View 4 RepliesI've created a static table, which looks just as I would expect it to, but I want to reduce my work in the future, as I'll need to create more rows and columns to store extra data that's added to my application.
So rather than creating new rows and columns whenever I need to, I'd like to automate the task by pulling the data from the database and populating a table that's dynamically created based on how much data is pulled.
e.g. if there are 10 rows of items in the database, create 10 columns and 10 rows, if a further 5 things get added next week, I want to add another 5 rows and 5 columns etc
Is this where "Dynamic Data" would play a role? If so, it's completely new to me, my needs are just for a single table on a page, not something that needs to be done en'masse all over the website, if that makes a difference?

Here I am binding a gridview. I dont know exactly how many rows it will exists. there may be from 1 to n rows possible there are 4 columns.
Now what I want , i.e. after gridciew binds records, suppose there are 4 rows are bounded to gridview, I want to send all rows data through mail, but in my html format there are fixed rows. I want to add rows according to throws which gridview having.

It is able to hide the actual tab, but the header still appears (though unclickable). I need for the header and the tab to be hidden.

I have a website that sales associates access to view account information with clients. S.A's can only view information for accounts that they are tied to. Some clients have more than one account, S.A's can be tied to more than one account, but not all accounts of one client need to be tied to one S.A.
On the account info pages, I have account numbers (dynamically displayed labels) displayed of other accounts that the account client is associated with, which the S.A's can see. I'm modding this so that if the S.A has viewing permissions of any of the other accounts on that list of accounts, that instead of a label being displayed, a button directing them to that account page will display instead. In order for this to work, I have to attach a security function to the button, otherwise the page will blow out on the S.A's.
So I'm running a piece that is displaying a button instead of a label, which is working fine. My problem is when I try to attach the security event to the dynamically displayed buttons. It seems that the page just posts back and doesn't execute my code at all.
On my Page_Load, I'm running this after the buttons and labels are displayed:

I have an html table with rows and cells. And I have dynamically created a label and would like to assign the label to one of the cells of the table. What I am doing is I have a JavaScript which executes a code behind method and it would not accept an already created asp.net label. So I have created the asp.net label programmatically but cant assign it to the table to display the text value of the label. Below is the code:

View 2 RepliesI have one master page that is used to gather information from a user. It contains asp.net labels and textboxes within a table. For example, the master page contains fields for Name , Phone, Address, etc.
There are content pages that are created to add to the information that needs to be gathered. For example, the content page, Loan Application, could ask for Loan Amount, LTV, etc.
In addition to this, certain content page forms do not need to show a particular master page field. For example, the content page may not need to ask for Phone.
The table rows are stored as public properties in the master page so I can hide them in the content page code behind.

The functionality works perfect, but I don't like how the space is reserved on the page. You can tell that a row was removed. I've tried style="border-collapse:collapse" on both the <table> and <tr> elements. I've also tried to set the row height as a public property and alter that.
I have a table thats created dynamically, the table gets its contents from a custom class I've created that gets statistical data from a database. As the table is generated dynamically, I've put the contents class (the table data) into a session object and I populate the table initially inside a !IsPostback then on the page init I get the data from the session (its empty on the firts page load). I am now getting this error: Multiple controls with the same ID 'controlnamehere' were found. FindControl requires that controls have unique IDs. How can I avoid this?

What I need to do is someting like when user select course 3/3A/2A/2B , the type column will auto select pratical option dynamically. What I am trying to achieve here is as follows. I have a mailing system that works great, I have users from a datasource being looped through and having that message sent to the users that are in that datasource. But my question now is, because I will have multiple queries/datasources (for different users in the mailing system for different purposes), is there a way I can bind a datasource to a radio button and then have that selected radio button be used for the mailing datasource?
