I have an asp.net TabContainer control on my page (web forms). The TabContainer has two tabs and works fine. The first tab just contains text, the 2nd tab however, contains a JQuery image slider plugin which I used from here [URL]
The slider works fine on a normal page, if even works fine on the first tab. However, I cannot get it to work on the second tab. I've read that it's something to do with the fact that the second tab is inactive on load, therefore its display is set to none.
I am using asp.net 4.0 and I have use FormView with JQuery Validation but thing is that when I close my Internet connection my browser will show offline. What can be be the problem and How to detect which thing is trying to connect Internet How can I solve it.
I developed a page where i m using jquery treeview plugin to generate tree. It worked fine on FF, IE8 with out ajax. But when my page loads thro' ajax call in IE8, it is not collapsing or expanding tree.
On the following website, when I click the dropdown for the Login at the upper right, it is displayed behind the silverlight map. I can't use windowless mode because this would disable scrolling and menus on the map. I have tried putting the z-index everywhere, but I can't seem get it to work.

I have a Silverlight/RIA application that worked fine locally and on my IIS 7 server. Now that I've moved it to Azure, I'm getting EndpointNotFoundExceptions.

DomainService.svc/binary/SeviceEndpoint

Here is an easy one:I need a stable simple file uploader with a progress bar, I have found lots of fancy ones from the search. However, I need the community opinion on which ones to go with? Tutorial links would be appreciated.BOUNTY: I have a FileStream which I would like to upload to a server, below is a sample server server URL:string uploadUri;string SavedFileName = "testXRay.jpg" uploadUri = @"http://localhost/MyApplication/Upload/Images/" + SavedFileName;I am adding a bounty in hope to get a working solution which I could use from my SL application. MyApplication is hosted in IIS.
I have a Silverlight 3 application. It accesses WCF services that run on IIS. If I let the application sit for a while with no activity, it appears that I lose my connection to the server/login authentication, and my service calls fail.
It would appear that I am being logged out for security purposes, but this is not an area that I understand well. We are using a federated STS to create an encrypted token for security.
Can someone explain what is happening (if my description is clear enought), and how can I detect this event in my Silverlight application and redirect them back to the login page.
i have develop my silver light application using asp.net and i want to deploy it , i am using vs 2010 and planing to use vsweb deployment project 2010 for beta
I've got a Silverlight app that has to accept some initial data when it fires up. That data, unfortunately, MUST come from XML input. In addition, I can't just pass it through the URL because the actual request is coming from a server external to my own.
So the basic setup is this: Remote server needs to launch my app. Remote server pops open a window on the user's PC with a URL directed at a CGI application that can accept the XML input. The CGI app parses the input and spits out an HTML page containing the Silverlight app with all of the init params set. Long story short: When the Silverlight app is opened this way I can't debug it. I attach to the process, but none of the break points can be hit.
I tried every way in the world to get the ASP.NET page that would normally host the Silverlight app to accept the XML in the URL but it would get stripped by ASP.NET because of security reasons and no amount of modifying the config file would fix it (since it was stemming from the other web server presumably).
I am working on an Entertainment Website, my client wants to save videos in the database, i am a bit aware of silverlight, that it can be done through microsoft's silverlight platform.
how to accomplish my goal, i am using ASP.Net with C# and LINQ and backend in MS-SQL Server 2008.
I have an ASP.NET site running on the Visual Studio Development Server. I also have a silverlight project in my solution. I get the error:
Error: Unhandled Error in Silverlight Application Code: 2104 Category: InitializeError Message: Could not download the Silverlight application. Check web server settings
After some research, it seems I need to do the equivalent of setting the MIME type in HTTP Headers in IIS for VSDS. Is this right?
If so, how do I do this? If not how do I get my silverlight to run in my ASP.NET solution using Visual Studio Development Server?
I have a login control that is working beautifully on my localhost, but not working on the server. It validates my username & password - and gives me an error if I enter an invalid username/password. However, if I enter the correct username/password, the page refreshes, but does not redirect me to the "ReturnUrl" that I see in the URL. I've seen posts on this, but nothing that I tried worked. I've tried setting the 'MembershipProvider'attribute of the login control. I don't want to set the DestinationUrl...I want it to take what is in the ReturnUrl in the querystring. I don't think it's a web.config issue cuz it works on localhost??
i made a after delete trigger on a table1 and in this trigger i insert the deleted data in another table name tab2.

I have created a dynamic Robots.txt file for my application and I have created an redirect entry in my web config in the <system.web> section and it works perfectly in my development environment but once I uploaded the file to my server it does not work and gives me an error 404.Requested URLhttp://www.canadawelcome.ca:80/robots.txt

I'm using the full-text feature on SQL Server 2008 RC2. Everything had been working well until today. I wanted to change the language for word breakers from Neutral to Slovakia. After I did that, I can't perform full-text search anymore. It simply give me no rows. I even deleted the old full-text catalog and created a new one and populated it, but it still gave no solutions. I tried to query dm_fts_index_keywords_by_document on my table and get only 1 row with a display term END OF FILE.
I have such sql query, in which there are 8 to 9 temp table generated and from each temp table, I am fetching data with use of read table.
I want to store temp table output into gridview, but after using sqlcommand,I am able to display first temp table output into gridview, but after executing query first temp table destroyed and second sql query which is using first temp table, is not getting reference. as first temp table is not available.
e.g. #temp1 -> I am able to display out put in grid view & destroyed
#temp2 -> which is using #temp1, but not getting reference of #temp1.
I am currently building 3-tired ASP.NET 3.5 Web application which has workflows built in for manager approvals. Currently there is a dashboard on the homepage of the website where all the pending approvals are displayed in a webpart. I want to build a plugin for MS Outlook so that whenever there is a new request for approval I want that request to show up in MS outlook. Where do I start with this? Do I have to expose my business logic layer through webservices?
