record sequentially base on the highest number in the table.
I've a form where I'd like to impede the user from entering any alphabits or special characters. The user can only enter numbers between 0 & 3( both inclusive) no more no less.
How can i achieve this ? I've used RangeValidator. Would this alone be suffice or do we also need to use Expression Validator ?

I just want the focus to be in the same texbox if the user enters other than 0,1,2,3.
I have a gridview that I loop through to get the x and y values of the chart control, and upon the first execution of this code, it looks great. But when the page posts back and it "refreshes" data, the original points on the chart control are still there, as well as the new values.
Is there any way to "delete" all data in the chart control to ensure this doesn't happen?

here is my latest bit of insanity. I'm using a formview control. In the insert template, I'm grabbing applicable values from my AD to populate a dropdown list. I select the user I want to insert, enter the other pieces of info required for my request and click Insert. The query responds back stating that the userid is NULL. So the big question in my mind is how can I bind userid to the dropdownlist if I'm populating that from the code behind? Here's my code behind code for that list:

Basically, the user Selects a row on GV that executes an Insert into a table the GV cell values of the selected row.
The SQL field data type is varchar. If the GV field is Null, the Insert adds the value to the SQL field.
