I am developing a web application in which I am suddenly facing an issue. I have a webpage which contains many controls, one of the control is JQuery color picker. Now, I am upgrading my system with telerik controls. As part of this process, I replaced textbox(txtcolor) with radcolorpicker with a different id(colorPicker). Suddenly, my code behind file is not throwing any errors like 'unable to find txtColor'. It is running successfully without build errors. But, when I open the page, system is throwing runtime exception(txtColor not found) which is correct.
I tried to change other controls with asp.net controls, still the problem persists. So, I dont think it is anything to do with telerik.

I have a simple 'file download' generic handler which sets the response contenttype and headers before sending the file through the same response.
I also have Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.server) set in the global.asax.
As I have noticed from various sources, Internet Explorer doesn't like this no-cache setting and gives an error when trying to download the file (requested site unavailable or cannot be found).
I thought maybe I could override this setting in the .ashx page, so I alter the response's cacheability setting to public. This did not solve the issue. removing the line from global.asax does solve the problem but obviously affects the whole site.
Is there a way of setting the cachability just for my generic handler?

I'm trying to get PayPal's ExpressCheckout working with Recurring Payments. I've got the first two stages (the calls to SetExpressCheckout and GetExpressCheckoutDetails) but CreateRecurringPaymentsProfile fails with the error below. I'm using a modified version of Paypal's sample code, but I suspect I'm (not) setting an encoder value. Anyone used this before? The error:

I would like to create a webform in asp.net that allows you add events to a overall application, anyone then can go search that event by a specific date and if that event falls under that recurrence day you will see it. This would be similar to Outlook where you can say it recurs every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,... or every third Monday, ...Specifc day of the month, etc. I have created the webform but now I have the problem of how the database works. I have been reading for the past couple days about this but I cannot figure this out. I found some posts that say you can create a seperate table aside from your main table that holds the eventid and the dates of the recurrenecs. The problem is this table could amount to thousands of lines from just a few events input. My question is, is there a formula out there that can do this without creating a crazy big recurrence table? .... If not, how many lines can a MS SQL database hold before it has performance problems?
Here's a link to another forum I found with my same question but I do not understand the answer:

I have a C# web forms ASP.NET 4.0 web application that uses Routing for URLs for some reason custom errors defined in the system.web section of my web.config is entirely ignored and it will fall back the IIS errors.
This gets entirely ignored
[code]....
This would be a minor inconvenience except that by the fact it falls back to IIS native instead of my application it completely circumvents Elmah logging my 404 exceptions correctly.

Do anyone of you know how to handle XXX.X IIS HTTP errors in a web.config file? I tried doing the following:
<customErrors mode="On" defaultRedirect="error.aspx">
<error statusCode="403" redirect="error403.aspx" />
<!--NOTE: The following does not work-->
<error statusCode="403.9" redirect="error403.9.aspx" />
<!--ENDNOTE-->
<error statusCode="404" redirect="error404.aspx" />
</customErrors>
But obviously that didn't worked, because the web.config file expects an integer as the statusCode value.

Using C# .NET 3.5 with VS 2008.
I've been playing with the FileUpload control for an upcoming project where the user is allowed to upload up to five files at once, but each file can only be 5MB in size. Simple enough all I would need to do is add in the httpRuntime element to the web.config and up the file size and timeout.
[Code]....
what I'm really getting at is there a better way to trap if the file size is too large before processing while using the FileUpload control. I would like to be able to keep the user on the same page but update a label control.

I have been tasked with designing a scheduling system to fit into an existing application. At present I have a SQL Table - Tasks which have a StartDate and EndDate column.
I have a requirement to set the Task as a recurring task i.e. Replace server backup tapes every day, or, Order more stationary once a month.
I am lost on how to design this. I can't seem to find a proper example on the net. can someone point me in the right direction.

I have built an ASP.NET (.NET v4) application in VS 2010. It is working just fine. But when I try to create deployment package (so I can deploy it in our test IIS 7.5 Server), it gives me error like this,
Error 1 Could not open Source file: Could not find file 'C:11-2 estobjDebugCSAutoParameterize ransformedWeb.config'. 0 0 test
Thing is in past, I had deployed the SAME application using the SAME method.

When I build my program, if there's one error that prevents it from running, instead of just getting the one error I'll get around 50 additional errors in addition to the real one such as:
Error 27 Validation (XHTML 1.0 Transitional): This name contains uppercase characters, which is not allowed.
Is there any way to not show these?

I've just started playing around with ASP.NET. I'm using the MVC model of ASP.NET. I'm working on creating the main master right now. I created most of my stuff with good old HTML, except for the ContentPlaceHolders. I created the hyperlinks with regular anchor tags. I created my various controllers and views for each of my main pages. In the anchor tags, I placed the URLs that would be used for in HTML. For example, I have a page called "Register", so I have a controller "RegisterController", then it's Index View. My question is: The code editor tells me it can't find the file in the href attribute. Is there a better way to do hyperlinks in ASP.NET, or do I just need to deal with those warnings?

I know this question has been asked many times and I have done some extensive research on the internet to try and resolve the issue but everything I have tried has failed and I really need to sort this issue out, hence my post. Here is what I have tried:
Change the directory in which the temp files are stored. (Changed locally to each website). Store the XMLSerialization object in a global variable and use that instead of creating a new one each time. Delete all temp files in the windows temp folder. Set permissions on the windows emp folder (I have them set to everyone at the moment just to try and resolve the issue).
My Setup is as follows:
IIS7 on windows 2008 dedicated server.
The website is written in ASP.NET using Delphi.
I have several XML files that need serializing so not just one.
My website talks to the web service and processes the XML (I am guessing this is the part that is breaking everything)
Here is an example:
This is the code for one of my XML files. StockXMLSer is held globally and after testing is only created once per site.
function IntGetSTOCK_ITEMS(S: TStream): STOCK_ITEMS;
begin
if not Assigned(StockXMLSer) then begin
StockXMLSer := XmlSerializer.Create(STOCK_ITEMS.ClassInfo);
OutputDebugString('StockXMLSer Serializer Created');.......
